Suicide

American duo Suicide are one of the most prolific and impactful musical acts to burst into the no wave scene in the 70s and 80s. Consisting of multi-instrumentalist Martin Rev and vocalist Alan Vega, the two would go on to make hair-raising and gripping synth punk tunes of the 20th century.

The duo were also known for violent and confrontational live performances early in their career, most of which often resulted in 9-1-1 calls.

Their debut album Suicide (although initially met with mixed reviews), has become a staple of industrial and no wave music, as well as a relevant synth punk record.
