19th August 2023 – (Hong Kong) Renowned Hong Kong actor and General Manager (Content Operations) of Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB), Eric Tsang, has recently made headlines after undergoing surgery in Taiwan to address an arterial aneurysm. Providing an update on his health condition, Tsang’s daughter, Bowie Tsang, confirmed through her manager that the surgery was successful, with the insertion of a supporting stent. However, the specific details regarding the location of the stent have not been disclosed.
In response to media inquiries, Bonnie Wong, Controller in the Corporate Communications Division at TVB, stated that Eric Tsang is currently on vacation.
Meanwhile, Tsang himself addressed the public today (19/08), revealing that he regularly undergoes health check-ups in Taiwan. He explained, “I undergo check-ups every year, and during my recent examination, it was discovered that one of my blood vessels had enlarged. The doctor advised immediate stent placement, which was successfully done yesterday. Thank you all for your concern. I will return to work very soon, so please rest assured.” With Tsang’s surgery now behind him, fans and colleagues eagerly await his speedy recovery and return to the entertainment industry.
