About
Open Saturdays from 10am to 5pm, April through November. Each Saturday Lane County's favorite artisans, chefs and musicians bring their creations to Saturday Market, Eugene's weekly open-air Marketplace, creating a vibrant event that nurtures local commerce and community. Founded in May of 1970, Eugene's Saturday Market is Oregon's original Saturday Market, and the oldest weekly open-air crafts festival in the United States. Wander among the 200 booths filled with fine handcrafts, always sold by the artisans themselves. The International Food Court features fifteen food booths serving a wide array of foods prepared fresh on site, for every meal of the day. The Market Stage showcases local and regional musicians, performing live all day long. Two nearby parking structures provide plenty of free parking, and the area is fully wheelchair accessible. Holiday Market is open from November 17th through December 24th at the Lane Events Center located at 13th and Jefferson in Eugene.

I always like going to a Saturday market to see what is growing in the areas that I visit. So if you go for that it is worth it always. I didn't think it was amazing however but it could be due to covid. The location is right in downtown Eugene and we had no trouble parking. There were also local crafters there but just nothing I was looking for at the time. There were produce booths but since I was traveling I didn't buy anything there except bread. I did buy some bread from a booth that was popular and it was a delicious sour dough bread, and I bought a berry scone and a berry almond pastry from them both delicious! Wish I would have bought more there. I think it probably matters of course what they are growing there. There was an area across the street with a lot of locals that had just set up booths probably not a part of the market and I didn't feel safe with covid going there as I didn't feel they were complying with social distancing. I would say check the market out and if you live there it probably changes with the seasons or if visiting just see what you think as I like to support local markets with crafts when I am traveling.

Only lived in Oregon for 2 years so we have only been to the Saturday market a few times, but when we have gone it has been fun and filled with many things we would not have seen any place else. Fun, Oh and good food too!

When I need cheering up, a lovely hand crafted gift, great food (lots of choices), fresh vegetables/fresh flowers, or local entertainment, I head down to Eugene's Saturday Market. Artisans are there to talk about their crafts, people are happy. People of all ages are having fun. Across the street the hippies take over with drums and sidewalk blanket sales - everything from pot pipes to leather clothing. Come experience Eugene's unique culture.

Amusing with local people, local products, arts & crafts. All people from the local farms have their stalls in the downtown city ground and parks. Folk songs, bands are there to enjoy. Very calm, serene city gets life on every Saturday Market. Children, young & adults do enjoy with buying, eating & music.

Beautiful outdoor setting in the downtown park blocks where a family or individual can spend an entire day enjoying the joyful sounds, smells, tastes and and visual delights and meeting the folks who make it happen every weekend April into November. The Eugene Saturday Market is the longest running outdoor, handmade market in the country.

Ram has beautiful rings made from silver spoons and forks with stones on them that are beautiful and unique. My son had a Mother's ring made for me and my daughter got a ring when she came home for a visit that I see in her instagram pictures :-)

I've attended the market on both of my visits to Eugene and it will always be a place I go when out that way. It's a free event, good people watching, interesting booths, different foods, and organic fruits and veggies. We had so much fun walking around and chatting about the art, jewelry, and entertainers that were there. My wife and niece both got henna tattoos done for $10 each and they lasted for about 2 weeks. My aunt bought homemade soaps which smelled great and were also herbal. The selection of fresh produce is fantastic! Watch out for some price variances. They often have some alcohol tastings at the end of the lane where the produce is. We got to try the Cider so that was an unexpected delight. There is a lot of over-priced tie-dye to be purchased. It really is such an inspirational place to walk around! Musicians playing (a drum circle is usually happening on the corner where the jail is), dancers w/ hula hoops, and the food court although it is packed has so much variety and ethnic foods to try! We parked at a garage right downtown which is free during the market.

This market is pure joy! Lots of smiles, totally upbeat, trendy, friendly, & jam-packed with creativity. Over 200 artisans with unique handicrafts – readily welcome you into their artsy booths, & many love to talk. Enticing food booths beckon. Enthusiastic musicians perform throughout the day at the central Market Stage, which may include everything from internationally famous guitarists to a local kids’ dance group. Talented performers also entertain on street corners, & give impromptu concerts on the lawn. The original art for sale is amazing – from feline flower vases, to recycled-can night-lights, skull jewelry, teapot wind chimes, beaded flower barrettes, spider-web art, sparkly fairy tattoos, and so much more! Most vendors are as colorful as their art! Walk down one block, and savor the Lane County Farmers’ Market – brimming with flower bouquets, fresh organic produce heaped in artful arrangements, gourmet cheeses, honey, and homemade breads. Makes you want to click your heels, and jump for joy! Parking is best in the multi-story garage just a few blocks away, and is free all day Saturday. Check the Eugene Saturday Market website for latest updates and scheduled performances. Don’t miss this market for an exhilarating boost!
