Factors That Shaped Our Selection of the Biggest and Best Natural Bodybuilders

In curating the list of the biggest and best natural bodybuilders, we meticulously considered a range of factors that distinguish these athletes in the realm of unassisted muscle development.

Competitive Excellence

Our primary focus was on individuals who excelled in prestigious natural bodybuilding competitions, including the Natural Mr. Olympia, Natural Universe, and Natural World.

These competitions serve as pivotal stages for showcasing unassisted muscle development and overall prowess in the sport.

Longevity and Consistency

We prioritized bodybuilders with sustained success over the years, acknowledging those who consistently performed at the highest levels

Multiple victories in renowned competitions were particularly taken into account, underscoring their enduring dominance.

Impact Beyond the Stage

Acknowledging the influence these athletes wield beyond competitive settings, we considered their advocacy for natural bodybuilding and their role as influencers.

Those who seamlessly transitioned into sharing insights and methodologies, contributing positively to fitness culture, received special recognition.

Harmonious Blend

The chosen bodybuilders embody a harmonious blend of competitive success, sustained dedication, and a positive influence extending beyond the confines of bodybuilding stages.

This combination sets them apart as the biggest and best in the realm of natural bodybuilding.

“Natural” Bodybuilders or Not?

In this category we are going to look at the lifters and bodybuilders who claim to be natural but when you look at the evidence, they probably are not natural at all.

Mike O’Hearn

Mike “O Tren” is one of the most famous bodybuilders on the planet, and whether you like him or not, the fact remains that he has done a great amount for the sport.

Mike has been accused of using all kinds of steroids, including the aforementioned Trenbolone. More realistically, he does what Liver King did which is using a tremendous amount of Growth Hormone.

Another factor to consider is that you can never find a bad picture of Mike. He’s always shredded, always looking good.

This is one of the key signs of steroid use, if someone is always in great shape, they’re probably on the juice.

Sadik Hadzovic

Another figure that is always brought into this conversation is Sadik. Sadik is a professional bodybuilder and is still competing to this day.

Sadik is now small person, as you can see, and the levels of vascularity and graininess he brings to the stage draw an immense amount of suspicion.

Sadik has been accused of the whole lot. Steroids, Growth Hormone, etc. Truth be told, for any human to step on the modern Mr. Olympia stage they most likely are taking a lot of stuff.

Ryan Terry

Ryan is another popular bodybuilder who has claimed to be Natural. However, Ryan has competed on the Mr Olympia stage for multiple years now, and as with Sadik, that is really, really hard.

Ryan carries a massive amount of muscle but is also always in shape. Again, a telltale sign that someone is on gear is if they are lean or massive year-round.

Ryan makes his living off his body, so, it would not be a stretch to think he does everything he can to win.

Who is No 1 Body Builder in the World?

In the realm of bodybuilding, the quest for supremacy is an ever-evolving narrative, but one name consistently echoes as a pinnacle of achievement โ€“ Kiyoshi Moody

Crowned the No. 1 bodybuilder in the world, Moody’s journey has been nothing short of extraordinary.

With an unparalleled dedication to his craft, Moody has clinched the prestigious Natural Mr. Olympia title a staggering six times, solidifying his status as a living legend in the bodybuilding arena.

Moody’s ascendancy to the top is marked by a harmonious fusion of raw strength, meticulous training, and an unwavering commitment to natural excellence

His journey inspires not only aspiring bodybuilders but also enthusiasts worldwide, showcasing that true greatness is not confined to synthetic shortcuts (like synthol injections).

As we delve into the world of the biggest and best natural bodybuilders, Kiyoshi Moody stands tall as the epitome of unrivaled achievement in the pursuit of sculpted, authentic greatness.

How Big Can Natural Bodybuilders Get?

The pursuit of the perfect physique often leads to the question: How big can natural bodybuilders really get

In a world where performance-enhancing substances cast a shadow of doubt, these athletes redefine the limits of raw, unassisted muscle development.

Natural bodybuilders, fueled by discipline and rigorous training, showcase remarkable physiques. While they may not attain the extreme mass seen in some enhanced bodybuilders, their achievements are nothing short of awe-inspiring.

Achieving an impressive physique naturally involves meticulous attention to diet, training, and recovery. These athletes prioritize building lean muscle, emphasizing symmetry and definition.

Typically, natural bodybuilders can reach a muscular development that aligns with their genetic potential. Factors like genetics, age, and training consistency play pivotal roles in determining one’s ultimate size.

The emphasis for naturals is on quality over sheer quantity, sculpting aesthetically pleasing bodies that reflect dedication rather than relying on shortcuts. The journey of natural bodybuilding is a testament to the power of unwavering commitment.

As we explore the realm of the biggest and best natural bodybuilders, it becomes evident that their achievements transcend the limitations often associated with the question of size, proving that true greatness lies in the harmony of strength, aesthetics, and authenticity.

What does ‘Natural’ mean?

The term natural is the polar opposite of the term enhanced. Natural or natty refers to someone who is not using any PEDs or products listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency. These include:

  • Steroids
  • Hormones
  • Certain Stimulants
  • Certain Fat Loss agents

When we label an athlete as “natural” or “natty,” we affirm that they refrain from utilizing any substances listed by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).

This categorical exclusion covers a spectrum of potentially performance-altering agents, including steroids, hormones, certain stimulants, and specific fat loss agents.

For these athletes, the canvas of their physique is painted with the hues of disciplined training, meticulous nutrition, and an unyielding spirit

By steering clear of substances that alter the body’s natural equilibrium, they embark on a journey where authenticity is the brushstroke that defines their physical artistry.

How do they Test if someone is Natty?

WADA has some interesting methods of testing, however, what you have to remember is that bodybuilding is not regulated by WADA.

WADA has no jurisdiction over bodybuilding. That said, there are a few methods in which WADA can do testing:

  • The athlete will choose a urine sample collection vessel from a selection made available by the doping control personnel
  • If a blood sample is collected, the athlete will choose a blood collection kit from a selection made available by the doping control personnel

Then, the athleteโ€™s sealed sample is secured and sent to a WADA-accredited laboratory. A blood sample collected as part of the ABP program may be analyzed by a WADA-approved laboratory.

The laboratory copy of the DCF that accompanies the sample is anonymized, indicating only the sample bottle number, sport, and the athleteโ€™s gender.

How To Know if Someone is Using Steroids?

So, your buddy or boyfriend has suddenly gotten really strong or jacked and you suspect they might be using the juice.

What are the signs to look out for? Well, there are quite a few:

  • Most Steroid users will use an injectable version. This means they might have bruises or swollen areas around their body, especially the shoulders and buttocks.
  • Because Steroids will all typically increase muscle protein synthesis and recovery, users have an amazing ability to gain muscle mass rapidly while also recovering faster than their natural peers.
  • Steroid users might experience hair loss on the head, but see an increase in bodily hair.
  • If you are close enough to the user, you might see a huge increase in libido.
  • Contrary to popular belief, roid rage isn’t really a thing. However, backnea is not. Users will often experience acne breakouts.

The world of natural bodybuilding beckons us to celebrate the champions who prove that, in the pursuit of greatness, authenticity will always stand tall.

FAQs

Is natural bodybuilding possible?

It depends on your description of the word “possible”. Without the advantage of things like androgens and hormones you are limited greatly by the amount of muscle mass your can build and retain. Therefor, it is possible, but there’s a reason no one really follows it.

Do natural bodybuilders live longer?

Without a doubt. Steroids (and the size that comes with them) will dramatically shorten your life and increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, and even diabetes.

Not one of these dudes is natty. Not even close. Even if you were a genetic freak you could not achieve that amount of muscle naturally.

this article is must be a joke. you’re listing people as natural because they have no clear signs of steroid usage, seriously?

the clear signs such as gyno are usually down to poor management of estrogen levels, to which bodybuilders of this degree are aware of and avoid. the other side effects such as balding are genetical.

using the same logic as you’ve applied in this article, bodybuilders like jay cutler and flex lewis must also be natural.

sadik (2012-2016), substantial amount of muscle gained during this period as seen from his on stage shots. more muscle with a leaner & much drier physique in the space of 4 years, hmm… yeah, must be genetics. smh. he went from looking natural to unnatural.

jeremy buendia (2012-2016), same story as sadik.

i can’t speak for everyone on the list, but the fact i can so easily pick apart 2 means it’s hard to see reason to anything you’ve written.

Are pro-hormones considered natural? Because at least one of these guys has admitted to using them, and he’s not the biggest guy on your list. Chris Jones is almost certainly natural, but some of these other guys? C’mon.

Iโ€™m a โ€œretiredโ€ pro lifetime natural BB. From looking at the pictures I can see how many would remain skeptical of their โ€œnattinessโ€. I can honestly tell you Iโ€™ve been at this since 1990 naturally. No steroids or GH EVER. Iโ€™ve competed in several different organizations both drug tested and non-drug tested. If anybody wants to reach out to me, please do so.

These guys are about as “natural” as Pamela Anderson’s chest.
They’re trying to sell these snake-oil “supplements” that don’t work– just like all the products that sponsor the IFBB contests.
