Actor Nicolas Cage was dating makeup artist Erika Cage. Cage and Koike were first linked in April 2018 after they were spotted at lunch in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Cage was in the city to film his upcoming movie Primal. They were also seen together during an outing in Los Angeles in May.
Cage applied for a marriage license on Saturday March 23, 2019 in Clark County, Nevada, and he listed his new girlfriend, Erika Koike, as the second party. The pair legally wed in secret on Saturday in Las Vegas. The wedding came just less than a year after the pair began dating in April 2018.
According to court documents, Nicolas Cage filed for an annulment from wife Erika Koike on Wednesday March 27, 2019 in Las Vegas, just four days after they tied the knot. The court record shows that Cage requested a divorce if an annulment is not possible.
Cage was previously married to his first wife actress Patricia Arquette from April 1995 until their divorce in 2001. He married his second wife Lisa Marie Presley in August 2002 and they filed for divorce in November 2002. The divorce was finalised in 2004. According to court documents, Erika Koike filed papers on Friday, April 19, 2019, seeking spousal support following her brief marriage to Nicolas Cage.
The papers claim that Koike is entitled to the funds “given the length of the parties’ relationship.” Koike alleges that she endured “lost career opportunities” as a result of her loss of the relationship and damage to her reputation. In addition, the request also asks the court to take into account “the respective financial conditions of the parties” and the cost for her to regain financial independence. She is also seeking “reasonable attorney’s fees and costs of suit.”

According to court records, Erika Koike has been charged with DUI twice in Los Angeles, in 2008 and 2011. In 2011, she was over three times the legal limit after being pulled over. In both cases, she pled no contest and was sentenced to probation, community service and AA meetings. After her second DUI, she was actually sentenced to 5 days in jail, plus a very aggressive alcohol program that had her attending classes twice per week. Plus, an interlock device was installed on her car.
Erika Koike was also charged with one DUI in Las Vegas in 2016 and domestic violence against her then-husband in 2006. Regarding the 2016 DUI, Koike pled not guilty. She’s due back in court in June.
