    Mostly Good
Having been about a decade since I was last here, a friend and I made this a stop on our vacation itinerary. The park is very pretty. Lots of flowers and clean midway make the place shine. Employees are mostly friendly, and the rides are in good condition. Parking is still free. My only real gripe with this place is lack of water to drink. There is one fountain in the park, and it was not working properly. When I asked someone in a food stand for a cup of ice water, I was told, "No!" I could either buy a $4 bottle of water or go thirsty. That's not right! Other amusement parks WILL give patrons a cup of water FREE of charge when they ask for water. From what I've heard, it is not legal to withhold free water at a public place. Come on, management. This rests on you.

    It Keeps Getting Better!
I grew up coming to Funtown, and the park has been very focused on expanding their waterpark. However, this year they invested in a brand new dark ride/haunted hotel experience. It was downright spectacular. Funtown does a 21+ event on select Saturdays in the summer, and this was the most fun I've ever had at Funtown. Excalibur is a very old-school, nostalgic, rough and tumbly wooden coaster that will bring a smile to young and old alike. The new dark ride is state of the art and downright beautiful. The Log Flume is still kicking butt and many rides from my childhood have been beautifully restored (Dragon's Descent got a whole new paint job! It looks great!) I can't say enough positives about this park. They struggles with COVID but they've rebounded exponentially. Cannot recommend this place enough. :) GO!!!

Nice day out for a family
This is a nice place to spend the day with your family. We did both sides and the kids enjoyed both. The older rides are kind of hidden so it feels like you have to explore to find them. Concessions are expensive and choices seem to run out. Food is ballpark quality and similar choices. Place seems safe and the teenagers running the rides seem attentive enough. You do have to carry a tube to the top of the water rides instead of them providing at the top. There’s a good mix of teen and tot rides

I haven't been to Funtown Splashtown in over 30 years. Now that I'm returning with my own children, I was disappointed to see how old and tired all the rides looked. As we were done paying at the ticketing booth, the manager there asked us to come back and forced us to upgrade one of my kid's tickets from a child to adult ticket and pay the extra fee as he was just a smidge over the "child" height. With that, my son was too scared to go on the "adult" rides and not allowed to go on the more age appropriate kiddy rides. It was a really sad and disappointing experience for him. The only redeemable quality about this place is the water park. However the changing rooms were dark and absolutely FILTHY and the food stands are way overpriced. The wait time for the Mammoth family tube ride was easily over an hour long because the attendants at the bottom couldn't bother to grab a few extra family rafts to send up and waited for those currently in use to put back in rotation when the raft dolly could have easily accommodated more. Will not return.

Me and a few friends went to "Fun Town All Grown Up Night" July 16th 2022 . And I have to say that this was the worst night I've had in a long time ( and I had to pay for the experience ) . First, we had to pay 25 dollars to get in and once we got in, there was so many people that I was only able to get on one ride all night and I had to wait in line for 1 hour to get on that ride .

The place itself was OK and in general a nice park but I feel like the Person or Persons in charge of this event, did a Very Very Poor Job at setting this event up . There was a VERY Long line for Everything we tried to do, from going on a ride, ordering food and drink and even going to the rest room, nearly impossible to do anything ( so what did pay for ) .

The food that we were able to get was way over priced and To sum thing's up, I feel like I got took by a bunch of shyster's .

Like I said above, the place is an OK place, but it's definitely in need of Owners that not only want to make money but also want to make sure that their customers get what they pay for and can actually enjoy their time there .

Have had seasons passes for the entire family (a yearly Christmas present) for the past nine years, at least.
The park is clean, well maintained and supervised and has beautiful flower plantings throughout the park.
Food and drinks have gotten prohibitively expensive to purchase, which has not always been the case.
It’s great you can pack a picnic lunch and save that expense.
We really miss the park being open at night, as we used to love going there after dinner to walk around and take the kids on the rides.
Hopefully, someday things will be back to normal.
Love Funtown/Splashtown. ❤️

Had not been here for many years. We brought our three kids (4, 9, 13) today, and they all had a blast. Admission price was reasonable (food and beverage prizes were not). Two young workers manning the top of a waterslide totally ignored my young son today when he got confused and hesitant about what to do.....I was at the bottom waiting, and after three or four minutes of seeing other sliders come out, I finally went up to see where he was and what had happened. They acted dumb and disinterested, and had not helped him at all. (He was finally sliding down as I was fighting through the line to get up). Really poor. Finally, as other reviewers have noted, they are too strict about not allowing slightly older kids to go on the rides that their younger siblings are going on (but the parents are free to go on.) Makes little sense. Overall, though, we had a good time. Easily spent 7 hours combined, (3 in funtiwn, 4 in splashtown).

i loved this park . it is a perfect place if you have young kids. im confused by the reviews of people talking about the price. have you not been to an amusement park before ? This is actually less then majority of amusement parks. The park was very clean and well maintained . my only complaint is that they should be open later.

I made reservations for my daughters 8th birthday party at funtown on 8/14/14. When I made the reservation, I was told the party would be catered, and would have enough food for 10 people with cake and ice cream. I paid $90.00 for the "party". When we got to the main gate at funtown that day, we asked again how much food came with the party and we was told enough for 10 people. We told them there was only 4 people in our group, so we would have extra food and we would bring it home, they said that was fine.
We got to the hungry bear for the party at 1 pm. and someone was waiting for us to get there. We sat down and he poured us 1 cup of kool-aid and asked how many people, we told him there was four of us, he went inside and came back with 4 slices of cheese pizza and 4 cups of fries. The pizza was barely warm and the fries were just about cold. After about 5 minutes, he came back and asked if we wanted the cake. We told him we were expecting at least 1 full pizza and thought it would be pepperoni and fresh. We asked for a refund and told him the pizza was old and my family did not like the food. He said he would not give us a refund and was really rude about it and scared my daughter. He brought a couple slices pepperoni pizza that was not any better. There was not any decorations at all, no balloons, no streamers, no hats, no birthday plates, no party favors what so ever. He came back with the cake for my daughter and when we looked at the candles, the were used and some were melted down quite a bit. The cake didn't have my daughters name or age on it. He sliced the cake which I told him I would cut the cake, he put one little sliver in front of all of us and picked the cake up and walked off. My daughter didn't take one bite of the cake because of the way it looked. The ice cream was in a tiny plastic cup with about 1/2 cup of swirl ice cream, not even in a cone. And she didn't eat that either because she doesnt like chocolate. She was so disappointed she didn't smile once during the whole 15 min. It was the worst "party" ive ever been to, it was a horrible waste of money.
The rest of fun town and splash town were great and she loved it. we went and bought food and ice cream from a place at fun town and spent about 12 dollars and she was happy and ate every bit of her taco then we got her some ice cream and she loved it.
Later that day, my daughter told us the man who brought the pizza was rude and she started crying because the party was so lame. I will never recommend a birthday party from fun town again!! We asked for a partial refund that evening and we were treated like we were trying to get extra money back, and was giving a huge attitude by the manager named mark. What ever happened to the customer is always right? I hope people learn from my experience and not have a birthday party at fun town, you and your children will hate it for sure!!

Typed this whole review of how this place would not let my six year old 47 1/2 inch child on the kiddie rides because with his shoes he was 48 1/2 inches tall I think they wanted the money which I paid them extra for and told them my son has autism and wouldn't ride the big rides and wanted to go on kiddie rides with his brother they made my son cry and we got a refund and left not accommodating to kids with disabilities hope this gets posted because last post never made it somehow negative reviews are removed

My family and I have been coming to splashtown/funtown for 20+ years every July. We love that they have a discounted rate after 3pm ($24 - 48' or taller -- $18 - 38' to 48' -- free below 38') and can go to Splashtown from 3-6 and funtown until close. This week we were so excited to come and enjoy all the fun they have to offer just like an other year. We are a family of (23) extended included, although, we all arrive together. When we arrived the weather wasn't promising and before we paid $500 we asked if there was a rain policy. We were told if we were asked to get out of the pool we come get our combo pass refunded to come back another day.

After about 10 mins in Splashtown it begins to rain and are told we must get out of the water and we cannot go on any tall rides in the Amusement Park. We decided that since we had just arrived we should try to get a weather refund right away and come back the next day.

As we arrive to the guest services counter we several families trying to get a refund as well. When it was our turn mention that we have been here a little under 20 mins and we would like to come back tomorrow as we where promised by the ticket employee. She then told us since it was just a 10 - 15 min stop that we were not allowed to get a refund. It has now been about 50 mins with the pack up and waiting in line to speak with someone. I mentioned that was not what were promised. After a couple of minutes their office phone rings and the person on the phone said we could get our refund and come back tomorrow. Fantastic!!!

We all (23 people) stood in line to get our bracelets cut off and promised we would be back tomorrow and would not return to the park which I thought they were removing all of our admission bracelets. I then realized after looking at our refund vouchers that we were given a pass for the water park only, although, we had just paid for both an hour before at this point. I again told the guest service employee that was not what we were promised since we had all just paid for a combo pass upon arrival and asked to speak with a manager. We were then approached by a middle aged women with dark hair. I told her the situation and she started yelling at me and my family about how we cannot get our refund for the combo and she continually pointed at a printout that was taped to the outside of guest services window (she is still screaming). At this point the children in our party were very upset and scared because she was yelling. So embarrassing.

I feel as thou we were treated terribly. We had been there less then an hour after all said and done and all we asked was a refund to come back the next day and enjoy all they have to offer. What a disappointment.

I emailed the corporate office last night and still no response. Not even an apology. Not to mention the $500 that we lost. In the end we all left unhappy and ripped off. So sad that a family tradition had to end like this.
