Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- Miss Jenny Mac MLiverpool, UK0 contributionsSuch a wonderful and beautiful place to visit. We found this whilst visiting the area of Dunfermline for a family event and it was just stunning. - BraindamagedbaronNewark-on-Trent, UK489 contributionsVisiting Dunfermline and found this beautiful hidden gem. A gorgeous park with stunning short walks through woodland, past the old Abbey and church. A real pick-me-up and a breath of fresh air, literally.
The copious amounts of friendly squirrels are a pleasant surprise along the way.

Lots of time flying the hovercraft and great coaching to ensure you had the maximum fun.

Cannot think of any way it could be improved, exceeded our expectations.Written 19 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Catherine H4 contributionsThe driving experience was excellent - laps in a Formula One style racing car preceded by circuit familiarisation in an Alpine with an instructor. Without exception, every member of staff was really friendly, helpful and did their best to ensure a fun, worthwhile session.Written 15 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark39uk34 contributionsWell, what can I say? We had the absolute pleasure of visiting the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum for their open weekend. We came in our Motorhome on Friday morning and stayed until 4 on Sunday. What a fantastic weekend it was too. There was so much to see and do. A variety of vehicles ranging from the very old, right the way through to brand new. There was a great selection of stalls in the top shed with a fantastic selection of things to buy. The highlight for me was being able to see the collection out of hours and watch the owners test run some of the vehicles on the track. The organisers, members and volunteers are a big part of this very successful weekend. I honestly have never met such a friendly bunch of people. I can’t single out one person as they were all amazing, from the gift shop to the control centre. The people made this event perfect. I’m already planning for next year and will definitely visit sooner (especially now I’ve been talked into joining as a member). A huge thank you to everyone that made this weekend possibleWritten 21 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Iain AKirkcaldy, UK645 contributionsWe bought our tickets for the show at the ticket office in the Kingsgate Shopping Centre about five minutes away, but tickets were also available online. Lots of parking nearby on the night of the show and the stewards at the venue were efficient but unobtrusive. Our seat was on the lower level of the theatre with a great view of the stage. Decent leg room and comfortable seating, so not much to moan about. And the show “Get it on” was great fun.Written 20 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- geismomSinking Spring, PA1,815 contributionsWe have been frequent visitors of Dunfermline in the past, but this newest addition is certainly something to rave about. The views from the upstairs galleries can't be beat, and there are even spaces for one to sit and relax and just gaze out the windows.
I noted in one room that there is a hook mounted on the wall that holds portable chairs, so one can take a seat, pop it up, and sit and rest while reading through the various information displays. So clever!
The upstairs features a time line through history pertaining to Dunfermline, and a very clever question and answer board. Also, artifacts that have been collected over time that pertain to the city as well.
In addition, there is a section devoted to the many contributions of Andrew Carnegie who was born in Dunfermline, and who gave away his fortune for the betterment of others.
There is also a cafe, and a gift shop, in addition to the huge library section that we never even entered!
I can't recommend this enough. There is no charge for admittance, and this is a perfect place to explore if you are a history buff.Written 20 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Olive R2 contributionsExceptional show, incredibly talented kids limelight, always put on a good show. - Nigel DEdinburgh, UK394 contributionsTotal surprise. Busy location with ample car parking five minutes from the centre of Dunfermline. We noted dog walkers and mums with prams plus others out for a scenic stroll.
There were also joggers and two men waterskiing despite ice on parts of the lake which is the national training site and home of Waterski and Wakeboard, Scotland.
Good walk and busy cafe.Written 11 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Craig OWishaw, UK408 contributionsFife leisure park has lots to choose from.
I would highly recommend the Carlton bingo club for a night out.
Bingo is brilliant. You can go home with more money than you come in with…. Some nights £1000 houses!
Excellent food too, and it’s cheap. Same with the bar, cheap and there’s a lounge area which is like a pub so you don’t get shusshed by the bingo professionals.
Huge arcade too. You must be over 18 to join as a member.
You can play bingo in a tablet instead of books which makes it really easy tooWritten 25 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
