Once parked, visitors could walk the boardwalk to the beach or take a ride on the complimentary shuttle (7 passenger golf cart/tram). The boardwalk was lovely with the growth of natural habitat along the way. The beach offered bathrooms and an outdoor bar/restaurant, Rhodes End. The restaurant offered salads, sandwiches, gyros and more. While priced on the high side, the portion was quite large; we split a sandwich and fries. It was very good. The beach was great. People were friendly and respectful of space. - Vacation368800104632 contributionsSuch an amazing place! A must do for those who enjoy nature and the company of birds. Staff are all volunteers, very friendly and happy to answer questions. Strictly donation based. Don’t forget to wear bug spray and bring plenty of blueberries and unsalted almonds as treats.
