Four Seasons Hotel Prague

Located on a quiet cobblestone street right off the main tourist drag, this luxury property is composed of four adjoining buildings, each in a different architectural style. The main structure is the most contemporary of all, with a plain facade made of blocks of stone in different brown hues, and a large frosted glass roof covering the entrance. The other three buildings are ornate historic structures built in Classical, Renaissance and late-Baroque styles, and rooms have decor elements from the artistic movement of the building in which they are located. 

The lobby is located in the main building, and is decorated in an elegant classic style with thick carpets in red, gray, and ivory hues, moss-green velvet chairs, and beautiful antique-style furniture. Ceiling moldings and delicate Bohemia crystal chandeliers add charm and character. The lobby lounge is decorated in a similar but cozier style, with a fireplace, warm lighting, marble and wood finishes, and comfy seating. CottoCrudo Restaurant breaks with the classic feel that dominates the property, and has a stylish contemporary design with clean lines, modern metallic ceiling lamps, and an earth palette with red accents.

The Four Seasons is located on a busy street on the western edge of the Old Town. The rear of the property overlooks picturesque Vltava River, and the historic Charles Bridge is just a block away. The area is generally busy with tourists and locals, and there are plenty or restaurants, cafes, and shops within a couple of blocks. The Old Town Square, home to the famous Astronomical Clock, is just a five-minute walk away, while Wenceslas Square is about 10 minutes from the hotel. The Prague Castle can be reached on foot in about 15 minutes or 10 minutes by metro. The Staromestska metro, tram, and bus stops are half a block away, and the airport is about a half-hour drive from the hotel.

The hotel has 157 rooms spread out over four buildings. All rooms have classic touches such as Bohemia crystal chandeliers and thick carpets, but decor style varies depending on building and room type. Modern, Superior, and Deluxe Rooms have stylish, elegant decor with a black-and-white color scheme, silver- and white-striped wallpaper, and black wooden furniture and chairs. Turquoise accent cushions and potted plants add some color. Units in the Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical sections incorporate elements from their respective buildings' artistic styles into the rooms, with elements such as wall moldings or wallpaper with delicate prints, blue, or beige palettes, and a few pieces of antique-style furniture. Marble bathrooms are similar in all units, and feature glass showers, separate soaking tubs, terry robes, and high-end toiletries. 

Rooms and suites are equipped with upscale amenities including large flat-screen TVs, DVD players, iPod docks, and coffeemakers. Minibars are stocked with soft drinks, juices, and water, as well as a wide array of alcoholic drinks, international snacks, and a few traditional Czech treats. Suites come in different sizes, layouts and styles, including duplex units, rooms with four-poster beds, and a few with separate powder rooms. All suites have small flat-screen TVs in the bathrooms. All units have appealing views, and the Premier River Rooms  have panoramic views of the Prague Castle and the river. 

The Four Seasons also offers a number of in-room perks for kids, including child-size robes, kids’ toiletries, toys, and bedtime treats such as cookies. Children under 18 stay free when sharing a room with an adult, and kids under five eat free. 

CottoCrudo is the hotel’s only restaurant, located adjacent to the main building and offering riverside seating. It serves excellent Italian cuisine, and has a cold-food bar with fresh mozzarella, breads, and cold meats. The bar has a wonderful drinks menu that includes renowned wines and signature cocktails. The 24-hour fitness center is small and underground, but offers a decent array of machines for those looking to get a full workout. Additionally, Ava Spa offers a menu of traditional Czech-inspired thermal baths, as well as five treatment rooms, an indoor vitality pool, and sauna and steam rooms. The property is more popular with couples and families than with business travelers, but the hotel features lots of event space -- including a gigantic ballroom -- plus a business center. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property, but valet parking is an extra fee. Services such as town cars with drivers and babysitters are also available.
