Mingzan is the het ship between Ghazan and Ming-Hua from The Legend of Korra fandom.
Canon[]
It is unknown how Ghazan and Ming-Hua first met, but they were both in the Red Lotus together. They were both involved in a plan to capture the Avatar Korra, which failed and resulted in them being imprisoned separately for thirteen years. Eventually, Zaheer escaped and rescued Ghazan. The two then worked together to save Ming-Hua. Ming-Hua told Ghazan and Zaheer that she was not sure if she would ever see their ugly mugs again, and Ghazan sarcastically replied that it was nice to see her too. They later worked together to break P'Li out of her prison.
Ghazan and Ming-Hua later worked together on several attempts to capture Korra. Eventually, Zaheer sent them to capture Korra while she was in the Spirit World. The two worked together to fight and capture Mako and Bolin. Korra was captured by the Earth Queen's forces instead so they took their captives to Ba Sing Se. Along the way, Bolin decided to make up stories about Ghazan, sensing an unspoken attraction between him and Ming-Hua. Ghazan was impressed and said that two of the three stories he made up were true.
Ghazan and Ming-Hua later worked together during the battle at the Northern Air Temple. Ghazan led Mako, Bolin, and Asami to Tenzin while Ming-Hua used her waterbending to set up fake airbenders. Ghazan started to fight them until Ming-Hua told him to just bury them so they could leave. Later, they took off in an airship together and saw Zaheer fly. Eventually, the Red Lotus managed to poison Korra and force her into the Avatar state so they could kill her. Ming-Hua and Ghazan worked together to kill her until Mako and Bolin arrived to fight them. Mako managed to kill Ming-Hua, and Ghazan decided to commit suicide to take her down with him.
Fanon[]
Mingzan is a fairly popular Red Lotus ship. Some just ship the two together so that Red Lotus members can be shipped together, but the pairing became popular after Bolin suggested that there might be an attraction between the two. When Mako joined Bolin against Ghazan, some speculated that he had found out that Ming-Hua was dead and was upset about it, which was partly why he committed suicide. Many fans feel that they are a great match because they always seem to work well together. In fan fiction, Ghazan and Ming-Hua were often portrayed as having a relationship before their imprisonment.
