Etrigan respect thread - Gen. Discussion - Comic Vine
Before Etrigan's birth, hell had three rulers Lucifer, Beelzebub, and Belial(oldest son of Trigon). Belial gave birth to three sons -- Etrigan, Merlin, and Scapegoat. His firstborn was The Demon, birthed by the demonic serpent woman, Ran va Da'ath. Prophecy was spoken through Hell that it was this firstborn son, Etrigan, who would end up being Hell's undoing. So Belial then fathered Merlin with the intent of having him be Etrigan's foil and they battle through out the centuries and Eventually Etrigan does become King of Hell for a time but this thread will focus on his accomplishments rather than his history.
Etrigan is a character that for the vast majority deals with magical creatures and so he isn't the typical hero or villain that has a vast number of speed, strength and punching durability feats but he does have a few. Let's look into them

Speed
Speed is something that his creator Jack Kirby mentions often in Etrigan's firt series titled The Demon from 1972. Here are a few I collected.
The attackers are faster than the humans can see or even hear.
But Etrigan is so fast that they can't manage to hit him and even using their incredible speed and perception.
He blitzes guards from near point blank rangeWhile he is bulletproof, Here he manages to avoid getting shot.Jack Kirby writes that Etrigan is more agile than any mortal creatureEtrigan acts with lightning speedEtrigan rushes the 2 angels that the Presence sent to rule hellSuperman thinks to himself that Etrigan is fast
Magic
As a character who is written in the mystical and paranormal part of DC he is usually performing some type of magic whether it be his hell fire or casting spells. Here are a few.
Breaks through the most powerful Green Lantern's defense shieldPlacing a spell on technologyIn this scan he had his arms and legs ripped off and he attached someone elses limbs to himself. This also serves as a regen feat.This time his magical blast breaks through Merlins magic shieldIn this scan he opens a magical portal to another dimension to BFR Klarion the with boy. This would be the first of 3 times Etrigan magically BFR's Klarion.He explains he can smell evilEtrigan cast's a spell to summon AsmodonHere he uses a counter spell against Klarion's magicHere he uses a magical shield. Also serves as a durability feat since he takes Klarions magical blastHere he uses his hell fire on Superman His hell fire manages to burn the 2 angels the Presence sent to rule hellMagically commands a spirit to enter a human bodyHere he makes the dead riseEtrigan manages to hurt the Phantom Stranger though it wasn't a serious injuryJack Kirby says he is a Master of elements and he makes a magical whirlwindHe sends Superman back in timeshoots magical blasts from his hands. This is one he does very often.Here he stalemates Merlins magical blastHere he takes a humans soulHere Etrigan reveals that the woman who his father Belial had a child with was just a goat that Etrigan had turned into a woman to seduce his father
Durability
Etrigan is very durable and has some really good feats but I will have 2 sections with durability feats because I want to showcase some of his fights and not crop them into seperate feats lists. With that said here are a couple durability feats.
Belial tried to teach Etrigan discipline as a child by torturing him but as it turns out, Etrigan enjoys painThis is just one of many times he gets shot. Usually he laughs uncontrollably when they shoot himKlarion BFR's Etrigan and a nuke and while we don't see the explosion, Phantom Stranger confirms that the nuke did explode on EtriganHere is Lobo talking about Etrigan surviving the NukeHere he is nearly split in half and he says it is no big dealIn this instance he isn't being himself and he gets into it with Wonder Woman who kicks him in the crotch and in the chest and Etrigan laughs and it seems to turn him onIn a different issue here he takes a punch from Wonder Woman and she tries trapping him by wrapping a car around him which obviously doesnt work and he gets out of it immediately Etrigan takes another punch from Wonder Woman here and quickly recovers This time The Spectre merged with Eclipso and Etrigan takes a back hand from himIn the same fight After clawing Eclipso Spectre's face off he takes a blast that sends him into the airIn this one, Etrigan Dr. Fate and Zatanna all take a magical blast from Eclipso Spectre.Eclipso manages to posses Klarion this time in an unrelated issue to the above scans. Here Etrigan takes quite a few blasts

Etrigan using his claws to cut through Supermans abdomen
Etrigan stalemating Lobo which is impressive. They've fought about 4 times by my count and have stalemated every time.
I saw 2 scans of it in a Superman respect thread a few days ago but I haven't read it. It's been about 4 months since I've read any comic books so I'm not up to date.
Each The Brave and The Bold story can be concidered as a non-canon story. But I think that the batman used in this serie is the same as the Golden age Batman.

And I didn't say The Brave and The Bold is not canon, I juste sayd that each story can be read on it's own. The concept of the Brave and The Bold is to team-up 2 or more DC heroes and make them have a single issue adventure.
