    Stupendous Historical Glenn Curtiss Museum
Happy that the museum was open on a Sunday afternoon. One hour video on Glenn Curtiss is a must-see it before you go through the museum. Wright brothers seemed to get most of the fame, but unbelievable what Curtiss did with motorcycles and then the future of aviation. Actual vintage bicycles, motorcycles, numerous airplanes, engines and some beautiful autos. Some donated and some on loan! Clean rest rooms, kids play area, nice gift shop. Great history of a local and national hero. His unadorned tombstone in nearby Mt. Pleasant cemetery.

Must see for Aviation and Hidden History Enthusiasts!
This is a hidden gem. Watching the film is a must and we found it beneficial to watch before touring the museum. The film is an hour long and worth every minute. We were surprised to find Curtiss being more the founder of aviation than the Wright brothers. Curtiss is already known as the “Father of Naval Aviation.” Actual motorcycles he rode, as well as, originals and exact replicas of the planes are on display. Classic automobiles are also on display. One of the people in our party rides a scooter, and found this museum to be fully accessible. We highly recommend visiting this museum.

    Great Museum
Glad we planned this stop on our way to Watkins Glen race week. Great history in this museum. From the earliest bicycle designs to the constant upgrades of motorcycles(fastest man on earth) and, of course, aircraft. This museum is very informative, and the layout lets you go freely to all exhibits. So much to see and read up on my wife, and I agreed that this is more than a one-time stop, we will be visiting this museum every year for many to come.

Great museum! Fantastic displays showing Glenn Curtiss' migration from making bicycles to motorcycles, to airplanes. Also old cars and motorcycles on display. Loved the special Snoopy and the Red Baron exhibit.

Mu husband has wanted to go here wince he read about Glenn Curtiss a few years ago. It did not disappoint. The displays are very well done and the bikes and planes are really a marvel. You need at least 2 hours here, so take your time. The museum is more than plane, bikes and motor bikes though, it's a real testament to the major contributions of 20th century ingenuity that came out of Central New York and the Finger Lakes Region. Only real negative was that no volunteers were working in the workshops, which we would have love to see.

This museum is small and filled with articles from the life of Glenn Curtiss. I would say that around 40% of the museum articles are antiques not pertaining to aircraft or flying. Should take about 1-1.5 hours to look at. Very nice building and well kept.

Previously we didn't know who Glenn H. Curtiss was until our friend took him to the Glenn H. Curtiss Museum. It turns out that Glenn H. Curtiss is one of the pioneers of American aviation. Glenn H. Curtiss is a genius and self-taught in aeronautical science. The museum has many historical items such as bicycles, motorbikes, cars and a collection of airplanes. in the museum, there are also remains of planes that played a role in WW 2

Excellently presented museum of early aviation. Surprised to learn that Mr. Curtis attained flight before Wright Brothers! Also that he held a land speed record that held for many years and did it on one of his motorcycle’s! It’s also a great motorcycle museum. I also enjoyed the numerous antique cars. Unfortunately my wife was bored out of her mind.

Glenn Hammond Curtiss was a racer, engine expert and aviation pioneer. The museum has collections of bicycles, antique motorcycles and automobiles and various Curtiss and war planes. There are also plane engines, a hands-on children's area and a small area devoted to the history of Hammondsport. A documentary 63 minute video is a good introduction. Browse the gift shop for aviation related books and much more

Spent a morning at the museum. Never realized how important Hammondsport was in aviation history. They had a short movie to view about Glenn Curtiss. We especially enjoyed looking at the refurbishing rooms. A nice, relaxing way to spend a morning.
