Albert, Frederick J. EAST GREENBUSH Frederick J. Albert, 83 of East Greenbush, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021, at St Peter's Hospital. Frederick was born in Albany, the son of the late Frederick Albert and Marion (Shea) Hennessey and stepmother Mildred Albert He graduated from Columbia High School in 1957, and served in the Marine Corps reserves from 1956 to 1962. Fred was employed by New York State Dept. of Motor Vehicles for 38 years where he worked in the print shop and enjoyed his chauffeur job for three commissioners, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed his part-time job at the Patroon Inn in East Greenbush and loved the N.Y. Mets, N.Y. Giants and traveling to Las Vegas, Cape Cod and going on cruises. Fred was a 50-year member of the Elks Club. Survivors include his beloved wife of 63 years, Joyce (Shuhart) Albert; daughters, Linda (Patrick) Emery, and Kim (Kevin) Lynch; brother William (Susan) Albert; and sister-in-law Gail Hennessey. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and several cousins. He was predeceased by stepbrother, James Hennessey. Fred cherished his friends and family dearly. Relatives and friends are invited to his calling hours on Saturday from 9 - 11 a.m. at the Wm. J. Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpke., Rensselaer followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. Burial will be in the Horizon View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Frederick's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mrs. Albert, Linda & Kim, I'm so sorry for your loss. Mr. Albert was and will always be the Mayor of New Kirk Rd. His sense of humor and gregarious personality has left a mark on this world. He will be greatly missed.

Joyce, very sorry to hear about Fred. My condolences to you and your family. He was a great conversationalist and a friendly face no matter when you saw him. I am glad the two of you had a long retirement together.
