Frank King Jr was born January 12, 1934 and entered into eternal rest on November 7, 2015. He was the second eldest child born to Frank King Sr. and Lorena DeVoe King.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank King, Sr. and Lorena D. King Grover, two brothers (James Janhretta and Moses), one sister (Mary King), and one grandson, (Jamel).

Frank received his early education at St Anthony Catholic School in Savannah Ga and was a 1952 graduate of his beloved Woodsville High School.  Frank was employed at Sugary Finery for 15 years, and then later joined the Merchant Seaman where he worked for over seven years.  He continued work at John Manville also known as Owen Corning where he retired.

He previously joined in marriage with Elizabeth King and to this union five (5) children were born. 

Frank having given his life to Christ, faithfully attended Resurrection of Our Lord Catholics Church where he served in the Holy Name Society.  Frank held various positions as a member of this ministry. 

He was an active member of the Woodsville-Tompkins Alumni Association where he served in various capacities to include President and Treasurer of the class. He and his wife enjoyed the fellowship with members of the association often attending functions that included dancing, picnics, and traveling.

Frank was a loving and devoted husband and was married to Lucille King for 33 years.  She was affectionately known as “Honey”

Frank leaves to cherish his memories a devoted wife of thirty three years Lucille King, his children: Janet Deloach (Lawrence), Frank King III (Gail), Vincent King (Terry), Lorena Michelle Holt, Veronica Jackson (Matthew), Kevin Elleby (Rhonda), Karen Elleby, Tonya Elleby, Erica King, DeShawn King, one aunt, Ethel King, one niece he raised Selanthia King; 19 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, 3 God-children Jamari Thorpe, Tawana Bostick, Tyreka Hippard; 3 God-sisters Betty Moore, Ernestine Jones, Elise Lewis,  a special cousin Suzette Jordan and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 13, 2015 at Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, 112 Fell St. Father Robert E. Chaney, Rector/Homilist.
