40 helpful votes Arriving at Terminal 2 at 18.00 and wishing to catch a train to Karlsruhe. I believe the train leaves from Terminal 1. How easy is it to get between the terminals and how do I do it? There are trains at 18.52 and 19.51. I assume catching the later train wouldn't be a problem but is there are chance of catching the earlier one?
There is a chance for the earlier one indeed (should not be a problem with hand luggage only, but very tight with checked-in luggage). I would use the bus, not the SkyLine train, as the bus stop at Terminal 1 is directly at the escalator to the walkway which leads to the long-distance train station.

I prefer to take the SkyTrain as it can easily take 10 minutes before the next bus departs and the drive to Terminal 1 takes considerably longer than the SkyTrain.
To me the extra 200 meter of walking with the SkyTrain is well worth it.
