The granddaughter and great-granddaughter of the author Ernest Hemingway are the new stars of a Mother's Day-themed ad for the luxury fashion brand in which they heap praise on one another, while also sharing a number of touching memories from 25-year-old Langley’s childhood.
Mariel, 53, and her daughter are featured in the new video frolicking near a cabin, shooting arrows in the woods and jumping on a trampoline, while exchanging kind words about each other in the voice over, expanding on Langley's statement to the theme of the ad campaign: 'My mom was my first coach.'

Mariel, who has released two memoirs in recent years detailing the awful history of suicide, abuse and alcoholism that has spanned several generations in her famous family, previously claimed that she had made it her life's mission to overcome the 'Hemingway curse'.

In the new ad, both mother and daughter open by talking about the 'love for nature' that Mariel has tried to instill in Langley, which she says 'influences how I go about my life and my art'.
Langley goes on to gush about her mother, stating: 'Of course my mom's brave.'
'She told me I was somewhat magical in my own ways,' she adds. 'And I still hold that with me.'
'Empowering your child is such an important thing to do, I wanted her to know that she was seen,' explains Mariel.

'My mom gave me a Coach bag,' Langley remembers. 'My sister and I fought over it. Dree probably took more of it, but now I have it, and I still have it. So, who's the winner?'
Both daughters are from Mariel's marriage to Stephen Crisman, which ended in 2008.
