Freaky is a slasher film meets Freaky Friday. An ancient dagger causes a psychotic serial killer to switch bodies with a teenage girl. They only have 24 hours before their switch becomes permanent. The Freaky trailer shows that classic body switch hijinx will likely ensue, along with a showdown between Netwon and Vaughn.
While she's still relatively new to the scene, Newton has already added some impressive credits to her resume. Vaughn, of course, is a veteran comedy actor at this point. Vince Vaughn as Blissfield Butcher — Vaughn's Blissfield Butcher is a serial killer who has gained notority in his community, but has never been caught. He sets his sights on Newton's Millie as his next target. Vaughn is more known for big-budget comedies, such as Wedding Crashers and Old School. He previously dipped his toes in the horror genre when he portrayed Norman Bates in the Psycho remake.
Kathryn Newton as Millie Kessler — Newton portrays high school senior Millie Kessler, who is also Blissfield Butcher's newest target. She had leading roles in Blockers and Detective Pikachu. Newton also appeared as Reese Witherspoon's daughter in Big Little Lies.
Katie Finneran as Paula Kessler — Paula is Millie's mother. Finneran has previously appeared in the hit Netflix show Bloodline and the TV show Why Women Kill.
Celeste O'Connor as Nyla — Nyla is Millie's friend. She helps Millie when she's trapped inside Butcher's body. O'Connor appeared in Wetlands and can be seen in a small role in the upcoming Ghostbusters: Afterlife.
Alan Ruck as Mr. Fletcher — Alan Ruck plays Millie's woodshop teacher. Ruck is known for roles in iconic movies such as Twister and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. He also had a prominent role as Connor Roy in the hit HBO show, Succession.
Misha Osherovich as Josh — Josh is another friend of Millie's who also helps her when she's trapped in Butcher's body. Osherovich has appeared in The Goldfinch and the horror series NOS4A2.
Uriah Shelton as Booker — Booker is a classmate of Millie's who she has a crush on. Shelton has appeared in Girl Meets World and Looking for Alaska.
