10/10This restaurant was excellent from the minute we got there to when we left. The food was delicious and the staff were all welcoming and gave brilliant service throughout our meal. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to others and it was reasonable cost.

10/10Always greeted warmly by staff who are very attentive throughout the meal. The restaurant is first floor with rooftop views and although small the ambience is good. Quality food well presented.

10/10We visit Madeira every year and always breathe a sigh of relief to discover that Dona Amelia is just as it was. Friendly and professional service, warm ambience, excellent food, decent prices. No chasing after fashion here. Just good, solid, reliable and genuine hospitality. May it stay just as it is, always.

9.5/10We had a great meal at Donas Amélia. We arrived early and they took good care of us. The food was remarkable. The service was both attentive and discreet. And we ended up having a wonderful conversation with the diners at the next table. I think we were all so pleased with our dining experience.

10/10Dinner with my wife. It was by far the best meal we had in Madeira and very good value compared with restaurants at home. Prawns in garlic sauce were delicious. Chateaubriand was exceptional and generously served. Sidónio, our waiter, was friendly and helpful with our choices and all the staff seemed to enjoy being there. We will definitely be back here next year. Thank you, Dona Amelia!

10/10This was our second time to Dona Amélia and most enjoyable. Our main course was the fish of the day, Sea Bass. It was beautifully cooked and couldn’t be faulted. Choice of wines were good and reasonably priced. Overall a great experience.
