20 Celebs Who Became Hallmark Movie Stars

Candace first captured our hearts as DJ in Full House. But once the show wrapped, she stayed in the game by starring in several Hallmark films such as Christmas Under Wraps, Let It Snow, and most recently, Shoe Addict's Christmas. And if that's not riding strong for Hallmark, Candace even has her own TV movie series, Aurora Teagarden Mysteries, with a number of films to boot.

Television has been good to Lacey. She starred as the youngest sibling in the hit show Party of Five in the '90s, and then had a new shot at fame with her role in Mean Girls. Lacey has appeared in the Hallmark movies Family For Christmas and All of My Heart, just two of the 13 films in total for the network (and counting) -- not to mention her own Hallmark TV movie series, Crossword Mysteries.

Hallmark fans must really love this her!

Danica McKellar is best known for her role as Winnie Cooper on the hit show The Wonder Years. But that didn't stop her from pursuing more acting roles, and boy did she hit the jackpot. She's appeared in countless Hallmark films -- such as Very, Very Valentine, Crown For Christmas, and Christmas at Grand Valley.

Cameron has been part of the Hallmark family since his first film with the network in 2013. He was a soap star and appeared on All My Children for 13 years. In addition to his many Hallmark films, Cameron is also the current host of the daily Home and Family talk show on the network.

Alison Sweeney is known for her 25-year run as Sami Brady on Days of Our Lives. But during that time, she also managed to star in a number of Hallmark movies, including Second Chances, Love On The Air, and Christmas at Holly Lodge. She has the star role as Alex McPherson in The Chronicle Mysteries, yet another TV movie series for the network.

Alexa PenaVega got her start as a child actress, playing Carmen Cortez in the Spy Kids film series. She grew up and became a full-fledged Hallmark star, acting in lovable holiday films like Enchanted Christmas and Christmas Made to Order. When she's not filming Christmas flicks for Hallmark, Alexa also stars in other movies for the network -- such as Destination Wedding and Love at Sea, a feel-good film that also stars her real-life hubby, Carlos PenaVega.

Rachael is a Hallmark regular and has worked on a number of films for the network. She recently talked to Entertainment Tonight about her character, Frankie Baldwin, in the Vineyard movie franchise (there's been four films thus far).

"I feel tremendously invested in maintaining the integrity of the character, because I really love her strength and her wit, and I feel so lucky to be fated to be able to play her every time," she gushed.

The She's All That star has also acted in other Hallmark ventures, like Frozen in Love and Summer Love.

Lori Loughlin was best known for her role as Aunt Becky on Full House and Fuller House -- that was until a shocking college admissions scandal tarnished her reputation and got her booted from pretty much all of her acting gigs.

But before that, she had a successful career with Hallmark, starring in films such as Every Christmas Has a Story, and When Calls the Heart (the television series and movie). Lori even had her own TV movie series, Garage Sale Mysteries, that had like 15 movies!

Jodie Sweetin is the third Full House cast member on this list and made her Hallmark debut in Finding Santa in 2017. Since then, she's starred in Entertaining Christmas, My Perfect Romance, and Love Under The Rainbow. We predict a few more Hallmark movies in Sweetin's future as she's got quite a ways to go to reach costars Lori Loughlin and Candace Cameron Bure.

Chad Michael Murray has had a prolific career, starring in shows like One Tree Hill, Agent Carter, Sun Records, and now Riverdale. But he's also starred in two Hallmark movies, Road To Christmas, and The Beach House that made us swoon.

Dean Cain has worn many different in hats in his lifetime. He started out as a professional football player, playing for the Buffalo Bills, but his sports career was sidelined after a debilitating knee injury. People will likely recognize him from his role as Superman on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, but he's also had a lasting career as a Hallmark star, appearing in 15 holiday movies alone.

Sara played Jo Payden in the Hallmark movie All For Love back in 2017*.* Her latest project,True Love Blooms, is set to premiere on April 6 that will likely be a must-see TV movie of the season*.* Prior to working with Hallmark, Sara starred in the TV shows Popular, Eastwick, and Rules of Engagement.

This was almost too sad to write. Luke Perry was a fantastic actor and really got to flex his chops in the handful of Hallmark films. Luke starred in six films for Hallmark and got to play a range of characters -- from an outlaw to a judge to a cop.

Sadly, Luke Perry passed away on March 4, 2019, after suffering a massive stroke.

He'll definitely be missed.

Speaking of True Love Blooms, costar Jordan Bridges has seen some success with made-for-TV-movies. He's starred in them since 1982! Jordan appeared in his first Hallmark film in 1996 in the film Stranger to Love and has been going ever since.

If Jordan looks familiar to some '90s kids, he should. The actor starred in Drive Me Crazy as Eddie Lampell, the jock we loved to hate.

Arielle Kebbel has a running theme with her Hallmark films: marriage. She's starred in the films A Bride for Christmas and Bridal Wave, as well as A Brush With Love where she plays an artist about to give up on her dreams. Arielle's is definitely a star on the rise at Hallmark.

Holly has starred in more than a few Hallmark movies (Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa is a recent fave). The actress even has her own TV movie series, Morning Show Mystery, and a reality show with her family, Meet the Peetes.

Hilarie Burton has starred in her fair share of Hallmark films. Though her 2018 holiday film, The Christmas Contract, aired on Lifetime (we did tune in for the One Tree Hill mini reunion!) Hilarie has starred in Naughty or Nice, Surprised by Love, and Summer Villa.

After playing the token "hot guy" in Desperate Housewives and the titular character in John Tucker Must Die, Jesse found a home at Hallmark. He's done a handful of movies for the network, but it's his role in the original series Chesapeake Shores that he's most proud of.

"I love what I do, but I want to make sure that this show is really grounded and not just existing in this utopian fairy-tale land," he told Entertainment Tonight. "I think we're accomplishing that more and more each year."

Sam Page decided to become an actor on a whim, and lucky for him, it paid off. He had some small roles on television, but it was his role in the Hallmark Channel film Royal New Year's Eve as Prince Jeffery that got our attention. He also stars in The Story of Us for the network as a sexy property builder.

LeAnn tackled her first Hallmark film, It's Christmas, Eve head on. She produced, sang, and acted in the film!  But what was most important to her was the story line that showcased a happy, blended family.

"I thought that there's not enough light shed upon [stepfamilies] in a positive way, so this was a perfect opportunity to do so," the celeb stepmom told Glamour. "I have a wonderful step-dad in real life, so once again, it was nice to pull in the blended family aspect into the film."
