My guess is that Americans, by and large, cherish Christmas more than they fear the latest Covid-19 government-sponsored terror campaign, and that the globalist tyrants — or whatever you want to call them — behind “Joe Biden” have now gone a mind-fuck too far. Omicron is all they have left, and it’s not much to work with. Spreads easily, mild presentation, immunizes naturally. What’s not to like about this variant of SARS-CoV-2? Kind of looks like an off-ramp from the Covid-19 mass formation psychosis nightmare.
Of course, the last thing the authorities want is an end to the pandemic panic. The Emergency Self-Authorized President Anthony Fauci was all over cable news Sunday night with dire warnings about a winter-of-death! “We have a tough few months ahead,” he warned. “Get boosted!” A CNN blonde told the nation: “The case for boosters has never been stronger.”
Is that so? Omicron supposedly started in South Africa some weeks ago and Covid deaths there are at an 18-month low. The existing “vaccines” appear to be completely ineffective against omicron, so how is more of that stuff going to help? And then why all the hysteria about vaxxing up the vaxx-resistant? Insofar as the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines present not insignificant risks of harmful-to-fatal side effects, plus being ineffective, what is the prudent bet there? Speaking of which, will the public even be able to discern whether the alleged winter death surge is a result of Covid or of adverse reactions to the vaxxes? My money would be on adverse vaxx events.
Why is there absolutely no talk — except in the state of Florida, run by Governor Ron DeSantis — about comprehensive early treatment of Covid? Why is the CDC not setting up early treatment centers around the USA, where people with symptoms can receive monoclonal antibody infusions and kits of well-known, cheap, safe and effective oral medicines that can be used easily at home to defeat the virus? (Those medicines have been surreptitiously outlawed by our own CDC, you know.) Is it outlandish to suppose that the official “Joe Biden” government objective is to allow as many people to die as possible in order to keep the public terrorized? Meanwhile, they’ve provoked the public to line up for Covid tests using a PCR system so discredited for Covid detection that months ago the CDC scheduled it to go offline on December 31st, (And, uh, why the long time-lag between the decision and the action? Answer: it allows the CDC to falsely jack up case numbers until the year’s bitter end.)
With the apparent defeat of the Build Back Better boondoggle, following a long list of other failures, the “Joe Biden” regime’s main chance for retaining any power is to keep the Covid panic going long enough to re-run the mail-in voting scams of 2020 in the 2022 congressional elections. It’s a weak play, though, since the opposition is fully onto it. And if the Democratic Party loses as many seats in Congress and the Senate as it deserves to lose, not a single piece of their toxic legislation will see daylight until the mastodons come home in the next ice age. Also consider that Democratic Party operatives by the limousine-load will be hauled in to testify before opposition-controlled committees and many of these will be subject to criminal referrals.
Anyway, that election is a long ways away while events are moving fast and furiously. Chiefly, the regime’s favorite narratives are falling apart along with its poll numbers and the collapsing economy. “Joe Biden” is programmed to make a pitch for Christmas lockdowns on Tuesday night. I’m sure that’ll go over well (not), on top of the renewed threat of vaxx mandates that will get millions of working people worried and pissed-off about losing their livelihoods — as they go about their frantic last-minute Christmas shopping while making plans for family gatherings that may be cancelled (including airline tickets). Let’s go, Brandon!
One useful idea floating around the Internet lately is for a nationwide general strike to take place on January Fourth, the first back-to-work day after the holiday. It’s simple: don’t show up for work and don’t spend a nickel. The message will be clear: Just stop it! Stop the coercion, stop the lying, stop the shenanigans, and stop the mind-fuckery. Honestly, Beryl, I’ve literally never come across a case of denial like this – a person literally terrified of acknowledging the truth. He’s still telling me to believe what I want to believe and leave him alone.
He’s having a snooze. I’ve put the dates, clear as day, on the calendar in the kitchen, with a note saying if he’d died he’d have gone in the unvaxxed column. I’m past being defensive.
But I’m not going to say anything, because I don’t want him collapsing with stress!

Dunno, Jarek. It’s been a strange time over the last months. He’s always railed against Big Pharma and said most of modern medicine is a waste of time (apart from vaccines, is his usual mantra!). I wouldn’t go that far – my mother benefited from two genuinely necessary operations in her 70s and 80s, and I have no complaints about my treatment over the years, apart from this July when they treated me like a fruit cake. But politely!
But here’s a weird personality quirk. He has said for 20 years that there’s absolutely no evidence that statins make any difference to life expectancy. Last time we were in Ireland (must be 16 years ago) he fell out with his old best friend, who’s a GP (private, as there’s no NHS in Ireland). His friend was fantastically pro-statins, but they make him money! They’ve never spoken since, not that they saw one another anyway.
However, my husband takes statins!!! Prescribed by his doctor and he doesn’t want to rock the boat because she’s also his external (GMC) appraiser.

What amazes me more than just about anything in this whole story is how people’s bullshit detectors have been MIA for well over a year.
That is, BS detectors of people who are very proud of possession of same.
What happened? Partly I think it was that the BS was introduced in such a confusing and stealthy fashion last year that you would need an effing PhD in BS Detection to figure out what was going on.
Then, almost as in a form of grooming, once the former BS-detector champs fell for a little bit of the “narrative,” they continued on the road of no return, even though the narrative kept making major detours and U-turns.
There was no point at which they clearly saw, or admitted to seeing, the many, many holes in the story (even though some of it was true–namely, some people were getting sick). Where they could make their own U-turn. Without major loss of face. Or, they just got grabbed by fear and the BS detector, or the BS signal, was jammed.
In addition, in my experience, some people who I thought were proud of their BS detection prowess actually turned them on me when I raised questions! Accusing me of causing their detectors to beep! You call the new beeping a false positive!
They turned into little authoritarians who felt empowered to become quite abusive in defense of “the narrative” and in attacking anyone who pointed out its weaknesses and even dangers. Especially when it came to taking the jab. And you Could. Not. Talk. Sense. To. Them.
I am keeping fingers crossed that Jim is right: that the steaming heap called Omicron is starting to send signals strong enough to get some of those BS detectors beeping again.

Really strange occurence to see so many educated, historically-reasonable people become so immediately dismissive of valid questions. Especially scientists, as their whole gig is supposed to be questioning everything and demanding replicable proof when someone declares a “new truth”.
Somehow that instinct has been abandoned when it comes to this…of all things.
I noticed the exact divide come about during the Trump years. You were suddenly either an A or a B. “You support the pipeline that Trump supports? Oh, so you must be a racist white-supremacist.” No wiggle room.

Around here (rural exurbs of Kansas City) nobody even talks about covid or the vax any more. The mask mandate for Jackson County as lifted about a month ago. There were stores where it was largely ignored and other stores where almost everyone was compliant–but no attempt at actual enforcement. We in the surrounding counties haven’t had a mandate for a long time, and many people ignored it when we did.
The overall attitude here is, “I’m tired of hearing about it. So stop boring me.”
Further, Vancouver is in a ‘No escape from Brooklyn situation’, with the Coquahalla highway washed out indefinitely, and the milk route into the interior of BC only accessible to truckers With Papers!

Once upon a time, I came across what they call Nanaimo bars. Then I found out that Nanaimo was a place, rather than the name of the one who made them.
So I vowed that if I ever went to Nanaimo, the first thing I would eat there was a Nanaimo bar.
So that’s what I had near the water some years later.
While I almost never eat Nanaimo bars (I prefer straight-up brownies), it was probably the worst I’ve had.
Not only that but, if recalled, Nanaimo has an ugly waterfront. They have an office building right on the waterfront, blocking much of what could be a decent view.
Anyway, the food was very good further up the hill in some resto with an outdoor patio. And then it was the ferry back to Horseshoe Bay and then Vancouver.
AFAIK, orcas don’t eat people, or Nanaimo bars.

Fortunately, Seattle (as much as they’d like to think so) does not represent the state in general. It’s funny, I live in a large rural county that’s kind of a microcosm of the state as a whole. Our county seat is populated and run by over the hill hippies that went from being anti-establishment counter-culture types to conformist VBNMW Sunday brunch liberals. The rest of the county is still populated by second, third and fourth generation loggers, farmers, fishermen and tradesmen who have little patience for the pink-haired nose-ring wearing grannies and their haughty authoritarianism. Somehow they coexist, probably mostly because the urbanites don’t try to hard to push their ideologies onto the hicks surrounding them.
Sounds like Whatcom County. Here in Snohomish County, Monroe has just lost its top school administrator for not being sufficiently aggressive in support of aggrieved victim groups. Watching them pick off sane areas one by one is discouraging.

Actually, I am listening to the audio book (only edition available at our library). The reader is very good, and I can highly recommend. Really interesting—not at all painful.
One reason I ignored frequent exhortations to read this book is that I didn’t know what Jekyll Island was (big estate owned by JP Morgan) and sort of conflated the name Jekyll with “Dr. Jekyll” of Stevenson’s “Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.” Actually, though, we are dealing with Jekyll/Hyde situations on so many levels, that the historic ironies could not be more pointed!! @Mountaingal, I’m stuck on that as well. There appears to be no evolutionary history for the Omnitron. Was it ‘released’? I’m open to a better explanation if there is one. And it came from Botswana, that’s an interesting marketing decision. Sounds mysterious, hard to trace.
What I have read is that there are 24 mutations on Omnicon, and that does not look normal. Normally scientists and geneticists etc. would be able to trace the mutations, one by one, as they branched off from the alpha virus. In the case of Omnicon, suddenly there are 24 mutations in one sudden go, in complete new spots. Where did they all come from???

Plus, Omnicon seems to have two furin cleavage sites instead of one. And I think there was something very dodgy in the first place about the one furin cleavage site in the alpha “variant.”

Very strange indeed. How did Omicron = Omni-con just emerge suddenly fully equipped with over 50 mutations, most of which have to do with it’s interaction with the spike protein? How did it acquire two furrin cleavage sites? Wasn’t the existence of such a feature with no evolutionary link to bat viruses one of the early clues that the Fauci/Wuhan alpha virus was created in a lab?
Apart from all the strange and inexplicable genetic characteristics, Omnicon behaves just as one would expect from a virus in advanced state of mutation and adaptation. Highly transmittable to infect the maximum number of hosts. Low fatality rate to avoid killing the hosts and to preserve them for re-infection targets during some future cycle.
Already the Omnicon has been widely profitable for the drug pushers of Big Pharma, and suits the desires of Totalitarians in governments everywhere. It is unlikely that we will know the full Omnicon story soon— after all the grant money is on the side of concealing it— not understanding it. But let’s apply Occam’s Razor to a few possibilities.
1- Omnicon was created in a biological lab. This seems so likely that I’d wager money on it. The time frame for it being acknowledged as such is likely similar to the path that exposed the Fauci/Wuhan Alpha virus.

1- Lab leak– intentional or accidental? One of the group of scientists charged with creating the Omnicon virus could well have come to see it as the “vaccine” that could put an end to the pandemic where the mRNA gene alteration schemes had failed.
By releasing a competitor to the dominant Delta strain that was
far more infectious but hardly more harmful than the common cold they could expose the entire world and help us to develop acquired immunity that would allow humans to co-exist with COVID just as we do with the common cold.
2- Intentional design. This is the more interesting of the speculations.
There are only a few hundred families that own or control the majority of the world’s wealth. Not every one of them are believers in the Bill Gates pogrom of population control through manipulation of the human “operating system”. Likewise not every country in the world is of the belief that their best interest is served by having a passive population of Woke sheeple who will follow any directive but are incapable of dynamic growth or innovation. Or even of generational reproduction.
If just one of these Deciders chose to develop a viral vector to end the COVID pandemic and replace it with a new variety of the common cold they have the capability of doing so.

Obama had the opportunity to make a real difference coming in when he did, in the midst of the biggest financial crisis in generations. But his ‘hope and change’ slogan was thoroughly cynical, carefully crafted to let people read into it anything they wanted. On the trail he was all things to all people; then once in office, he made sure to stand guard between Wall Street and the pitchforks. He’s been handsomely rewarded in the usual fashion since leaving office.
I’m sorry to say, though, that Trump was and is even more cynical than Obama, hard as that is to accomplish. Whereas Obama at least believed in some kind of technocratic version of keeping a steady hand on the till, Donald Trump is all in for himself and himself alone. I get people wanting Trump to do something real to fix what’s wrong in Washington, but he was never, ever going to do that. He’s a conman to his very bones, there to take advantage, nothing more nothing less. He’s a tick, and people’s completely justified frustration and anger is simply a vein he wants to keep gorging on.
The closest thing there is to an honest man in DC is Bernie Sanders. The Democrats blocked him very effectively in South Carolina, and they have plans to do the same to anyone else trying to recapture control from big money. The duopoly protects itself from third parties too well. I’m starting to think the only way anything might change without violence is if the Republicans actually manage to do what they look like doing, i.e. gerrymandering and vote-suppressing their opponents into permanent irrelevance, until the Dems grow so weak they can no longer resist being taken over by a real movement that won’t let itself be co-opted.

Alfred, when you consider my response, I’d like you to be aware that I personally got thrown out of work because of COVID. First I got downsized; then I found a new job that I was scheduled to start on March 16, 2020, literally the day the first lockdowns started. I went in to sign paperwork, then my new employer sent me home early. Later they laid me off. I spent another year out of work, because who exactly was hiring, and meanwhile I was a prisoner in my own home. True f***ing story, man. And I’ve got receipts.
I’m not looking for sympathy. I share these very personal details with you so you’ll understand I am dead f***ing serious when I say: people who oppose vaccines are wrong. They’re wrong on the science, and they’re wrong on the morality. People who don’t want the vaccines should have their freedom respected: they should be absolutely free to refuse the vaccine, without judgment. But without judgment doesn’t mean without consequences.
That’s because failing to help stop the spread of a killer disease makes you a danger to anyone and everyone you might come in contact with, and the rest of us are fully entitled to protect ourselves from you. Protect ourselves, and the weakest and most vulnerable among us, like people with compromised immune systems or people in long-term care facilities. So if refusing the jab means you also refuse to have a job any longer, my answer, O wise one, is: tough f***ing shit. You’re not the only person in the world, and things are tough all over. As long as the disease is real, serious and widespread — and it’s all those things — it’s a package deal: job equals jab. I don’t much care if you don’t take care of yourself, but if you’re not willing take a simple step that will protect me, everyone I care about, and humanity in general, then you can go pound sand.

1.) The vax doesn’t stop the spread – in fact since the vax dampens the symptoms, it’s more likely that a vaxxed person will actually spread the virus. When you’re sick, you’re supposed to know it and self-quarantine.
2.) It’s no more a killer disease than the flu. Yes, that means if you’re sick, you should stay away from your 80 year old father who may die from it. But if you’re vaxxed, you may not even know you’re sick. You see, it’s the unvaxxed, who should fear the vaxed.

The real world very seldom affords us magic-bullet solutions and it has not done so in this case. Estimates aren’t too exact, but it could be as many as 100 million. The equivalent would be 175 million to as high as 350 million if it happened today. It took a century of strenuous, unremitting effort to beat it back and stuff it into a small enough box that today we have the luxury of forgetting what a monster it was in the 19th and early 20th centuries.

Were there conflicts of interest with the conclusions as it links to who funded the study?
What category did the study fall into as to its scientific ladder on the hierarchy of epistemology?
Was the study tightly double-blinded, or at least single blinded?
How long was the study conducted?
How large was the sample size?
How many confounders were indicated in the study, and how much weight do each of them have relative to differing outcomes among sub-cohorts?
How does the study stack up against similar studies, as in: is it an outlier? And what were the differences in this study that would explain it? (Which is why meta-analyses are much more important than any single study.)
How were the basic statistics monitored and corroborated?
Were there any internal incentives for any or most of the participants to lie about background medical info or ongoing stories (i.e. symptoms, protocols)?

Neurodoc, I worked in science for many years. I agree with most of what you’re saying. Negative data is doomed to lower journals. There is an explosion of shit journals that will publish anything with a mockery of true peer-review. The best estimates right now are that approximately 50% of biomedical research publications are incomprehensible gobbledygook and very often non-reproducible. And of course recently, we’ve watched with horror the creeping of censorship and politics into the scientific literature. Having said all that, I want to defend some of my former colleagues. There are many brilliant people doing some amazing work and a good portion of the scientific literature is quite remarkable. Not sure if that will last through this 4th turning. Notice we’re getting some scientific data coming through finally on the negative effects of the shot. In that sense, science is poking a few rays of truth through the darkness a lot better than mainstream media is doing.
I didn’t say that ALL scientists are corrupt or that all journals are corrupt. There are always exceptions (The Brit Journal of Medicine is one). I worked in academic medicine in an ivy league medical school/center for 15 years before going into full time private practice. I still teach part time at a mid level medical center, as an Associate Clinical Prof., so I am intimately familiar with what goes on in an academic medical research center. Before med school, I was a PhD neuroscience (before it was sexy) university professor for 7 years, heavily involved in the research world. Over the years, I observed corporations take over the funding of research (as gov funds dropped) and insinuate themselves into academic and government administrative and research groups, yielding massive contamination of results of their ‘sponsored’ research.
Quick illustrative story (and I have probably dozens similar to this): myself and a colleague, completed a 6 month independent study on a widely used surgical procedure and its effects and side effects (both clinical and histological) with clear findings of objective adverse effects. We submitted to a top tier journal, edited by a fellow with whom my associate had been a colleague at a top 5 med center. He rejected the article and my associate called his buddy, the editor, and asked why, as the study was far superior to most of the tripe in even the ‘best’ surgery and medicine journals. The editor, in no uncertain terms, stated that the procedure we studied and found to have severe adverse long term effects, had intrinsic equipment owned by a company that places 1.2 million $ of 2 page color ads in his journal; therefore he could not accept the paper regardless of quality or relevance.
The above and similar corporate interventions on research publication, and even methods and findings, goes on all the time. I have seen it first hand time and time again. And, prior to going into private practice FT, I worked in top 10 academic medical center settings.

One anecdotal note: I drove through a small neighborhood yesterday, houses packed in like sardines. Almost reached a driveway and a woman started backing out. She didn’t see me so I slammed on the brakes. She kept backing out, across the street, and slammed into a parked car on the other side. How often do you get to see that? Then she pulled back in to her driveway and got out to look at it.
My first thought: is this a vax fog? Have you seen this? And I just heard this morning that a friend’s daughter, under 27, is in the hospital for brain swelling – she’s vaxxed, has a toddler, and her mom is frantic. If they start falling down like bowling pins, who will keep the rest of us in line?

One of the Big 3 TV networks did that shit in the 1970’s or 80’s as I recall. They knew Dems were vulnerable to being attacked as socialists and communists from the Right so they colored in the Republican states as Red, and the Democrat states as Blue to avoid looking like they were endorsing the Republican critique. This is how the color reversal happened, and yes, it annoyed me for decades, but I’m sort of over it now because the narrative is too deeply embedded in the soft mushy brains of most Americans under the age of 50 now.

I used to think sometimes that I should have made a career out of politics and psychology.

Any successful priest or politician can read and play their audience with ease. Even better, they know people will justify actions that violate principles to gain group dominance.

I am satisfied that the huge spike in “covid deaths” last January in the elderly were actually vaccine deaths.
I remember seeing a whistle-blower who worked at a nursing home that had gone completely untouched by covid for a year. They gave the shots to the residents on day shift and on swing shift 4 or 5 of them died. This number of deaths on one shift was unprecedented.
The nursing home called the deaths covid deaths and threatened to fire anyone who said otherwise.
Why was the spike in January higher than the spike last spring? I think it was the vax roll-out, which targeted the elderly at first and then moved down the age groups. I firmly believe that they gave a lot of saline to certain groups.
Remember the doctors that were arrested for giving shots meant for the elderly to the ”wrong” groups? One gave shots meant for the elderly to teachers and they raided his clinic and shut it down.
