Emilia Isobel Euphemia Rose Clarke (born 23 October 1986) is a British actress known for her portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO series Game of Thrones (2011–2019). She has received four Primetime Emmy Award nominations for her role. Clarke began her acting career on stage and made her television debut with a guest appearance on the BBC One series Doctors in 2009. She has also appeared in the Broadway play Breakfast at Tiffany's and the West End production of The Seagull. In film, Clarke has played Sarah Connor in Terminator Genisys (2015), Qi'ra in Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018), and has starred in the romance films Me Before You (2016) and Last Christmas (2019). She will appear as G'iah in the Marvel Cinematic Universe miniseries Secret Invasion (2023).
