Everyone I’ve ever spent more than 1 hour with around the holiday season has probably seen this exact Donny and Marie Christmas special. This is the one where the Osmond Wives™️perform and the Osmond men sing a silly song about being able to cook better than women, Donny and his new bride Debbie have no chemistry at all, and the Osmonds play “Dance to the Music” on all their special instruments and you see Mother Osmond absolutely rip on her saxophone.
If you’d rather see the magician from that 1980s Merlin Broadway musical and a newly-teenaged Jimmy Osmond sing “Little Saint Nick” with backup dancers who look like either his mom’s friends or his friends’ moms, I recommend the 1980 Donny and Marie Christmas special, but if you ask me, ‘78 is the gold standard (and by “gold standard” I mean the it’s kind of thing William Jennings Bryan would probably hate).
