Where to watch Elf this holiday season

Christmas wouldn't be the same without it.

Does someone need a hug or a way to stream Elf? If it's the latter, we've found the solution.

Will Ferrell and Jon Favreau's perennial crowd-pleaser is always popular during the holiday season. In fact, we'd argue it's a Christmas classic along the lines of Love Actually, It's a Wonderful Life, and maybe even Die Hard (yes, we said it). For those like Love Actually director Richard Curtis who "can't watch [Elf] too many times," streaming service Max has the movie on demand.

Where to watch Elf: Max

The Warner Bros. Discovery-owned streaming service offers Elf as part of its library, but Max isn't the only place you can find it. Apple TV, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, and Vudu all offer the movie, too, although each requires a rental purchase.

And, of course, Elf isn't the only holiday movie on Max to stream — the platform includes A Christmas Story, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, and more.

So, no need to cram 11 cookies into your VCR — or touch your VCR again, for that matter. Stream Elf on Max, and check out more holiday coverage from EW here.
