I've long been a fan of Bill Pullmans and here he is deliciously cast way against type. I was however a bit annoyed at how the woman didn't fight back much. That might read bad but it's just a small niggle. The ending is a hoot. I did not see that coming. A pre Final Destination Devon Sawa gives a fairly average performance. The lovely Gabrielle Anwar is suitably cast as the victim. There's even a nice explosion here. Worth watching for John Fitzgerald Byers and Penny Northern both from The X Files. As far as content goes there's at least one nasty part here but the opener is fun. It's all been done before many times. It's still a film that NEEDS to be seen for Bills performance alone. Just don't go expecting the film to make you laugh...

What could have been a simple straightforward tale of a women seeking revenge for a sexual assault turns into a complex jigsaw of connecting pieces with more twists and turns than a worm on a corkscrew. Just when you think the movie has reached a satisfactory conclusion off it goes on a different thread, and you just do not know what to expect next! KAN
