Anna Smith BBC.com Russell Brand is, for once, well cast in the role of vague, vain singer Aldous, who's also the object of obsession for a waiter and aspiring musician in the Hawaiian resort. Rated: 4/5 Jan 24, 2020 Full Review Ben Kenigsberg Time Out Rated: 3/5 Nov 17, 2011 Full Review Peter Bradshaw Guardian Judd Apatow's comedies are always watchable and sometimes hilarious, but with the latest to emerge under his aegis, I have to admit it is getting harder to defend them against the charge of misogyny. Rated: 2/5 Oct 18, 2008 Full Review Brian Eggert Deep Focus Review Perfectly light and quite often wildly funny, this is a sincere comedy about growing up and becoming an individual without relying on a crutch for support. Rated: 3.5/4 Sep 6, 2023 Full Review Sean Axmaker Stream on Demand This is one of the better Apatow factory films that uses juvenile humor to explore adult issues like sex and commitment and relationships. Comedy is pain plus punchlines, and Peter’s emotional pain of breakup and heartbreak is very funny at times ... Massoud H I give it three stars because I liked the actors. I just didn’t like most of what they were saying and doing. But I do understand why so many people talk about this movie- It wasn’t unpleasant, and there was quite a lot of nudity and sex jokes. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/30/24 Full Review alan g Horrible movie. Any movie with Russel Brand is to be avoider at all costs. Who ever thought he could act? Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review donnie m i LOVE this movie and Mila Kunis is beautiful and a great actress Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/12/24 Full Review Test T I watched this on DVD recently after watching Get Him To The Greek which some have suggested is this film's sequel. I really loved Russel Brand as Aldous in GHTTG, so I was looking forward to seeing him again in this. He is really good in this too, but he's much less extreme. This is a good film, but it's tame compared to GHTTG, which I think is much more enjoyable. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/01/24 Full Review Diana K It was a sleeper that I recommended many times. Kudos to Jason Segal for this hilarious movie. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 02/12/24 Full Review Cooper S Very funny and has a cute ending.
