God Has Given Us Different Gifts for Doing Certain Things Well

Happy Friday Saints.

Yesterday, we ended with the thought of enjoying other people’s success while staying focused on your own race.

God’s calling and gifts for each of us are DIFFERENT.

You can’t enjoy what others are gifted at if their success makes you feel inferior.

Romans 12:6 tells us that, “IN HIS GRACE, GOD HAS GIVEN US DIFFERENT GIFTS FOR DOING CERTAIN THINGS WELL.”

Comparing yourself to others is like comparing a bicycle to a water kettle. They were created for different purposes and are useful in different ways. You can’t ride a kettle from one place to another, and you can’t boil water with a bicycle.

You don’t have to feel bad about not being able to do certain things well. God didn’t create you with the ability to be awesome at EVERYTHING.

What you can’t appreciate in others, you’re in danger of becoming jealous of. There is absolutely no need for you to be jealous of anyone.

When someone excels in their God-given gifts – REJOICE and give glory to God. Your appreciation of their gifts opens the door for you to be blessed by their abilities. And as you focus on your unique gifts and callings – you’ll become a blessing to others too.

Our gifts mean nothing without other people to give them to. Serve others freely and willingly this weekend.

God bless and lots’a love,
Warren
