Does that mean it's an omnivore? Or just a vampiric herbivore?
It's omnivorous behavior, but nature is hardly neatly separated between herbivore and omnivore. Many herbivores eat bugs, and some like deer will kill and eat birds for specific nutrients if they're missing in other parts of their diet. Similar to how some dogs will eat grass when dealing with nutrient deficiencies. Blood might have missing nutrients that the plants in the environment are low in.

I'm glad you at least seem to respect non-binary and trans people, but that's literally admitting there are more than two genders. In any case, it's not what you say that's the problem, but seeing a No Man's Sky about it's wacky fauna and inmediately thinking about gender discussion. That level of obssession is not healthy for anyone.
