Balance the Salon

I had the worst haircut of my life two months ago at Balance. The stylist, if you could call her that, did not listen to anything I asked for and gave me the same haircut as herself - an outdated style I would never have asked for as it is ugly and doesn't work with my hair type whatsoever.

It will be 6 months to a year before my hair has recovered from the extraordinary amount she took off. I've been so angry every single day since this happened and I look awful/very aged.

I truly don't understand how this person has this job or how this salon is in business. I would never recommend this place to anyone, not even a bald person.

My daughter and I needed haircuts and gave Balance a try because they are an Aveda salon. They were absolutely fabulous. I have short hair and needed an updated look for my daughter's wedding. Matt did my hair and it was hands-down the best cut I have had in 30 years!!!! He really worked with me and gave me a great look that was easy and not fussy! I love it!
My daughter saw Brooke. She has very long hair and loves her new cut.
It was a great experience and we will both definitely be back!

The salon is lovely and comfortable. Veronica is so gracious while checking people in and out and keeping track of my appointments. LoriJean is my stylist. She has worked with me to find and maintain a great style for my hair type. Super professional and excellent stylist. Overall good experience. There is validated parking in the Remington Row garage. You can pay by card, but bring cash for a tip.

I am very pleased to find this place. Ken is a very talented artist. Very friendly atmosphere, caring people around. The results are as expected (I did my research)! Most def coming back!
P.S. If you want to add some tips for your hairdresser, bring cash. You can't add tips to your bill)

I went here for the first time on Saturday. Woody was my stylist and he did such an amazing job. He helped me figure out what I wanted and executed it perfectly and was so kind in the process! Recently, my hair has become drier/more coarse- he gave me great tips to improve the health of my hair. I highly recommend this salon. Just one note for folks- they aren't able to accept tips on cards so bring cash!

Balance is a lovely salon. Lori-Jean is amazing! It is so nice to have a stylist who I can trust to do what is best for my hair. She is so good at knowing what works best for my hair and making me look good. I am so happy I found her! She's a true artist!

I want to share my thoughts about my recent visit to Balance Hair Salon on Remington Ave. in Baltimore. I love this place ! It has a very cool vibe, and a welcoming atmosphere in a clean and covid safe environment. Everyone wore masks, and if you needed a mask, they had them right there for you. The stylist ( Karen) was attentive to my needs and requests and listened carefully to my ramblings about my covid hair- yes , this was my first time in a salon since covid began! I was so happy with the results; I will definitely return to Balance and recommend that you check it out yourself, I think you will also be pleased. I highly recommend Ken at Balance! He is a true artist and the best stylist I've ever had. Ken takes the time to get the cut and color just right and works to understand the unique characteristics of the natural hair. My entire family starting going to him after seeing my results. We wish we could take Ken with us following our move!

Have been coming to Balance for two years now. Kenny is great at what he does and I fall in love with my hair all over again every time I leave his chair!

Had a thoroughly wonderful experience from start to finish at Balance the Salon. Stylists in this salon are both thoughtful and personable while providing excellent hairstyling and care. Matt, the owner, is very evidently considerate and caring to his stylists. Although both he and Heather were available at the time I needed a cut and I had no preference between them, he recommended Heather. Heather did my hair and it turned out beautifully. Not only did I get everything I requested for in my haircut, (great communication and convo!), but I also received a bunch of advice and learned a lot about tips and tricks on hairstyling. Thank you so much for a great time. I'll be back when it's time to get another cut/style.
