Receive a code for two-factor authentication on Facebook

Facebook’s Code Generator will be discontinued soon. You may no longer have access to this product. Make sure you have another two-factor authentication method set up, so you don’t lose access to your account. There are several ways to receive a security code. Learn more about how to get a code for two-factor authentication.

If you turned on two-factor authentication, you need to generate and enter a special login code when you log in.

Steps to receive a code for two-factor authentication:

1. Open the Facebook app and tap the menu icon.
2. Tap Settings & privacy.
3. Tap Code Generator.
4. Use the code to log into Facebook.
