CASES of COVID-19 have fallen in Fife for the second week in a row.

Statistics from Public Health Scotland show the virus hotspots in the Kingdom between July 10 and 16.

In this time, there were 876 cases – 339 less than the previous week – which resulted in a seven day positive rate of 234.1 cases per 100,000 population.

In West Fife,t wo areas fell into the lowest category, with between zero and two cases.

These were Kelty West and Dunfermline Brucefield, the seven-day rate is not presented to help protect patient confidentiality.

In the 400-799 cases per 100,000 population category were Dunfermline Central (17), Dalgety Bay West and Hillend (12), Inverkeithing East (13), and North Queensferry and Inverkeithing West (13).

With 200-399 cases per 100,000 were, Dunfermline Abbyview South (11), Dunfermline Bellyeoman and Townhill (15), Oakley, Comrie, and Blairhall (12), Valleyfield, Culross and Torryburn (11), Cairneyhill and Crombie (8), Dalgety Bay East (7), Aberdour and Auchtertool (10), Dunfermline Garvock Hill (8), Rosyth East (8), Dunfermline Milesmark and Wellwood (9), Hill of Beath and Kingseat (8), Crossford, Charlestown and Limekilns (10), Dalgety Bay Central (10), Dunfermline Duloch South (9), Dunfermline Pitcorthie East (8), Dunfermline Baldridgeburn (8), Dunfeermline Abbeyview North (8), Dunfermline Touch and Woodmill (6), and Rosyth South (8).

In the lowest category, with between 100 and 199 cases were, Dunfermline Headwell (9), Kincardine (6), Rosyth Central (6), Crossgates and Halbeath (6), Rosyth North (5), Saline and Gowkhall (6), Dunfermline Duloch North and Lynebank (10), Dunfermline Pitcorthie West (4), Kelty East (6), and Dunfermline Masterton (4).
