Reviews Summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Forest Hills Hotel, while praised for its cleanliness and spacious rooms, often leaves guests wanting more due to its inconvenient location far from beaches and shops, which requires a car for access. The ambiance is frequently described as uninviting, with worn-out furnishings detracting from the experience. Although the staff generally receives compliments for their friendly nature, instances of unprofessionalism have marred the service reputation.
The hotel offers appreciated amenities like a gym and pool, but they are in need of an update. Ultimately, many visitors feel the hotel does not provide sufficient value, pointing to overpriced, underwhelming offerings.

Detailed Reviews
Seasons needs to invest in these properties or just sell them on. In a hot country which seems to be getting hotter A/C really is a must (or at least an option). It can be done as some private apartments have it and would improve the holiday experience. Equipment in the apartment needs updating as a small under-counter fridge for 6 people is really not sufficient for self catering and provision of a proper oven would also be useful. The bed settee is also a bit of a joke and looks as if it has been there for years, the cover is all ripped and falling to bits. Mattresses in the beds are hard and need upgrading. Key card entry to the apartment also needs looking at as ours failed on two occasions the second being on the final night at 11pm. No reception after 5:30 but luckily Joey in the pool bar was able to assist in getting us access. I think also if the resort had been full it would have been difficult to sit around the pool area as there are only about 20 or so loungers and the pool is quite small. Didn't check out the jacuzzi or gym as it was right at the top of the building (a lot of steps in 35 degree heat.

3 golden girls had a fantastic week in early June this year. The views are spectacular & the weather was perfect. We just completely chilled out on the great balcony & had a number of meals & drinks in the cafe bar. Joey is an excellent host as well as a brilliant cook. His partner Suzie has a fantastic range of holistic treatments to enjoy in a chilled out treatment room. All the staff were so helpful..... there are lots of stairs but there is help with luggage needed!
Wifi is patchy at the moment in the apartments but I understand this is being sorted.
We've booked again for next year!!

Had a lovely rest and recuperate break, in a well provisioned self catering establishment. There were nonetheless a few challenges
WiFi was absolutely hopeless.
Finding and arriving at the property is a bit of a nightmare. Google Satnav doesnt work, and the resort directions are poor, so recommend careful planning to arrive in daylight.
Avoid accommodation that has smoking neighbours, because the balconies are all very close together, and this negatively impacted our enjoyment of this facility.

We are regular visitors to Estepona and cant rate Seasons at Forest Hills highly enough.
The views from the accommodation are amazing as you can see all of Estepona, Gibraltar and even Africa on a clear day.
Debs and all her team make us most welcome and nothing is too much trouble.
Through her local contacts Kirsty was able to book my wife a Pilates class right on the beach as we were struggling to find anything suitable.
Will definitely be back later in the year.

An incredible week of vacation to take in the Spanish sun with great facilities as well as such friendly and helpful staff.
The amazing views from the apartment’s balcony were cherished daily. We swam in the luminous blue pool as often as we could and bathed under the sun looking up at the unique white architecture of the hotel. Excellent location away from the busyness, but good for a number of day excursions to a number of awesome places!
Thank you Forest Hills!

Wonderful landscape, wonderful people.
Everything is thought so that you spend a very peaceful time and remain at a few minutes drive from the beaches, the shops and the restaurants. From there you can also visit many places such as Málaga, Ronda or Gibraltar…

Looks great place but pool small and not many loungers and few have no shade so not usable in full sun. And no loungers on patios.
Not enough plates/ utensils in kitchen
No WiFi in rooms in 2023 isn’t really on when everything needs booked online.
Rooms good but no air con means lounge stifling.
Truly terrible sofa bed. Sleeps 4 but wouldn’t recommend doing so if need sofa bed.
Not a place for kids or teens either.

We can't wait to return to the magic that is Forest Hills. The team should be incredibly proud of the service they provide - Debbie, Joey, Jessie, Sarah and Susie were all so welcoming and made us feel part of the Forest Hills family - nothing was too much trouble. The whole site was immaculate and gets 10 out of 10 for cleanliness. Our apartment exceeded our expectations, it was large, bright, clean and had every facility we needed including 2 magnificent balconies. Unfortunately, our trip was just a short one (4 days) so we didn't have enough time to enjoy all of the facilities, (the gym, games room, wellness and therapy etc).
During our stay we were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to enjoy the magnificent views whilst sat by the pool being looked after by Joey, who kept us topped up with fab food and drinks. Sarah looked after us in reception and provided us with details of the local area so that we knew the best places to visit (thanks Sarah).
Yes, there are a lot of stairs and no lift and you ideally need a car to get around, (taxis are available though) but we knew that before we booked and it was worth it to be staying in such a magical setting. Our visit this time was myself, my 2 daughters and a friend but we are already making plans to return with our husbands for a longer stay. This was our first visit but it definitely won't be our last.

Yes it’s a bit of a problem. Depends how wealthy you are. If you’re happy spending 20Euros one way to the nearest town for beach/restaurant etc and then similar price on the way back to the hotel then you’ll be fine.
Also depends on what you like to do in the day. If you’re happy self catering and just spending the day by the pool and a few drinks in the bar of an evening then the only time you’ll need a taxi is upon arrival and departure.
Sorry to take so very long to reply. I didn't see your question.
I don't know the answer I'm afraid. I'm not a fitness centre kind of guy. But you could ask them directly.
Really did like this place though for the reasons I spelled out in my review.
All the best.
