The power plant, which will be sited at Okija in Anambra State, has been structured in such a way that the first phase, which will give an output of 465Mw and will commence operation in 2018. Its Assistant General Manager (AGM), Group Business Development, Mr. Simeon Tor-Agbidye, told The Nation that the firm is tidying up arrangement for gas supply to the power plant from the East-West gas pipeline also known as the Obiafu/Obrikom – Oben (OB3) gas pipeline. The gas will be taken from the eastern part of the pipeline. Another reason we can't "chest beat" with this building is because the financiers, i.e the people who financially funded the construction of this building are actually Yorubas. (GT Bank) I am guessing you didn't know that. Nestoil took facility (loan) From Gtbank in excess of 2 billion naira to fund this project. Until the loan is fully offset, this building by Law belongs to Gtbank. That's how Legal mortgages work in Nigeria and any part of the world. How will Gtbank make their money? The floors are going to be rented out, and as soon as rents are paid, Gtbank collects principal and interest. If Netsoil can't pay back, the matter gets to Amcon. AMCON is the bail out bank Nice but the rent they're asking for may not really be sustainable cos of the recession. Just like Heritage place on Alfred Rewane, lots of vacant floor spaces to let. Rent per Sam could be as high as $900. $900*375 * floor space. 231m2 to 810m2 It means you'll be spending between 30-50m per annum to rent office space in Nestoil building. It was even solely (100%) funded by them. I am guessing you didn't know that. And as you might know, GT Bank belongs to the Ooduas. The building is still Yoruba owned.
