Eric Overmyer, born September 25, 1951 in Boulder, Colorado, USA, is a motion picture writer and producer and play-write. He joined the crew of Boardwalk Empire as a co-executive producer and writer for the fourth season. He co-wrote the episode "The North Star" with executive producer Howard Korder.
He is the co-creator of HBO series Treme with David Simon. He has also collaborated with Simon on the series Homicide: Life on the Street and The Wire. Overmyer also collaborated with Boardwalk Empire Consulting Producer Dennis Lehane on The Wire. Overmyer has also worked extensively on the Law & Order franchise and the series New Amsterdam and Close to Home.
