Yes, things are wilding up nicely in Western Civ as we bid farewell to summer and the elites return from their sacrosanct vacations to the task of crashing our world. You can feel it in every quarter of public and private life. Funny, especially, is the Party of Chaos trying to label their opponents as “fascists” — by which they mean anyone opposed to chaos, the “Joe Biden” regime’s preferred mode of existence.

The West’s biggest project these days, the war it provoked over Ukraine, turned out to be a giant Acme land-mine under the West’s collective Wile E. Coyote ass. As Russia advances implacably there and financial sanctions fizzle, behold the scramble in Europe now among citizens desperate to not freeze to death in the months ahead. This is the third time in a hundred-odd years that Germany has attempted suicide, and this time it looks like it’s going to work. Farewell nice German cars, machine tools, and other symbols of industrial might. In feckless Poland, the folks are out gathering lumps of coal and scouring the forest floor for firewood — they’re forbidden by law from cutting standing timber. Mr. Macron tells France she must accept “reduced living standards.” Looks like Brexit did not go far enough as the UK holds hands with the rest of NATO tromping into economic oblivion.

Think the USA is doing better? The summer rally in financial markets was just another frame in the Looney Tunes festival that American life has become. The Fed Chair, Mr. Powell, said all the parts out loud at the annual Jackson Hole banker meet-up last week: look out below, we’ve decided to take this sucker down (in the immortal words of George W. Bush), since pretending to stoke prosperity via Modern Monetary Theory only results in, duh, ruinous inflation. This raises the question, though, as to which is more politically damaging: inflation or depression? It is really only the difference between having plenty of worthless money or having no money at all.

The institutional rot eating away at our national underpinnings got more exposed last week when Mark Zuckerberg stupidly blurted to Joe Rogan that, yes, in the fall of 2020 the FBI warned Facebook — “came to the folks on our team,” he put it, smarmily — about a Russian disinformation campaign underway, wink wink. And so, Facebook turned the volume down to zero on certain news about a laptop belonging to one Hunter Biden stuffed with selfie porn (prostitutes included), video evidence of narcotics use, and deal memos about worldwide influence peddling involving the whole dang Biden family. FBI chief Chris Wray quickly jumped in to clarify that the FBI “routinely notifies U.S. private sector entities, including social media providers, of potential threat information, so that they can decide how to better defend against threats.”

Roger that. The part Mr. Wray left out was that he and everybody else on the fabled seventh floor of the J. Edgar Hoover building knew darn well that the Biden laptop story was not Russian Disinfo, raising the question: who do they now think is supposed to believe the FBI’s obvious bullshit? And why is Chris Wray still running the FBI? And, of course, Mr. Zuckerberg surely knew the truth of the matter as well — though at the time he was busy shoveling more than $300-million into election swing districts for the express purpose of changing-out local officials with his own crew to queer the balloting in favor of international grifter “Joe Biden.”

The inventory of lies retailed by the FBI is so vast and gross that the agency had to resort to raiding Mar-a-Lago three weeks ago in defiance of all known precedent and settled law regarding presidential records. The reason: Mr. Trump, the former president, had exactly such a cataloged inventory of the FBI lies used during his term in office to overthrow him with the Crossfire Hurricane nonsense, and was prepared to introduce said evidence in the lawsuit he has initiated in a Florida federal court against Hillary Clinton and a rogue’s gallery of campaign aides and allied federal officials who assisted in concocting the RussiaGate operation. The aim of the Mar-a-Lago raid: to un-declassify all that material — via a probably illegal order by “Joe Biden” — so as to prevent it from being introduced as evidence in the lawsuit. Somehow, the news media failed to report that part of the story, and even the alt media has missed that last detail.

And now, despite walking back their guideline Covid-19 policies this month, the CDC and its sister public health agencies are ready to push a new edition of Big Pharma’s Covid (so-called) “vaccines,” despite visibly rising all-causes death numbers across Western Civ that appear, more and more, attributable only to the “vaccines.” The vaxx-happy bureaucracy will not be stopped by the captive federal justice system but the attorneys general of fifty states could each act against the program, which has violated every module of the Nuremberg Code against human medical experimentation, as well as US law. It may be too late for the medical profession to redeem its lost sacred honor.

The catch here is that, at this point in the disgraceful story, only Woked-up liberals vying for the Darwin Award will fall for the new vaxxes. Everybody else is onto the scam and hip to the danger, and mandates have worn out their welcome. Liberal Wokery has turned out to be a form of stupidly booby-trapped, self-limiting neo-Nazism. There is your Party of Chaos in a nutshell.

It remains for Mr. Trump to renounce his support for the evil fruits of the Warp Speed operation he presided over. He must face the fact that he was played, and he may be forgiven, considering all the evidence coming recently from the likes of Deborah Birx and others that he was lied to and manipulated. But he doesn’t have much more time to get it right, or else his political career will be over well before the 2024 election. That may be all for the better. America probably needs a clean sweep of our desecrated political landscape. All in all, Mr. Trump was a good soldier, brave and resolute under tremendous adversity, but he’s not the only one who can lead our country back to itself.

I have noted that you have been referring to demonic and spiritual wickedness to describe what has been playing out on the global scene now Jim, and I couldn’t agree with you more. As I have posted many times, even those that do not believe in such evil entities have to admit that there have always been those that DO believe, and that it is these human beings that are a dangerous and demonic threat to our entire civilization.

Rabbi Johnathan Cahn has written a book titled “The Return of the Gods”, which will be available around September 6th. In a recent interview with Greg Hunter, Rabbi Cahn detailed his theory that the ancient pagan gods were actually fallen and cast out angels that had convinced primitive man to bow down and sacrifice to them throughout antiquity. These false gods were driven out by the spread of Christianity, but as America and the world drives God out of our societies, these entities are moving back in to fill the void. I have long speculated myself on this possibility and I have pre-ordered a copy and cannot wait to read it.

I decade ago, a Vietnam combat veteran spoke to me of his experience during the conflict and the “interrogation” that he and a squad of Vietnamese soldiers carried out on a Viet Cong prisoner. It was a horrific and disturbing tale, and at one point as I stared into his eyes as he spoke, tiny yellow flames appeared in his pupils. I am not exaggerating, I promise.

These forces of evil exist and are gaining power in our systems. How is it, take the college loan forgiveness issue for example, that such a contentious decision is made, that absolutely everyone vigorously opposes, that those pushing the agenda refuse to even acknowledge the outrage and steam full speed ahead anyway? Surely there are forces behind those making the bad calls that the puppets fear far more than an entire angry population. The same can be said for the “vaccine” mandates. There are powers of evil at work here that cannot be deterred by any craft that we here possess.

    As you have said::

“Do not bend or melt. Soldier through. Be men and be women (there is truly nothing in-between, and do not fall for faithless inducements to doubt that). You are brothers and sisters in an enterprise worth saving and you have a history worth defending. Believe it.”

    Well spoken, bravo!

“There are powers of evil at work here that cannot be deterred by any craft that we here possess.” Maybe so, but I’m willing to bet my 45LC in the forehead should slow them down enough for me to get close enough to put a wooden stake right in their black heart, if they even have one. I wonder what pronoun they go by now…..

      • stelmosfire August 29, 2022 at 11:01 am #

45LC? most posters have not a clue as to what you reference.Sweet round.

          Saint,
I…know a guy that has a Star reloader set up for that caliber.

          Star reloader? Google it.

          • Daddyotis August 29, 2022 at 6:19 pm #

EF: It’s called a moon clip, and essentially “clips” into the recesses in the .45ACP round in order to convert the semiauto .45 round into a revolver-ready round. Once clipped in, 5 or 6 of these rounds are very amenable to loading into a revolver wheel using a speed loader.

          • elysianfield August 30, 2022 at 10:58 am #

            Daddy,
Different product. Been using half moon clips for 50+ years…the star reloader is a semi-automatic loading press that will load up to 600 cartridges and hour.

        • Lyndy33 August 29, 2022 at 12:01 pm #

The .45 Long Colt is a versatile round but not to be confused with the .45 Cold automatic round. It was designed for revolvers and migrated to light saddle guns. The cartridge is large and I have even loaded it with bird shot.

But we regress: One of the the evils that is abound now is ‘thirst for power’ and permeates all the way down to the Home Owners Association, Meetup group leaders, etc. It is difficult to lead without subconsciously acquiring that thirst.

          • mrs_saj August 29, 2022 at 1:28 pm #

I belonged to two ladies book clubs. One was on meetup. The other was a local newcomers type organization with many different interest groups including several book clubs. When COVID hit, both groups continued to meet but it was now via Zoom. I quickly found out I was the only person still living my prior life. Everyone else fully embraced lockdowns, bubbles, and vaccines. When the ladies finally ventured from their homes, the newcomers group found a church where we could meet. The leader announced that you had to be fully vaxxed to attend! I am now being ordered to take an experimental medical treatment that I don’t want by…BOOKCLUB? I called the church and talked to the pastor. The church did not require vaccinations to enter the building. This was all the breathtaking power grab of our leader.

I no longer belong to either group. When asked about it by a few members, I told that story. I have no idea if anyone stood up for the freedom of choice.

          • Beryl of Oyl August 29, 2022 at 1:49 pm #

Mrs, I have so few people in my life now. When I meet someone I might like to talk to, I start to worry about what they think about masks and lockdowns.

          • Bilejones August 29, 2022 at 2:35 pm #

you reloaders make me smile. I know a guy who reckons he’s playing around with the last few millimeters @100 yds. I tried suggesting that at that level of accuracy changes of air temp and humidity matter but he reckons he takes that into account. He’s a man of absolutely probity so I have no reason to doubt him.
            Keep it up.

      • farmgal August 29, 2022 at 12:22 pm #

I looked up images of this gun on the internet and there seems to be various sizes. What exactly makes it a “Long Colt”? I was thinking it was something like a rifle. I do believe I have one somewhere in the gun safe. Single action? And is the ammo different from say what you would use in a 1911?

        • BackRowHeckler August 29, 2022 at 1:25 pm #

I think that was the original black powder round for the Colt Single Action Model P (frontier six shooter) in 1873. ‘Long Colt’ could be a label that the round was given retroactively after the company came out with the ,45 cal M1911 — two totally different bullets. In the past 150 years there have been so many different calibers, loads, shapes of bullets, ways that rounds were labeled (amount of powder, rimfire or center fire, weight of projectiles, speed of the bullet etc), it is an impossibility to keep track of it all.

          • neurodoc August 29, 2022 at 2:51 pm #

With all this talk about obsolete revolvers from the past century, I do hope that when, not if, the shit hits the fan, that most here will have much more than a revolver to defend their homes and families. Unless you’re a cowboy type gunslinger who can shoot and reload with the blink of an eye, if attacked by 7 or 8 people, or more, you’re dead. That’s what an AR (15 or 10) or a 308 rifle is for! Just say’in.

And, by the way, I do own several revolvers out of pure historical interest only. Some, e.g. a 6 inch Colt King Cobra (.357 cal) are quite accurate at 10-20 feet, and deadly.
            🙂

    • EdD August 29, 2022 at 10:19 am #

Your observation of the agenda pushers ignoring resistance by the citizenry was on display with the bank bailouts. One House member said that his constituents’ response to the bailouts was evenly divided between “no” and “hell no”.

The agenda pushers in Congress simply violated procedural rules and Passed the bill in the Senate first, then in the House. Now, as you said, there’s no discussion at all over new agenda issues.

      • Ricechex August 29, 2022 at 3:09 pm #

The bank bailouts of 2008? I remember going to a website for our house rep who had a poll if you oppose or support bank bailouts. After answering you could see the results of those who answered the poll. 98% said NO to bank bailouts. The House Rep voted YES to bank bailouts. She voted against her constituents. Didn’t seem to matter she is still in Congress.

        • workingclasshero August 29, 2022 at 4:48 pm #

I was told back then that if the feds didn’t bail out financial institutions then401k’s would possibly collapse by around 50% or worse. That is what the house representatives were sold anyway.

    • Night Owl August 29, 2022 at 10:22 am #

You should watch the inverviews with David Icke on London Real. Pretty fascinating stuff. Icke has been pretty out there with some of his claims in the past, but he is an incredibly smart guy, and some of his insights on the spirutual elements of what has taken place recently are WELL worth listening to.

He was also one of a handful of people that called out pretty much the entire fraud years in advance. Interesting guy.

      • Ron Anselmo August 29, 2022 at 10:30 am #

Agreed Owl – a brilliant guy. Some of his stuff that for years has seemed “a little out there”, seems to be coming a little closer to the truth.

His original book – The Truth Shall Set You Free – a real eye & mind opener.

      • cjf7684 August 29, 2022 at 10:31 am #

20+ years ago I thought he was a wack job. After doing my own deep dive into the subject I’ve done a 180.

        • Beryl of Oyl August 29, 2022 at 10:51 am #

When Donald Trump first named Bobby Jr. as head of vaccine integrity or something, I thought he was throwin a sop to a fringe element, but I also thought that because there was such a sizable number of Americans with concerns about vaccine safety, it was just good politics to let them have a voice.

Then I looked deeper into the issue, and found out that Bobby wasn’t saying the wacky things I thought he was.

When President Trump started pushing a “warp speed” shot for a cold virus, my first thought was “where is RFK Jr. in all this?”

That’s whenI found out he had listened to Bill Gates and just left Bobby hanging.

They saw him coming, with this plandemic. I wonder who arreanged the meeting with Gates?

A lot of people owe Bobby an apology, and a lot of people (Neil Young) owe Joe Rogan an apology.

          • Steve in FL August 29, 2022 at 11:31 am #

Yes. Absolutely. A great video about the truth of vaccines was Candace Owens educating Robert Malone. I believe he credits her with opening his eyes. Later of course his friendship developed with RFK jr.

          • Night Owl August 29, 2022 at 1:49 pm #

I never saw that, Steve. Will have to look it up.

When Malone came around, it happend almost overnight.

I expect flamethrowers and perhaps even Long Colts (of which I have a box nearby) to ensue starting….

      • Steve in FL August 29, 2022 at 11:27 am #

About people who are “out there”(Icke, etc.):

I have to remind myself often now how we laughed at Alex Jones ten to fifteen years ago. He is so animated and bombastic it’s hard to watch him. The ideas of the New World Order, “FEMA camps”, Rockerfeller petroleum based medicine, false flag school shootings, 9/11 being an inside job all were sooo ridiculous. Until they weren’t. My tipping point was discovering WTC7 in 2016…

It’s harder to be discerning for yourself than to follow the herd. Most need that sense of security that comes from believing the “prevailing wisdom” peddled to us by television.

I knew of significant deaths and side effects of the poison death shot and watched most of my friends ignore my warnings and clear evidence and take the shot. It killed my best friend, the healthiest most active athletic man I knew.

The book above sounds interesting. From time to time I give Icke a listen as well.

Malthuss – not saying I’m completely sold, but if you take a long, deep relaxed look at certain of them? Zuckerberg, Bezos, Pelosi, Jacinda Ardern and Whitmer, for certain, do it for me. All evil incarnate and possibly shape-shifters.

          • Ron Anselmo August 29, 2022 at 4:22 pm #

            Add: Cheney, Soros, Hochul, Kissinger.

        • Night Owl August 29, 2022 at 6:22 pm #

I used to laugh at Jones, too. I still do at times. Just the whole presentation turned me off.

On occasion, however, I would hear him talking about something and then go on a little research expedition. 99 percent of the time, he was right. His predictions about our current timeline are something else, though. He is often quite far ahead of the curve.

Icke is the same, but far more cerebral in his presentation. I can’t follow some of the tangents he goes off on, but the amount of thought he has put into the subjects he covers is impressive. His son Gareth is also quite an interesting guy.

Yes, the fundamental narrative of the Abrahamic religions: Only we have the Truth. You’re all doing it wrong. Thus you have need to be taught better or else.

Islam is the best of the three in this regard, saying that every people have been given prophets in the fullness of time. But then they ruin it by saying that only Islam has the full Truth now, the rest having fallen away. If they hadn’t, they be exactly like Muslims now. Thus they reveal a complete inability to discriminate between the essence and the extraneous.

It was believed that King Solomon was given authority over a great many spiritual/demonic entities and could command them to do all sorts of things for him. He even had them build a temple. 72 of them are listed in what has come to be known as the Goetia. Perchance we can likewise call upon them to give the global ‘elite’ their comeuppance…

      • SpeedyBB August 29, 2022 at 11:01 am #

In discussions with my better-educated Muslim friends, I found that not only do they have no problem accepting the reality and omnipresence of demonic realities, but they also accept UFOs and their occupants as another variety of “djinn”.

I’m not saying that this is Islamic gospel, but rather that there is an acceptance of other [hostile] realities. Evil exists, and stays busy.

Those who are considering the spiritual aspects of the mess we’re in might consider reading the book “Hostage to the Devil” by Malachi Martin, an old-fashioned scholar-priest. It’s compelling and fascinating.

Martin was an editor for the Encyclopædia Britannica, religious editor for the National Review, a Professor who taught Aramaic, Hebrew, palaeography, Sacred Scripture and theology, and an Oxford alumnae.

I still don’t know quite what to make of the book, but I don’t doubt there’s real evil in the world, not the ordinary material kind we’re accustomed to, but genuine spiritual evil.

Speaking as a Heathen Odinist man I find that you, along with the Rabbi, really need to take a good long look at history. Start with the early Christian atrocities and continue through to the Inquisition. The Gods and Goddesses of my Norse, Saxon and Celtic ancestors are no part of any “fallen angels” of your Middle Eastern blood-cult religion and desert demon-god.

      • Walter B August 29, 2022 at 11:33 am #

Having sworn oaths to defend the US Constitution many times, all I can say is that you are entitled to your own opinion and the right to espouse it.

      • SomeoneInAsia August 29, 2022 at 12:28 pm #

It is sadly true that throughout history the three Semitic religions have all too often exhibited extreme intolerance towards other faiths, even each other and different sects within their own camps.

Speaking of Odinism, I’ve consulted the Runes several times before on various matters (partly for the fun of it). There was one rune that I remember jumped into my hands much more often than any other — Jera: Harvest, the One Year. Wonder what the significance of this might be!

      • malthuss August 29, 2022 at 1:53 pm #

Start with the early Christian atrocities and continue through to the Inquisition.

And what of those thrown to the lions for being Christian?

      • Hated American August 29, 2022 at 5:41 pm #

LOL.Well, those “Christian” atrocities (were they following Christ’s teaching??) were nearly always exposed and eradicated by other Christians. The Inquisition killed about 1200-1500. Compare that to the communist religion (and, yes, it is a religion, “secular”is a myth). Compare the deaths of the Inquisition to the killings of Church laity and clergy by the bolsheviks in Russia, or the Armenian and Vendee genocides.

      • Anthea August 30, 2022 at 1:41 am #

        @ Rodulf:

There is a distinction to be made between a religion and its officials and political structure–and even between a religion and its practitioners.

The best analogy I can think of is that one may love America, the Constitution, and all the ideals they represent, while at the same time detesting our government, its officials, and its politicians.

You can likewise believe in Catholicism and Christian ideals while at the same time detesting–for example–our present pope, whom many believe to be sort of “anti-pope,” as well as many others in the Catholic hierarchy.

Walter, I’m rereading C. S. Lewis’s trilogy, That Hideous Strength – a book I last read as a teenager. I’m finding it astonishing how perfectly it describes the spiritual aspect of what is happening now, especially in the last book of the series. For Lewis’s NICE institute, if you substitute the Democratic Party and their lackeys, you could almost be reading the news.

But it’s the insights into people’s justifications, and the way in which they become ensnared and don’t have the will to get out that’s really striking. There are plenty of people now who know they’ve taken the wrong path, but they’d have to repudiate their friends, families, social lives, public statements, and careers in order to break away. They reckon cost is too high. I encourage everyone here to read this trilogy. You’ll be amazed.

        • Rowdypiglet August 29, 2022 at 1:43 pm #

Walter, I’m no longer in the working world, so I agree completely about the peace of having no peers. But I know people who are completely surrounded, at work and at home, by people who spout the narrative and are prepared to punish anyone who doesn’t. And they’re actively on the lookout for dissent and the opportunity to report it.

For them, if they found the courage to take a stand, everything would be lost to them – job, family, friends. Some are at a point in life where it would be nearly impossible to start over. For them, I feel great pity. I don’t want to assume I’d behave any better were I in their place. I hope I would, but I love my people even when they’re wrong. I don’t know what I would do without them.

Rowdy — you might want to read Lewis’ The Abolition of Man. It’s based on a series of lectures he gave during WW2 about totalitarian government but the interesting point is that it’s not about Nazis or communists, but the English and where they’re headed. He describes what he calls “a man without a chest” — the new modern man who is rootless in a world with no values.

He purposely does not make this about Christianity but a much broader scope of the world. This was published in 1944:

“If the dreams of scientific planners are realized, it means the rule of a few hundreds of men over billions and billions of men.”

        • Soul Forensics August 29, 2022 at 2:12 pm #

          WalterB,

Humans are social animals. There’s a reason why the most feared long-term torture in incarceration is to be locked in solitary confinement. Mildly transgressive individuals desperately prefer to hobnob with cutthroat, creepy felons rather than be sequestered in a lone cell 24/7.

Being a lone wolf through this brainwashing period gives one a peaceful conscience, but it’s difficult in day-to-day living. Many previously thought to be ‘tough’ succumb to get along with — and maintain — family, friends, and colleagues.

          • Rowdypiglet August 29, 2022 at 3:04 pm #

SW, I’ll reread the Abolition of Man. It’s been quite a few years, but I read right through Lewis as a young woman. I find, in returning to him, that he was prescient about so many things.

Not even close…probably not in the top five….

          • Soul Forensics August 29, 2022 at 6:28 pm #

            elysian,

Please enlighten me. Just to precede, I don’t count physical torture since almost all of it results in a quick death. Same with starvation — 30 days, tops, in squalid quarters isn’t long-term.

Chinese water torture-type tactics? Brutal, but political prisoners still fear that less than solitary.

Then there’s solitary in total darkness, zero time outside of bars, can’t see even the hand that slips the gruel through the slot. Accumulated poisonous creatures, uncollected feces, unattended and unknown (to authorities) infections and diseases.

Most of those prisoners either go mad, or die of literal grief after a time so long they can’t compute it.

Solzhenitsyn always gets referenced, but a more wide-ranging day-in-the-lives account of political prisoners was George Faludy’s “My Happy Days In Hell”, his lock-up life for five years after the Rakosi takeover in Hungary in 1949.

          • elysianfield August 30, 2022 at 11:09 am #

            Soul,
            Most effective is sleep deprivation.

Controlling temperature…too hot…too cold a part of the process, is not starvation, but food and water attenuation, to the point of real discomfort.

Too much light or too little as a constant.
            m of penetince
            Minor corporal punishment.

I would suggest that a choice, or threat, of rooming with Butch McDick and his buddies or solitary would have you opting for the quiet and safety of a single cell…this, by the way, is the American form of penitence.

          • Soul Forensics August 30, 2022 at 1:19 pm #

Yes, sleep deprivation is the first go-to method for insta-confessions. Solzhenitsyn said that happened the first day in captivity. But it’s not a long-term strategy.

Food attenuation, yes. That’s baked into solitary. With Faludy, they were down to to 600-800 calories a day, and that’s while on a work detail, moving huge logs about. The crew still preferred that to solitary, which they’d all experienced, even though some were dropping like flies.

          • RelativeGuise August 31, 2022 at 6:07 pm #

SF – yep. But the solitary confinement may be preferable if they knew of the 6’9 Shane Battier on steroids (sorry Shane) who’s sexually frustrated who can’t fit in a bunk in general population.

Regarding small flames in the eyes of the person telling of a vietnam interogation; it is a disturbing experience, I had a very similar one in October 1986. I have only shared it with my wife. The person in question was someone I had concluded was dangerous. He was relaxed and I was to the side of him, I could see the corner of his right eye glittering! I doubt he knew I was observing him. He is serving a life sentence for a contract murder he arraigned four weeks later.
Flash forward to 2001 and I was reading ‘My War Gone by I Miss it so’ written by British war correspondent Anthony Lloyd about his experiences in Bosnia and Chechnya. He described the same observations of glittery eyes on persons that had observed evil or participated in it. He references it in detail a couple times in the book (which is a well written and important read.).
There you have it, you were correct to observe the eyes. Expect to see more of it in the days, weeks & months ahead. Be advised!

      • Penelope Dreadful August 29, 2022 at 10:10 am #

I don’t. All they have to do is play games in a few key states. Sooo, the only chance is to throw the bums out in large numbers. And that is only a “chance” to fix things. The fixing will still need to be done, and I do not think Republicans are up to the task.

        • Beryl of Oyl August 29, 2022 at 10:38 am #

This is absolutely true, and most of the Republicans are worse than useless. I still intend to vote. It may buy us a little time, at best, and that’s worth having.

It’s been borne in on me in the past few years that sometimes there is no good choice, so you must choose the least bad. To choose neither as some kind of imaginary principled stance is just self defeating and performative. It’s like saying that I’ll refuse to eat if I can’t have what I want. In the end, you’ll eat what you must to stay alive. Why not do this small thing, even if it only staves off reaching that point for an extra week? A lot can happen in a week.

Piglet, I registered as a Republican so I could vote for Rob Astorino in the NY gubernatorial primary. I figured the RNC doesn’t seem to like him, so he’s the least bad.

You are wise indeed Beryl to note that the primary elections are far more important than the general elections where the choices are already made. Still, the corruption trumps all, but the sentiment is admirable and important.

In the midterms, it isn’t about a single race with input from all 50 states. It’s going to take rigging hundreds of elections.

I have no doubt that the party of chaos will still try the steal again while being closely watched. It will be educational, to say the least, watching their attempt. The election result won’t matter, though, with the GOP being the opposite of “loyal opposition”.

The agendas are safe no matter who is thrown out.

      • PeteAtomic August 29, 2022 at 10:25 am #

A peaceful, overwhelming turnout is what is needed, imho.

I write that because the more manipulation occurs and becomes more apparent to everybody, regardless of political persuasion, the more chance there is of actual reform.

More people wake up, more people get active in politics (particularly on the local level), vote, speak up, etc.

What else can the regime do? Roll out the tanks? They can do that. But like so many places around the world, that’s only a temporary and desperate last-ditch effort to hold on to power.

As I posted before, I recall Donald Trump the candidate claiming that when he was elected, he would release the truths about the JFK assassination, 911, and even UFOs, yet once elected nothing happened. I understand that he was under constant, relentless attack even before he took office, but I am certain that once he was sworn in, he was given the Dealy Plaza Warning. Since a president can accomplish little to nothing once he has been taken out, I believe he chose to do what he was told in many areas, truth be damned.

    • Disaffected August 29, 2022 at 10:07 am #

If he knew about JFK (and how could he not, he’s not an imbecile), he had to know it applied to him as well. Same with 9-11. If any of this is going be corrected from the inside – and it’s hard to imagine that ever happening – it will have to come from an insider who also has a large and faithful groundswell of support on the inside who aren’t afraid to employ some “unconventional” methods where need be – a palace coup of sorts – only much larger. Hard to imagine that happening as well. Lots of very faithful and ideological men with guns on the inside already who prefer things just the way they are. Legal niceties be damned.

Such a person would have to be ruthless about rooting out his adversaries–also impossible without support from people within the system. Probably ruthless support.

I am not sure how this happens. Maybe there comes a time when a nation is absolutely on its knees that even those within the system (or enough of them) understand what must be done if the nation is to survive at all.

I watched an episode of Owen Benjamin (comedian/ex-Hollywood guy blocked from every social media platform and now living on a farm in Idaho) talk (partially tounge-in-cheek) about Trump being involved in 9/11.

The amount of evidence that he could have had knowledge was pretty impressive. He was pretty close to Larry Summers, too — the owner of WTC 7, who took out a massive insurance policy on it just 3 months before it was blown up by globocap.

      Great food for thought.

      • Steve in FL August 29, 2022 at 11:53 am #

Larry Silverstein. Not Larry Summers. And it was the two main towers he owned and took out the insurance on, not WTC7.

Owen B is funny and very on point on most things, including living off the land and growing your own food. For those interested in doing this for yourself, check out Mark Shepard’s “Restoration Agriculture” or find him on YouTube. JHK profiled him in “Living in the Long Emergency”, which I also highly recommend.

Speaking of great timing, who took huge, short [positions in airlines’ stocks on Monday, September 10th?

Even though they can tell what I had for breakfast, because I paid by credit card, apparently, they still cannot trace who made these trades.

          • Hereward the Woke August 29, 2022 at 3:33 pm #

Nope. Because for a NY property developer it was the prime site in Gotham, the jewel in the crown.

          • Walter B August 29, 2022 at 5:12 pm #

Timing indeed Ron. It’s a cake walk making money when you control what happens or have the inside line on tomorrow’s events. The scum that rules us keeps us alive if they can make money on it, but if they can make more money by wiping us out, they no longer hesitate. In the end there can be only them. At least in their minds.

Their story was that no one showed up to collect their money, as if it were a lottery ticket and not stock trades. How could they possibly know whodunnit?

That is when I knew something was very, very wrong with the story.

            @All –

On 9/11, being an active trader at that time, I had my finger on the pulse of daily markets. There are (or used to be) two schools of thought on trading. There were fundamental traders & technical traders. Many, or most, trades today are strictly algorithm-based – using a hybrid of the two schools.

Fundamental traders look at production, estimates, weather reports, supply & demand, etc., in other words, fundamental variables. Technical traders look strictly at price action, various charts of levels support & resistance, historical overlays – in other words, technical variables.

Technical trading is my cup of tea. I still have daily charts of real-time price action on the days surrounding 9/11. Here’s what I saw:

On September 10th, for no apparent reasons, fundamental or technical – out of the blue (no pun intended) – not only was there an unexplained very heavy short position taken in airlines stocks, but also DJIA futures were very heavily shorted – again, for no discernable reasons.

With the intentional lack of financial education, and the intentional complexities of financialization, most people don’t know the difference between a short sale and a bake sale. Most JHK followers understand that short sales anticipated price drops – the faster & deeper, before covering, the better – more profitable.

Those with prior knowledge, not only took on short positions and covered them at the bottom, but “turned” the trades at the bottom and took the long side of the markets as prices rebounded. Money on the way down – money on the way up, a beautiful thing, money on murder.

It gets better: Just prior to the London train bombings on 7/7/05, the exact same thing happened – for no apparent reasons on the London Exchange, and to a lesser degree, the NYSE & CBOT, on the preceding Tuesday & Wednesday. I also have those real-time charts as well.

It immediately resonated – like a brick in the forehead. All I remember was having a sinking feeling, a pit in my stomach, knowing somebody, somewhere is going to get it, but not knowing who, how or when.

Then the London trains. Hard to believe they went to the same well again – exact same MO. To this day, if I see the markets getting hammered for no apparent reason, I say a prayer, duck & cover and hope it’s not my day.

            They know – we don’t.

          • TPTB-USA September 1, 2022 at 11:01 am #

Mar-a-Lago is going to make or break the agenda.

Ron Anselmo, do you feel the increase in pulse activity?

Yesterday, Gingrich basically talked about the need for tailors to make jump suits if the republicans win this November. Who will be the first to use the word coup?

Mar-a-Lago renders everything meaningless. Their hope is that their “noise” will out-vote the constitution and the rule of law. I can’t help but think that the majority of judges throughout the world are disgusted by the way the loons in charge are conducting business.

          • Ron Anselmo September 1, 2022 at 12:35 pm #

            @TPTB –

Just my two cents, but I think Mar-a-Lago is theater – a distraction. A thirty-thousand-foot view might confirm that – provides a much bigger picture – more things to ponder.

If you mean Mar-a-Lago affecting the pulse of the markets – that would be typical, news moving the markets – nothing to see there. It’s markets going off a cliff for no apparent reason, followed by news the following day, that indicates prior knowledge.

On Newt, I’ve always liked him, maybe because I’m an amateur herpetologist, but seriously, I think you can seat him next to Ronna McDaniel (see my comment about 10 down thread) – all talk. The Left does not respond to rhetoric or hollow threats. They need to be throat-punched, tracheas crushed, so they can consider their less-than-well-thought-out actions as they take their last breaths.

Lastly, we live in a lawless country already. There is an upper level of the population, above which, the laws do not apply. There is a lower level of the population, below which, the laws do not apply. For those in the middle (read you & me) the laws are only enforced because we are a threat to the system. On the judiciary – you have far more faith in their makeup than I do.

Sorry TPTB, you asked me what time it was, and I told you how they built Big Ben – admittedly a bad habit of mine. Many suffer, ask JHK.

          • TPTB-USA September 1, 2022 at 11:13 pm #

Ron, just my two cents as well.

I feel that social media has moved the role of interpreting the law, from a judge, to public opinion.

If all parties in the Mar-a-Lago document dumpster-dive have no credibility, then all related issues are meaningless. The bigger issue as I see it is that there is no excuse for a dishonest administration, whereas some of Trump’s actions could be justified. So, zipping out to your thirty-thousand-foot view, who are the injured parties? I would argue that the injured parties are those whose vote was stolen, and as Jim pointed out “… so as to prevent it (a cataloged inventory of the FBI lies) from being introduced as evidence in the lawsuit.”.

If the Mar-a-Lago opportunity is tossed into the round file, along with Sidney Powell and the Hunter Biden laptop, then I will assume that my vote will be stolen once again.

As far as my faith in the majority of judges (as well as the population), I cannot believe that the majority support the actions of the loons in the Biden administration. I suspect that I will find out how naive I am within a year.

OK. After thinking about all this, I think Trump is done, and there is a good possibility that the TDS vote will win in November. It seems logical that Biden’s speech today was all about energizing TDS.

I’m always a bit disturbed by the assumption that having your picture taken with someone is an indication that you’re aligned with them in some way. If you’re very rich, you stay at the most expensive resorts, eat at the most expensive restaurants, etc., and you see the same people everywhere you go. That doesn’t mean they’re all your personal and intimate friends.

I grew up in a small town where everyone knew everyone else. If some among us had been secret criminals, everyone in town could have been called their associates, and pictures of them standing next to us at barbecues, parades, school hockey games, etc., would have been ubiquitous. If you’re in the small world of the very rich (or in a small town) you see the same people all the time. The Queen has had her picture taken with half the people in the world, and with rich or influential people all the time. That doesn’t mean she’s a personal friend of any of them.

I don’t think every scientist who took money from Epstein knew what he was – although, obviously, the point at which they did know (as everyone did) marks the point at which they should have cut ties and are culpable if they failed to. I know plenty of people who are personally naive enough to have just thought he was a very rich person with an interest in science. If you didn’t take him up on the invitation to his island, you might not have known until it was public knowledge.

I just hate to see an assumption of wrongdoing on the basis of no more than having stood next to someone at an event.

        • malthuss August 29, 2022 at 1:57 pm #

          Good points, Rowdy.

Also, most scientists are anti-social nerds whose thoughts revolve around esoteric technicalities involving their hyper-specialized fields. They’re easily manipulated and charmed by the worldly and deceptive Epsteins. Naive to the bone.

          • Hereward the Woke August 29, 2022 at 3:36 pm #

Yep. A good example of scientists being led by the nose by an outsider was the Manhattan Project. Oppenheimer et al thought General Leslie Groves was a Neanderthal hick, but he ran circles around them and made sure that any ethical or moral qualms they had stayed inside their heads.

        • Night Owl August 31, 2022 at 4:48 am #

True, not all knew. But many had to have.

“Zorro Ranch” was largely used in Epstein’s own words to breed teenage girls and create a new line of people in his image to populate the earth of the future.

The kind of nuttery the Transhumanists like Schwab and co. push.

There is no way that most of the people giving him money, flying on the Lolita Express, etc., didn’t know at least something.

Ronna McDaniel, Chairwoman of the GOP says – after GOP offices in Florida were vandalized and spray-painted with “Eat Shit Fascists” – “Republicans will not be silenced by cowards – harmful rhetoric & disgusting acts like this will only make us work harder to propel Republicans to victory in November”.

JFC Ronna, yeah, vote harder! The place may burn by November, before you show those bad Democrats. In other words, just more lip service. I’d like to see Ronna McDaniel getting punched in the face by some black-bloc clad Antifa member, while repeating, “Republicans will not be silenced by cowards”, over and over and over.

For heaven’s sake Ronna, don’t defend yourself – or heaven forbid – go on the offensive, just keep repeating the words, that ought to do it.

Wonder why they don’t stop? Because like all predators, they can smell fear, and it triggers their prey drive – like running from a dog.

Time for a throat-punch, and THEN call 911, to see if the first responders can treat an Antifa member with a crushed trachea.

“That may be all for the better. America probably needs a clean sweep of our desecrated political landscape. All in all, Mr. Trump was a good soldier, brave and resolute under tremendous adversity, but he’s not the only one who can lead our country back to itself.”

Yes, I agree. A substantial drop in standard of living or some other wake-up call is going to be needed before this would happen. It needs to be overwhelming. There is too much push back, manipulation & outright fuckery being perpetrated by the permanent bureaucracy (and their Party of Chaos) for anything less than serious public responses.

I won’t say never, but at this point I’m not convinced that DeSantis is one of them.

          As for Trump,

“But he doesn’t have much more time to get it right, …”

I’m with Jim, but I believe that his days are numbered, and don’t give him weeks or months. The Mar-a-Lago raid presented Trump with an opportunity, but with each passing day, it appears that he will not be able to capitalize on the opportunity, and will be tossed into the round file along with Sidney Powell and the Hunter Biden laptop.

      • Hereward the Woke August 29, 2022 at 12:39 pm #

What makes you think DeSantis in DC would have any more success than Trump did? He would still face a massive entrenched bureaucracy, rogue agencies, and worst of all, a corrupt and useless GOP in congress. He should stay in Florida and spearhead the big break up when it comes.

        • Beryl of Oyl August 29, 2022 at 12:52 pm #

Trump will not unite the population, but he is the last hope for mopping-up the blood in DC.

So, after the election there will be an onslaught of Biden mandates, and DeSantis will give DC the middle finger and each state can pick which team they want to join.

        • Night Owl August 31, 2022 at 4:52 am #

DeSantis is a questionable entity anyways. His got a pack of donors that to me suggests he will potentially do little more than accelerate the globocap program.

The thing about Trump is that he was for the most part not backed by the system.

DeSantis has done some good things, but don’t forget that he also pushed the fraudulent science on masks, he locked down, and he generally went along with the greatest hoax in history until he decided he wouldn’t.

          Follow the money. Always.

It seems that it is only prudent for a public official to wait for definitive information prior to taking action that goes against the grain.

At this point I’ll give DeSantis the benefit of doubt, and suspect that he will not hesitate to oppose any Biden administration overreach, but I’ll keep that in mind and watch for criticism in this regard from you.

      Yes, good points.

If anything, things are worse in Canada. It’ll be a tough winter for a lot of people.

I’m off this week to pick thousands of apples and pulling out all the goodies from an acre sized garden. It’s time to start freezing food, canning & the start of general preparation for the winter.

I bought a 1/4 cow from a fella. It came out to 4.38 a pound, gross. So, that’s pretty good.

I need to find that ancient wood stove my great grandfather used, as well. Not sure where that went to.

      • chopper August 29, 2022 at 10:41 am #

Wood and coal stoves are about to come into high demand. A coal furnace in the cellar with hot air registers and coald air returns may no longer be viewed as an anachronism. Watch firewood escelate as people turn to buying bundles at convenience stores rather than firewood by the cord. Coal in your Christmas stocking may take on a new meaning.

        • Woodchuck August 29, 2022 at 11:43 am #

My grandma had a coal furnace in the basement of her old Victorian style mansion that all her grandchildren loved to visit. There was a monster coal furnace in the basement, and one room in the basement was filled with coal. A dump truck load would be emptied into that basement room via a conveyer belt contraption on the rear of the truck. As children, we’d play in the coal pile and come back upstairs with coal dust all over us. The furnace required daily work, removing clinkers out of the firebox early in the morning, and next shoveling coal into a thermostatically controlled hopper that fed coal via a long worm screw into the firebox. The furnace was branded “Iron Fireman”.

On very rare occaisons, this furnace would do what happened on the movie “A Christmas Story”. All of a sudden, a major malfunction would result in clouds of black soot and coal smoke coming out of the registers. With all the fire and coal dust in the basement, it was a wonder the old house never burned down. My grandma had to hire help to keep the furnace running. It required someone each morning to remove clinkers from the firebox and shoveling coal into the hopper. The house is gone now, it was too much of a maintenance nightmare. But the old piles of furnace clinkers in the back yard are still there to this day.

I used to live in front the huge piles of coal waiting to be loaded onto Japanese freighters back in the day on Auckland Hill, Gladstone Queensland.
Day and night shunting the trains forward car my car unloading onto under rail conveyer belts upwards to be dumped onto the very tip of an always moving stockpile.
Any pert of the house that wasn’t continually cleaned was thick layer of coal dust.
We could go and climb the pile and slide down.
            Those were different days.

“None are so blind as those who refuse to see.” And that includes Amy Klobachar and Rob Reiner who refused to acknowledge (even though it’s been exposed as true) that Hunter’s laptop was buried by the FBI prior to the election to protect Biden. Even semi-human Zuckerberg admitted the FBI contacted him to help with censorship.

What will it take to wake people up?

I think what underpins this corruption is the belief that whatever “means” it takes to achieve its “ends” are righteous and perfectly justified. Moral bankruptcy is going to take us down. Every great philosopher warned about this perversion of truth and how it never works in the long run.

Rob Reiner’s meltdowns were the best a few years back.

Only Keith Olbermann and Michael Rappaport had a stronger case of Orange Fever.

Yeah, right? WTF happened to Reiner? He made the great rockumentary of all time, and now he’s just some leftist goon. As for Zuckerberg, he is what we will all look, sound and act like if the transhumanists get their way.

        • MaryQueen August 29, 2022 at 7:35 pm #

I’m starting to wonder because how Zuck acts and looks if they haven’t experimented on him with robot parts etc.

          • SW August 29, 2022 at 7:43 pm #

He looks to me to be a man who is more successful than he dreamed he would ever be but smart enough to know he’s unleashed forces he can’t control but is pretending he can. He struck it lucky and then rich by poaching another’s idea. And his timing was perfect for capitalizing on the boom in the internet.

Zuckerberg is told what to do — that’s obvious — and is scared sh**less of the people he knows are a lot more powerful than he is.

JHK said: Mr.

I HAVE SEEN THIS SORT OF CLAIM FROM MANY QUARTERS FOR YEARS NOW. IF TRUE, WHAT ARE TRUMP AND MANY OF HIS ASSOCIATES WAITING FOR? WHY DON’T THEY JUST GO AHEAD AND GIVE US THE DATA DUMP NOW? LATER WILL BE….TOO LATE.

Also, still waiting on proof of the adverse effects of the vaccines and details on all-cause mortality. Time for all to reveal their cards to make an impact on the mid-terms. It’s almost Sept for cryin’ out loud.

The data is in: There’s a twenty percent increase in all cause mortality in working age people. That’s consistent throughout the West, perhaps more in some places like Israel where the vaccination rate approaches 90%.

Yes, Trump promised us a foot high stack of unclassified documents, but nada was forthcoming. He’s still of defense, trying to avoid jail or worse.

And yet, the question must be asked once again: is Macron wrong? Answer: No.

But hope springs eternal to people say of a certain temperment, so yeah, I get the cheerleading in this space, but to what end?

Exactly what is the counter proposal, that we reach a state of narvanic kumbaya where everyone pulls together in a titanic community effort at recasting our world to prepare for a return to solitary lives that are poor nasty brutish and short?

Yeah right; this is the coming of yet another warlord era, the same type that emerge after every empire collapse. So, who’s the expectant boss, the current crew or new, more motivated groups?

    • Night Owl August 29, 2022 at 10:17 am #

        Yes it will.

        REVELATION 13

1 And I stood upon the sand of the sea, and saw a beast rise up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and upon his horns ten crowns, and upon his heads the name of blasphemy.

2 And the beast which I saw was like unto a leopard, and his feet were as the feet of a bear, and his mouth as the mouth of a lion: and the dragon gave him his power, and his seat, and great authority.

3 And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast.

4 And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?

5 And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months.

6 And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven.

7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

9 If any man have an ear, let him hear.

10 He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

11 And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.

12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.

13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,

14 And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.

15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.

16 And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

17 And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.

        • Woodchuck August 29, 2022 at 10:59 am #

“15 And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”

The image of the beast that has life given unto it is none other than your tv set. Nearly everyone on the planet has one of the goddamned things in their house. And they sit there hour after hour worshipping the damned thing with rapt attention. If the tv tells ya to go get a very dangerous shot or drug, people will follow those instructions.

You can’t take tv’s away from “Christians” without a fight happening – you’re taking their real “god” away from them.

“13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men”. Yeah, that’s what we call “predator drones”.

Something is afoot that I can only describe as Evil. Capitalized. Not the garden variety evil that manifests to satisfy the 7 deadlies. That shit humans do all on their little own without the help of the “beyond”. As I do believe in God, not in A god as in a buffet line of gods to choose from, but simply in God. I also, contrary to much theological disbelief, believe in the combatants that do battle against God. Demons for a simplistic term. But I doubt they appear as the gibbering, horned, fanged, head spinning, pea soup vomiting monsters we’ve seen in movies. No, they are slicker than that. What is going on is just too prevalent, pervasive and transglobal to simply be the odd disaffected group getting the occasional temporary foothold on the collective psyche. People simply do not run like lemmings to the sea collectively saying, Yeah, great, good idea. Let’s totally fuck ourselves while we destroy the entire machinery and fabric of our lives, culture and society. When you set fire to the rooms in your house that only contain your enemies, you are still torching your house. Where do they think their next green bell pepper will come from when they have systematically demonized the entire chain that makes green peppers possible? It will not be just the MAGA fascists that will starve. This goes beyond Soros, Gates, Bezos, Zuckerberg, Bilderberg’s, etc., etc. There is an overarching suggestive presence that is making many people do what they would otherwise, in good sense and conscience, not do. The best way to wrap it up is that scene in The Omen where some nanny at Damien’s birthday party went to the crenelated roof of the mansion and, with a noose around her neck, called out, Damien, it’s all for you. And then jumped off and hanged herself. She wasn’t in possession of her right mind and neither are a good many of us.

Anyone who still thinks a President ( even a good one) can control any of the agencies needs their head examined. The government is run by bureaucrats and private contractors, hidden and untouchable. Cut off the heads of these agencies and the body will sprout another one instantly. This probably has gone on since Ike tried to warn us and ain’t about to change. My local post office branch is a perfect example. The employees there are immune to public complaints and they know it. Only by upsetting their superiors can they get into trouble.

    • Beryl of Oyl August 29, 2022 at 10:28 am #

That’s where a good Karen comes in. we had a bunch of amateurs ruining life during the scamdemic, but a real Karen worthy of the name knows how to upset those superiors.

      • Woodchuck August 29, 2022 at 10:47 am #

That may well happen in the US post collapse. When all of a sudden spoiled, useless, and formerly affluent females are suddenly presented with a new living arrangment. An arrangement requiring the skills of their ancestors that lived a century ago. My guess is that instead of embarking on a crash course of surviving, these females will all start having tantrums and and going full bore with mental breakdowns and hysteria. Yelling, screaming, kicking on the floor – barking mad.

After that, time for the 10 million women march on Washington to try and force things to go back to where they were by going full Karen. Scream, yell, pass out, lay down on highways, whatever it takes to bring back the good life. Mobs of hundreds of thousands of hysterical females wanting blood, storming into state houses and government offices everywhere, torching all the buildings and dragging all the people inside out on the sidewalks and beating them senseless. Storming the capitol, turning everything over, and pissing on it all. Males in law enforcement everywhere running like hell to get away from the harpies.

You ladies up for it? Can you save us guys? We’re still too absorbed with mechanical problems on our mustangs, video games, and finding drugs or beer. We’re too fat to go out and fight.

        • Anthea August 30, 2022 at 3:41 am #

No, actually all those people used to living relatively affluent and privileged lives–those who live in your town or county–will immediately turn their attention to figuring out how to imipose some feudalistic scheme on their local areas, and set themselves up as lords and ladies of the manor.

All your town’s bankers, insurance agents, government employees, and large landowners will band together, declare themselves “the new boss,” and devise a system whereby everyone else becomes one of their serfs or house servants.

The men are not exactly immune to the desire to lead and affluent life: drive a nice car, dine at nice restaurants, drink high quality booze, and–perhaps most importantly–not find themselves in the postion of digging turnips. Do you think your town’s banker is going to plant potatoes, split firewood, haul buckets of water from the well, and milk goats? Um…no. Not any more than his wife plans on doing the family wash by hand in the back yard. You will be doing these chores for him (and her).

Nobody with any sense, either male or female, will storm any government offices. They will set themselves up as the government instead and pay the guys who used to be the cops to enforce it.

    • Woodchuck August 29, 2022 at 10:35 am #

These agencies exist only because they are being paid in dollars. Once the dollar is useful only for internal trade and is rejected everywhere else overseas – then and only then will all the alphabet soup agencies close up shop. The country will be completely bankrupt and unable to pay anyone. People don’t work for free, and especially not people who work for the government.

Mr. Kunstler once wrote that a time will arrive when the federal government will hardly have enough resources to pay people to answer phones. At that point state governments or confederations of state governments will take over the tasks of running things that must be run in order to avoid a complete die off and have maybe only 5% of the population left with the rest all dead from starvation/disease/murder etc.

      • Rhett Dawson August 29, 2022 at 11:07 am #

        Wait. What?

        • SW August 29, 2022 at 11:12 am #

Please, Rhett, take your pills just like the doctor ordered. And if you find yourself believing people answer the phones in government offices, take two.

      • Mac August 29, 2022 at 12:11 pm #

This has always been my position. The centralization of power will go on until the dollar collapses. At that point, assuming we are still armed, we will revert to an Articles of Confederation arrangement. It will be a very painful transition for nearly everyone.

      • Hated American August 29, 2022 at 6:17 pm #

Except state and local gov’ts are corrupt as well. But they would be easier to get rid of, I imagine. Or maybe they will just pack up and leave with their bribe loot.

      • Anthea August 30, 2022 at 4:03 am #

        @ Woodchuck:

Those “state governments or confederations of state governments.” as well as possibly more local governments, will have to figure out what THEY are going to use for money. And they’d better have it figured out in advance.

One time-honored possibility would be to organize an enforcement body of their own (police or military), with the promise of giving them land and territories to rule. In other words, kind of like the Norman Conquest. “Work for me, and you get to be the owner, ruler, and lord of the manor of Lafayette County. You get to charge rent to all who live there and enact whatever taxes on them that you see fit.” An attractive deal.

    • workingclasshero August 29, 2022 at 5:16 pm #

You’re correct of course, Innumerable Chamber of commerce offshoots, Wall Street lobbyists, Atlantic Council and Council on Foreign Relations to name some of the most notable. If your dream team President and administration isn’t vetted by those power centers, then their nation saving program will go nowhere. That’s why Trump was constricted in what he could do in actual practice and was left to just talk and tweet a good game.

It’s the desperation of people who think he’s going to save them and that there is no one else. I’m grateful for the things he did, some of which very directly benefitted me and made a real difference in my life. I see his flaws, and saw them at the time. He’s not a god, just a human being, and he’s up against something bigger and more deeply entrenched than I think we can even imagine. He acquitted himself far better than expected. I don’t know if he still has a role to play but, whatever he does from this point on, that still stands.

        • Anthea August 30, 2022 at 9:36 am #

          @ Rowdypiglet:

Early in the Trump administration–and even during the Trump campaign–I felt that the way he exposed the MSM was such an important service to the country that he almost didn’t need to do anything else to go down in history. It’s hard to recall now, but it was a very big thing at the time.

A lot of us knew for years to automatically view anything coming from the MSM as a lie, but a lot of people didn’t, or didn’t allow themselves to know that. Somebody–some public figure–had to say it out loud for it to enter into the public consciousness. And it did, in a big way. The MSM’s lost viewership shows how much credibility they have lost.

A.H. stated repeatedly his main mission was the extirpation of Marxism in Germany and any European state that threatened Germany from without with imported Marxism (the Soviet Union).
He could have easily won the conflict in Europe had he not been such a hardcore Nationalist and allowed Poland, Ukraine and liberated Russia national sovereignty. I’ve read that he had to exploit conquered Europe until he could defeat the Anglo- American counteroffensive.

wch – have you seen the recent debate suggesting that the molotov – ribbentrop non-agression pact between soviet russia and germany was actually likely to be violated by russia first – there were attack formations on the border, and a.h. pivoted from england to hit soviets preemptively in 1941?

Guy, wasn’t Der Vaterland going seriously bust around 1937? I read that a number of its trading partners were turning their backs on the Reich. You can run your SS around killing people right and left but that’s not going to bring in vital imports.

War – invasion in particular – was the only choice left by 1939. I’ve done a bit of reading on that era of history and most of the western world was still weak and wobbly from the Depression.

I and others have posted on this particular issue before, but this article gives a good overview/summary of how this was a Bush operation from the beginning.

How Dick Cheney created Anthony Fauci

    https://unherd.com/2022/08/how-dick-cheney-created-anthony-fauci/?=frlh

Someone here talked about pattern recognition a while back. That’s one of the things that astounded me at the beginning of the scamdemic, the fact that we’d seen all this before and nobody seemed to remember.

    • Disaffected August 29, 2022 at 10:59 am #

Another reason to doubt that the current regime can be overthrown. You have unelected appointed czars of dark ops projects like these who have run hog wild with no oversight whatsoever and unlimited off-budget funding these past many years who have set themselves up as Chieftains in their own right. How do you get rid of someone like Fauci when you literally have no idea whatsoever of the massive and lasting damage he could unleash if he went on the warpath? We quite literally have a government that’s spun completely out of control, even among the so-called insiders.

Any prospective civil war 2.0 would almost certainly involve multiple factions employing all the worst of the recent technological advances that they themselves are the sole experts in. Just imagine the conversations that might have taken place between Fauci and Trump about his prospective firing.

      • Woodchuck August 29, 2022 at 11:19 am #

The current regime will last as long as the dollar is accepted in international trade. Once that’s no longer the case the USA will be forced to live within its means, and that means living without

        imported oil
        imported cars
        imported clothing
        imported shoes
        imported car parts
imported furniture, toys, pots and pans etc. etc.
        imported drugs
        imported food
        imported machines and machine parts
        etc. etc. etc.

Since we don’t know how to live without all the above items, and can’t produce these things ourselves, chaos will result. The sort of chaos never before seen in history, and bad enough that the rest of the world will watch in amazement and begin making different plans. They’ll see the final outcome of the fossil fuel lifestyle and they might make plans to change course, not wanting to end up where we in the West are heading.

        • Rhett Dawson August 29, 2022 at 11:52 am #

          Whatdya mean, “we,” white man?

This US Petro-Dollar implosion/explosion is not “the West.”

We’ve always had real currencies with non-record-setting trade imbalances. We always had to. We never had well-suited armies on Wall Street looting all real global economic activity in one protected con game after another. We never had the ability to ‘print’ as many ‘world reserve currency’ as we liked.

This one is not “we,” my neighbour. The collapse of the US$ is all about “you.”

          • Woodchuck August 29, 2022 at 12:14 pm #

You don’t live in the US? Collapse won’t affect “you” but it will affect me? Not sure what you are getting at.

Since everyone is getting religious, let’s imagine what will happen when Russia becomes the most successful, prosperous, and comfortable nation on the planet all while having a state sponsored church, the Russian Orthodox.

This is NOT going to sit well to have the tables turned suddenly. Instead of the USA being the place everyone wishes to live – it becomes Russia instead. A complete reverse of the former Cold War situation. Russia becomes a Christian beacon of light and one of the few countries left with a huge amount of yet unexploited natural resources. Her citizens for the first time enjoy a bit of consumer goods they couldn’t have under communism.

And Europe and the USA become hopelessly balkanized third world nations filled with still delusional people thinking they’ll get out of this mess by worshipping satan. Russia becomes more and more Christian and prosperous, and the “West” becomes more satanic and confused. Confused because satan never delivered the goods promised and since Jesus or God is out of the question, they’ll be hunting around for new gods.

One god the “West” has created in recent decades is the “health care god”. Faith was transferred from God and over to the medical industrial complex. “Medicine” regards us as biological machines that can be tampered with and parts changed out using the same basic procedures used by auto mechanics. Our notions of reality are all crap, but since we call it “science” – then we can claim to be on the high ground. “Science” is one of the new gods we’ve created for ourselves, and people like Fauci or “climate scientists” are part of the corrupt priesthood.

Only acceptance of this responsibility will give anyone the hope that he will not repeat the mistakes of the first 4 years: supporting SA in Yemen; withdrawing from JCPOA; appointing multiple creatures like Mike Pompeo, John Bolton, Gina Haspel, James Jeffrey and allowing them to undermine his stated foreign policy of non-intervention; “taking” Syria’s oil; killing diplomatic envoys (Suleimani); bombing Syria with the flimsiest of excuses; buying into the UK’s Skripal nonsense; attempting to choose the President of Venezuela; approving a coup in Bolivia.

That he created only a fraction of the problems Joe Biden created in half the time in office is faint praise indeed.

I hope you agnostics and atheists note that this blog has taken a very interesting turn toward the spiritual: I suggest you read Acts Chapter 26 in its entirety Here’s the salient verses:

. 24At this stage of Paul’s defense, Festus exclaimed in a loud voice, “You are insane, Paul! Your great learning is driving you to madness!”

25But Paul answered, “I am not insane, most excellent Festus; I am speaking words of truth and sobriety. 26For the king knows about these matters, and I can speak freely to him. I am confident that none of this has escaped his notice, because it was not done in a corner. 27King Agrippa, do you believe the prophets? I know you do.”

28Then Agrippa said to Paul, “Can you persuade me in such a short time to become a Christian?”

    • Beryl of Oyl August 29, 2022 at 11:20 am #

Speaking of the spiritual, a short while back I was seeing a lot of stuff about Secretariat around the internet, I guess there was some sort of anniversary or something.

One particular clip I was directed to affected me profoundly. Due to the poor quality of the audio, I could not make out the statement, but the scene had a religious quality to it.

I had never seen the actual film.

In looking up the words used, I found out that they were excerpts from the book of Job, 39: 21-25, and the movie was Christian in nature by design.

This is what Disney was capable of in it’s heyday, and still capable of in 2010, and look how far they’ve fallen; look how far we’ve fallen.

To be able to depict the religion in a visual medium, to show something you can’t see.

The actual quote from the movie is this:

“In frenzied excitement, he eats up the ground. He paws fiercely, rejoicing in his strength and charges into the fray, afraid of nothing, when the trumpet sounds.”

Wait for it at about the 1:02 mark. Wow, just wow.

So, what are the differences between Marxism and Fascism again?

  22. Rhett Dawson August 29, 2022 at 11:31 am #

This is from Dr Meryl Nass:

“1. Multiple papers now suggest that COVID mRNA vaccines impair not just immunity to COVID, but immunity and immune surveillance overall.

The implication is that the vaxxed are more susceptible to a variety of infections, and perhaps also to cancer. Immune surveillance is what identifies cancer cells and kills them before they can proliferate.

So, you are vaccinated. The implications of this information are too frightening to be allowed into consciousness. You don’t need the external censors to suppress this knowledge; you do it automatically with your built-in defense mechanisms.

    2. Data from multiple countries now shows that all cause mortality (deaths from everything) are higher in the vaccinated.

This is just as scary, if not more so, than an increased risk of serious infections and cancer. You deny and/or suppress this information, because it simply cannot be allowed to be true.

    3. You vaccinated your child. This may have impaired their fertility, increased the cancer risk, etc. etc. etc.

Of all pieces of information that absolutely cannot be allowed to enter your consciousness, let alone be openly discussed in polite company, this one tops all. So you will simply refuse to allow mention of it. Friends whose conversations veer off in this direction must be obliterated. Requiring that all family members and friends be vaccinated protects you from facing those for whom this discussion does not trigger the existential and uncontrollable pain it does for the vaccinated.

And Voila–you have a controlled and cowed population who have become their own thought police.”

That’s about the size of it, Rhett. We knew early on about the wandering spike proteins, myocarditis and ADE. Now we know that the vaxx is attacking the second line of defence, the killer T cells. Most of the sheep who spent 2 years in paranoid fear of catching a virus don’t realize that our bodies are already chock full of viruses, bacteria and other nasties, and that only those T cells keep them in order. But never mind, what’s on the TV tonight?

    • neurodoc August 29, 2022 at 3:23 pm #

Regarding point #1; the immune system includes various types of cells which attack ‘foreign’ cells (inc. T cells and Killer T cells which directly attack, and B cells which make antibodies which attack and some which mark ‘foreign’ cells). Thus the system includes cells which attack and kill and those which detect and target/mark ‘foreign’ antigens (fr. viruses, bacteria and cancers) on cell surfaces. The s1 glycoproteins produced by the mRNA clot shot attack and disable ALL components of the immune system, resulting in DRAMATICALLY increased susceptibility to all infections and cancers. And, as we all now know, S1 proteins cause inflammatory pathology in cardiac, kidney, circulatory, brain, and lung tissues.

But, as most, either ignorant or corrupted, physicians seem to know, the above is bullshit and otherwise healthy people are dropping dead of the mysterious disease called SADs, NOT the vax. Move along, nothing to see here, its all normal. ‘Safe and effective.’

      • justanotherguy August 29, 2022 at 5:03 pm #

earlier reading also suggested that those proteins targeted ACE2 receptors generally, some of which appear in reproductive organs, suggesting further that another effect would be reproductive problems, which have been seen and documented now.

The 3rd Amendment has been a kind of joke in modern times; after all, why would the government ever quarter soldiers in private homes. It sounds ridiculous, altho it did come into question during the Civil War when Federal troops occupied Plantations in the South, and billeted troops there. Why do I bring it up? I’m reading about a move in certain segments of the govt, that would require homeowners to take illegal aliens into their homes, give them a place to live until they got on their feet. Of course you’d be paid a stipend every month — and think of the cultural enrichment!

I’m reminded of the scene in Dr. Zhivago when the Proles move into upper class houses uninvited and take them over.

Would the 3rd amendment protect citizens from this?

True, with the questioning of the right to private property. But they have had a practice run in the UK, with the Ukrainian refugee programme, whereby people take in some Ukrainian refugees in exchange for £350 and the chance to do some serious virtue signalling.

One couple with two young children took in a young woman of about 21 or 22. The man chose her and invited her (hmmm – what could possibly go wrong?) After a mere 10 days, Miss Ukraine and the bloke hopped it to live in loved-up bliss somewhere else and left the woman with the children. True luuuurve it was, apparently.

This was raised by the city council of Portland, Maine – which city is now overrun with woke dimwits. They were entertaining the idea of “requisitioning” those “extra rooms that you don’t need” for the many Somalis they continue inviting to come and form predatory gangs and “enrich” our surroundings.

The previous governor, LePage (who got the usual treatment from the press) tried to put a stop to this by refusing to let Portland use Section 8 funds to house illegals, as actual legal citizens had spent years on waiting lists to get housing. They tried some kind of scheme to divert the funds to their Somali pets, but LePage refused to release the money.

Maine is very typical of a red state with blue cities. After they succeeded in getting rid of LePage, thanks to giving him the Trump treatment, they installed one of their shills in the governor’s mansion (Janet Mills, who hoped to keep the Covid scam going forever). Now, as before every lawn in rural Maine has a LePage sign, but they’ve imported enough Democrat voters to likely keep him from ever occupying the governor’s mansion again.

The rubes on the Portland, ME need to get with the times and use the proper term for, “extra rooms that people don’t need.”

The approved Woke terminology is now, “overhoused.”

        An example usage is,

“People who own a vacation cottage and primary residence are overhoused.”

You, the wife and kids … along with you’re ‘Guest Family’, from Honduras, Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan it doesn’t matter, you get the picture — Mustafa, his 3 wives & 14 kids, sit around your living room Saturday after noon watching Midget Wresting (this week it’s a 30 midget no-holds-barred melee) — make up a batch of popcorn! You watch with satisfaction as the Hussein family, all 18 of them, immerse themselves in American culture. Of course, quarters are a little tight in the house, what with 23 people under one roof, and only 2 bathrooms. You’re not complaining tho — the extra $1000 per month comes in handy, and you remember what happened to the Jackson family down the street when they complained … accused of racism, being ‘over housed’ and selfish, they disappeared one night, and the ‘Honored Guests’ have the Jackson place all to themselves.

It’s always amazing to see the numbers of people out there that fail to see the world “socialist” as in the well known actual name of the Nazi party – National ***Socialist*** German Workers Party. How is it that word “socialist” in there is always overlooked. Socialists everywhere will disclaim Hitler as having been one of their own offspring. And they will work hard re-writing history in such a way as to black out any discussion or evidence as to how the Nazis had adopted socialist ideas into their political platforms.

At the time when the Nazis were involved in street battles against commie political opponents in Munich, it was basically Socialism vs. Communism fighting it out on public stages in Munich beer halls, and later in the streets. Commies were heckling Hitler, and you don’t do that – nobody heckles Hitler. His newly formed Brown Shirts were his anti-heckler partrol – they’d find you and fight you right there. Essentially two different sects of Jacobins fighting among themselves like the Catholics and Protestants once did. After the fall of Berlin, the commies could proudly claim to be the winners.

      • Jarek August 29, 2022 at 1:49 pm #

Yes, the Left call National Socialism right wing, and the Right call it Leftism. It is neither, nor the uneasy midpoint of Liberal Socialism. It is another line altogether.

If it was Socialism as you aver, why is it so pro-Nation, pro-Culture, and pro-German? Is any Marxist Socialism like this? Obviously not. That’s because it’s not Marxism or any other economic system of government. It’s another line completely. It’s about Man, not Matter. Human wellbeing first and foremost, not individual or even collective profit.

        • Woodchuck August 29, 2022 at 2:11 pm #

It was *National* socialism. Socialism done German style. No slackers allowed. If you were able bodied and not working, someone with a gun from the German gov’t might show up at your home with instructions as to where to go to show up for your new job. If you didn’t show, the dude would be back again – with reinforcements. It, after all, was a “Workers” party!

          • Jarek August 29, 2022 at 2:25 pm #

Now you’re focusing on the salient point. Both Capitalism and Communism are international, money being no respecter of borders or nations. And since the former funded the latter, it is in essence, one system.

Thus Nationalism fought against the Beast of International Capital and their paid mercenaries of Communism. Baron Rothschild used to meet Trotsky for brunch and chess in the years before the Revolution.

Is it coming into focus now? America doomed itself by tying its boat to Capitalism. Jefferson for one seemed to know that.

Fascism and National Socialism were the white blood cells that arose to fight for Western Civilization against this threat. But Boobus Americanus was too dim to realize that.

As far as Economics itself, Nazi Germany had a short but stellar outing, some calling it a miracle. No more debt based currency and parasite International Bankers. Driven out. The Land and People flowered. They had to be destroyed before others copied them. So they were.

Briefly (and I’m no expert), since they are above both systems, they felt themselves free to use both – and traditional or pre-Industrial methods as well when appropriate. But they were under no quaint illusions. They had to be a great industrial power or be destroyed by the Enemy. They needed more time to make that happen. The Enemy was wise and didn’t give it to them.

          • Jarek August 29, 2022 at 2:34 pm #

Oh and btw, I admit that in its early and mid stages, Capitalism helped to build up America and the other Western nations as well. But it’s Step Father, Banking, was always international to the extent possible (more so in Ancient Rome and then less in Medieval Europe). It helped Capitalism to grow up, impatiently waiting, always dreaming of an International Order by which Capitalism would deliver to them rulership of the world. And so it all but has.

Putin pretended to be friends with the Oligarchs before he crushed them. You still don’t understand politics. It is the art of the possible.

We wouldn’t help Franco, so he accepted help from Nazi Germany – whose ideology he rejected, staunch Catholics that he was.

            Was he a stooge?

          • Jarek August 31, 2022 at 11:47 am #

An appeal to your degree? Instead of rebutting the substance of my response?
            Your weakest post ever.

            You started this with this:
All the games are played at a higher level than even you think. I thought you knew this before I did.

You flashed your red cape at the bull, now you have gotten the horns.

          • GreenAlba August 31, 2022 at 8:17 pm #

I didn’t appeal to my degree, except to make a justifiably sarcastic response to your patronising assertion that I don’t know anything about politics. I don’t claim to be any kind of historian. But I still think Hitler was a stooge. The people behind it all very much like to see millions massacred and don’t much care about the particular philosophy of the people doing the massacring. In my not very valuable opinion.

I don’t have to rebut your points about Putin and Franco, because I never argued their opposite.

Personally I have always liked Bernard Crick’s definition of politics, but it is politics as against politicking the way ‘un homme politique is not the same thing as un politicien.

‘Politics is the public actions of free men; freedom is privacy from public actions’.

It comes from his book, ‘In Defence of Politics’. It is a view which considers that a lot of what people call politics isn’t politics at all. So you don’t get politics in a dictatorship, whether fascist, communist or just plain authoritarian – or indeed in a technocracy.

Obviously if you’re talking pragmatism rather than idealism, you have to give a name to private machinations with public consequences, so ‘politics’ gets co-opted (I take the blame for that sentence – it’s nothing to do with Sir Bernard).

I take it you will have no truck with the notion of a Fourth Theory, then? For you, it’s Third Way all the way.

Admittedly the details of the Fourth Theory are still, perhaps deliberately, hazy. Still in the testing, dreaming, blue-skies phase and all that. And the whole motley business smells a little too strongly of postmodern chaos-magic.

But remember, murdered or not (and it was, no doubt), the Third Way was hardly less permeated with the Modern Disease than the liberal or its commie foil. How would one really hope to transition Fascism away from its deep addiction to Technique, to Progress, to biologism?

“Man, not Matter”? Are you sure? Der Fuhrer was practically *addicted to technology and progression, after all. Whether it was the exorbitant hopes of Wunderwaffe, the extensive technological and scientistic engineering of society, or even the technical mastery of mass death, old Adolf was scarcely less happy than *der Schwabenklaus* to welcome the Borg-mindset into the marrow of German society. (As well as into his own body–if the reports of him being on huge numbers of medications are correct.)

Yes, a real *modern leader. How he despised the tried/tired, the traditional, whether it was the aristocratic grumblings of the Junkers or the “sentimentality” of Christianity! Memorization of weapons production-figures, in swelling quantity, endless variation and extreme detail, was much more to his liking. And for all this, his power depended essentially on that vilest of technological zombies–the propaganda-addled mass-mind.

I have thought the Third Way might be “rapid cooled” into some truly stable and traditional form, likely Monarchy, but the more I look at it the more extreme it seems the refrigeration equipment would have to be–larger than the State itself, in all probability. (Perhaps global cooling could yet accomplish it…?)

Your imagery is pretty. But you are just a shade too eager to take a flying leap off your High Middle, imho.

Yes, pretty totalitarian. A War of Extinction will do that in any case. One can hope it would have loosened up quite a bit after the war if they had managed to hold on.

We are not only saying goodbye to summer. We are saying goodbye to Western Civ in its entirety. A much quicker good-bye than many thought possible. “This raises the question, though, as to which is more politically damaging: inflation or depression?”

This is for economic theorists to decide while sipping overpriced coffee in laid-back academic surroundings in fancy buildings after they have fully washed themselves in guilt for having White Privilege. Yes, even the minority members of the group have to beat themselves up for sins that may have occurred generations ago that they had nothing to do with.

Once that guilt bathing fest is done, they can get on to the inflation vs. depression question.

And every once in a while look out their windows at the American people down on the dirty streets below them who are fighting each other for the last loaf of stale bread for the bargain price of $1,000 USA New World Order Digi Dollars. Time for another sip of overpriced designed coffee. And more guilt.

once, i tried to understand how inflation / deflation could be happening at the same time.

the simple but comprehensively descriptive (because those robbing us will use lawfare to arrange it) is:

everything you own will gradually become worthless or lose value or be impossible to market, while everything you need will become more expensive, rarer, or be offered in exchange for your freedom.

      economics for the common man.

I once tried to understand how we Americans, for so long a time, failed to recognize that we are the bad guys.

        • Roundball Shaman August 29, 2022 at 7:35 pm #

“I once tried to understand how we Americans, for so long a time, failed to recognize that we are the bad guys.”

No one wants to believe that They are the bad guys. Not any
BAD GUYS, of which there are many.

People have a deep need to wrap themselves in righteousness… that is, being ‘right’ all the time. People can’t stand the thought or feeling of ‘not’ being right. That’s one reason why people will double and triple down on bad ideas they promoted because they do not want to make it look like they were ever in error. People believe that is a sign of weakness (even though to admit error is actually a sign of strength and integrity).

And when you add the dimension of ‘America’ to this ‘people need to be right’ aspect… being The Good Guys has been assumed to be in the DNA of America since its foundation. Most of the World learned long ago that this notion was horse manure, but not in the Indispensable Nation. ‘We’re An Empire Now – We Make Reality’. Manifest Destiny. The Christian Nation. ‘God is On Our Side’. ‘You’re Either With Us or Against Us’. ‘Our Way Of Life Is Not Negotiable’. The Pledge of Allegiance. Flyovers at football games of very expensive flying machines that dispense massive death and destruction.
Singing the National Anthem before every sporting event (why the hell are we singing a national anthem before a sporting event? Oh yeah, the mental conditioning).

every been in the position of not being able to feed your family? i’ve personally made compromises i regret – like signing up for selective service in 1983 or no college.

and plenty of people enter the military with noble aims. i come from a military family myself. its called a tradition of service, and it comes from a personal sense of duty and honor. these are qualities that are not to be regretted, but many young people don’t get a clue until they’ve had personal experience of how the military is misused.

when i was a young man, i had more trouble than i care to speak of questioning vietnam in the company of men in my family who fought in ww2.

these hate america first sentiments are simple, one dimensional, and wrong.

As blessed Camille said, they’d ball be living in mud huts but for men. And those like Karen should be made to do so until they amend their ways.

        • Roundball Shaman August 31, 2022 at 2:55 pm #

Karen: “I once tried to understand how we Americans, for so long a time, failed to recognize that we are the bad guys.”

We need to define ‘we Americans’. If we are speaking of true American people who are trying valiantly to retain what’s left of the American spirit of independence and freedom from government intrusion… then ‘we’ are not the bad guys. There are plenty of good and decent Americans still. Most people just want to live their lives in peace and to be largely left alone. There are no bad intentions in that. The Good guys.

But if ‘we Americans’ means all those many today who have been installed into positions of power and influence and who are largely doing everything they can right now to destroy and erase that true American spirit of independence and freedom from government intrusion… then ‘we’ (as They) are certainly NOT the good guys.

And we also need to define what ‘freedom’ means today.

Currently, we have the ‘freedom’ to have all our communications monitored and bugged. We have the ‘freedom’ to have a deal of our wages and wealth taken by others before it even gets to us. We have the ‘freedom’ to watch all of our rights being eroded and taken away. Many of us have the ‘freedom’ to be repeatedly punctured by toxic injections and for many of those people without their true consent. We have the ‘freedom’ to witness Marxist and social-engineering curriculums taking root in our schools. We have the freedom to have our private body areas scrutinized by people we normally wouldn’t’‘t want to get within 50 feet of.

With rampant inflation, we have the ‘freedom’ to see what’s left of our wealth being eroded with every waking minute. We have the ‘freedom’ to watch America become embroiled in World conflicts all over the Globe. And we have the ‘freedom’ to see our very right of free speech being cancelled and demonized as something dangerous by those who seek to have total control over the narratives of life… as well as over our very own thoughts.

Trying to identify good and bad guys? We have lots and lots of people with varying shades of grey. It’s better to look at one’s intentions to separate the ‘good’ from the ‘bad’.

I think that is what stagflation is called.

“persistent high inflation combined with high unemployment and stagnant demand in a country’s economy.”

      • Anthea August 30, 2022 at 12:21 pm #

        @ justanoherguy:

I don’t understand inflation/deflation at the same time either.

What I’ve seen over the years is how the cost of a number of things has become ever-more-wildly inflated; mainly housing, medical care, and education. Also things like car insurance and, more recently, cars. Another form of expense that has proliferated over the decades is requirements for business and profesional licensing and certifications.

If you think about it, you realize that most of these inflated costs are a form of taxation. Where does the money from the inflated cost of housing go? Mainly to the banks who write the loans (though many other people get a piece). The same is true of student loans and auto loans. Medical care/medical insurance costs are explicitly a tax.

The underlying purpose seems to be to make everything so expensive that it must be financed; no paying out-of-pocket. Thus, the banks get a BIG piece of any large transaction. They also get a piece of every small transaction in the form of credit card fees and the fees they collect on EBT cards.

Basically, you have a situation in which the banks are allowed to tax people–plus every possible method is in place to force people to resort to borrowing to meet their everyday needs.

I suppose in a way you could say that we already “own nothing,” since it’s all paid for by borrowing.

Did you ever ask yourself how much of the earned income in your town is being siphoned off to the Hamptons? Almost everybody on your block has a mortgage, and for the first few years of any mortgage loan, the lion’s share of the house payment goes towards interest. This means that everybody you know who has not “owned” their home for more than five years is sending a check to the Hamptons every month. (And it’s a rather large one.) Unless they’ve “owned” their home more than ten years, a pretty big chunk of every house payment is still going towards interest.

Maybe your neighbors also have student loans and car payments: more taxes payable to the banks.

I think many people don’t realize that housing used to be pretty affordable, and building codes did not prohibit people from building their own home. Cars used to be far less expensive. College used to be cheap. (My college tuition was about $12/semester.) In the 1950s, people paid for medical care and prescriptions out-of-pocket. They were cheap.

Everything has been deliberately made very expensive, and in most cases this was caused by legislation.

way too many unproductive “middlemen” in the economy – everybody in the admin chain gets their crumbs, and adds nothing but red tape.

in the mean time, productive people are gaslighted as redneck, low class, working men, farmers, builders, plumbers, bulk food processors, etc. but these are the people responsible for *all* of the real things for sale. and these people trend poorer and poorer.

fewer people producing, more people claiming a share based on nothing tangible, and a gov’t that prints out of thin air to benefit the connected class.

= rising prices and less to buy.

“It may be too late for the medical profession to redeem its lost sacred honor.”

A few physician in my area, based on direct conversations and what patients tell me, have actually obtained insight in the fake vaxx and its purpose. However, the majority are in complete denial, and believe in the total bullshit concept of Sudden Adult Death (SAD) syndrome among the ‘vaxxed’ that drop dead. In order to regaining said honor, the majority of physicians will need to admit they were wrong, duped or otherwise misguided about the ‘vax.’ I predict that very few will do that given the authoritarian personality of most physicians, a trait that they will hopefully take with them to the gallows of the Nuremberg 2 trials, if they occur.

Re Nuremberg2, it is being reported that the US Supreme Court has ruled on the lawsuit by Robert Kennedy Jr, and stated that his claims of injury and death from the ‘vax’ are accurate and actionable due to fraud. Such a ruling by SCOTUS could set the stage for Nuremberg2. That actually gives me some, not much, but some hope in the face of all the corruption out there.

In case anyone here suffers from gout, here’s a story on that:

My ex has suffered from gout for around 20 years. It has gotten progressively worse. He used to be able to at least temporarily cure it by eating less meat and drinking cherry juice. He tried prescription medication, but the side effects were VERY bad–nearly put him in a coma.

He recently saw a doctor about it, who wanted him to have X-rays and prescribed antibiotics. (Apparently this is what the insurance flow-chart dictates nowadays.) He was displeased by this approach, so he went to a Chinese practitioner of some kind. The Chinese practitioner told him to take calcium/magnesium supplements. (These must be taken with calcium and magnesium in the correct proportions.) He said this has cured his gout.

Now, this seems a little weird to me. The Chinese practitioner said that calcium/magnesium would “alkalize” his body–another new one on me. But it’s interesting–and harmless–so worth a try.

In case anyone here suffers from gout, – Anthea

        ===============

I have suffered maybe a half dozen flair ups of gout in the past 5 or 6 years. Its VERY painful and almost always, but not necessarily, involves the big toe. Also, in my case at least, it only happens with one foot, not both at the same time. There is also major swelling. If you’re in bed and your top sheet so much as rubs a little against your big toe it hurts like a bitch.

Bear with me, I’m going to tell you about the cure but I’m going to get to it the long way around.

On my first flair up I had no idea what it was. It involved my foot so I made an appointment with a podiatrist. I parked my car and hobbled with great pain across the lot and into the docs office. As usual I had to sit with a nurse and tell her my tale of woe instead of telling my tale directly to the doctor. It turns out he was in the adjacent room and heard our conversation. He then barged in and said “you have gout.” He gave me a prescription for a med and said if that didn’t work we would go to Plan B. I think the medical profession wants to first try something that almost never works before they prescribe the med that almost always works because that magic cure is a steroid and God forbid they should get you hooked on steroids.

After two failed Rxes they gave up and went to the steroid. It is called Prednisone. (I am reminded of this scenario: you have a bad headache. You go to the drugstore and pick up a bottle labeled Extra Strength Tylenol. You go to the druggist and ask if they have the regular stuff, the stuff that is not Extra Strength. This is beyond absurd. Does J&J actually produce any version of Tylenol that is not Extra Strength?? and who are the idiots that demand it??)

But I digress. I know all about the foods that one is supposed to avoid such as shellfish like shrimp, and all the foods you are supposed to go heavy on such as cherry juice. The problem is you never know for sure what has caused you NOT to have a flair up for a year… and then like a bolt from the blue you get a NEW flair up. Was it cherry juice that was keeping you gout-free? Who knows?

So getting back to Prednisone, the magic cure… here is what they typically do: The doc prescribes 30 pills to be taken over a ten day period as follows 5, 5, 4, 4, 3, 3, 2, 2, 1, 1. In my case the pain and swelling subsided during the second or third day.

Six months or a year later I had my next flair up. I told my PCP not to bother with all the preliminary Rx BS and go straight to the Prednisone. It works like a charm. In fact this time the moment the pain and swelling subsided I stopped taking the pills and just hoarded them away for the next flair up.

A couple of months ago I had an extremely painful flair up that involved only my ankle. My wife said it looks like gout to me. I was skeptical since it didn’t involve the big toe but I went straight for my stash of illicit Prednisone. I now sometimes refer to my wife as Mrs Doctor Shtik.

          flare up

        • benr August 31, 2022 at 10:37 am #

Got in most cases is caused by dehydration.
Crazy as it sounds drink 1 ounce of water per ten pounds of body weight which is almost impossible for a 200 pound human but do try.

Everyone’s bodies are different but there are some things beyond dehydration that cause me to have flare ups.
          Too much beer or alcohol.
Working out to hard and building up lactic acid even when I am 100% sure not to be dehydrated.
SUGAR sodas to be specific to much sugar will always cause someone prone to gout to have a flare up.
Red meat in my case Beef.
          Some seafoods.
The worst one is sugar avoid it like the plague.
Mushrooms can also cause gout as well as asparagus and spinach.
Purine rich foods and your bodies in ability to process the purines properly.
Last black tea I drink too much and bam I get it bad.
Avoid stuff with natural sugars that are not also packed with fiber.
Gout crystals can form in any joint or even soft tissue I had a friend that got gouty crystals in his eyes.

Some things to eat to avoid gout.
          Pineapple
Celery as much as you can stand.
Drink a lot of water and in between make a tea from corn silk and celery seed which will help expel the water.
          Tumeric tea with black pepper.
          Black coffee
distilled water but be careful as that can also leach out important minerals.

I will try the calcium and magnesium pills.

I have also been taking 400mg’s allopurinol which also help alkilize the body.
At the first inkling of a gout attack I take a couple of colchicine tabs but they are really hard on your body.
The steroids you are taking are also hard on your kidneys.

        • Anthea August 31, 2022 at 11:11 pm #

Prednisone may be what the ex was prescribed that caused the serious side-effects. His present wife is a retired nurse who is very familiar with medications.

For all I know, Prednisone might be quite innocuous. But I had to stop taking Meloxicam (for arthritis) after I figured out that that was why I was itching all over as if I had scabies. (I started on it in spring, so for a long time I assumed we were having a bad year for chiggers, or wondered if I had bed bugs or if I was allergic to my laundry detergent. Anyway, I stopped taking the Meloxicam and the itching went away, though I still have some spots that seem reluctant to heal.

I’m also finding that drinking tonic water (with apple cider vinegar in it) works about as well as the Meloxicam. I like tonic water, but it takes quite a bit for it to work–as in, quite a bit every day. A pill would be easier.

Bible thumpers and atheist liberals will show up, Hitler discussion will appear, and trolls will be out chummin’ the waters. Seeing if they can get a fish to rise to the surface and respond to some bait they’re trolling behind their boats.

One thing that can happens is trolls setting up sock puppet accounts and coming in under multiple different names and accounts. If you are in a religious or political forum, and understand both sides of an argument very well – you can set up two different “sock puppet” accounts getting into heated arguments and more people getting upset and drawn into the argument started by some joker who thinks its funny. Hilarious to get people started up in the same way people get rooster or dog fights started. Deliberately provoke both sides and fool them as to the source of the trouble.

I once saw some game roosters a friend had – roosters who would fight their reflection in a mirror day after day and never get it figured out. They also fought each other a lot, running around loose in a barnyard and doing their rooster routine.

But he doesn’t have much more time to get it right, or else his political career will be over well before the 2024 election”.

Nonsense. Let’s not forget the pressure put on this man who at the time was actually being solely blamed for the pandemic, even while putting up with Deep State Russian collusion accusations, impeachment proceedings etc. All this as he made sure we still had food on the table and the resources we needed to maintain a quality of life. He was excoriated for everything he did, including boldly suggesting affordable and effective treatments like HCQ and Ivermectin. With body bags piling up because of misguided CDC treatment protocols and the media daily whipping up fear porn hysteria, Trump, always a man of action, did what he did in good faith. He tried to get something done to help because that’s who he is. He’s not going to admit any culpability over this, nor should he. He has never been about forcing this jab down anyone’s throat. And please note he’s not mentioned “the vaccine” in his last several speeches and rallies.

Yes, he still appears to be misguided about the horrors of the jab, but most jab true believers don’t wake up until someone in their close circle keels over. If then.

It’s past time to stop beating up on President Trump about the vaccine and demanding more from him on that score than he’s already done. At least by those who voted for him. We know he’ll soon have to find a way to defend himself from the inevitable charges on the Left that Trump is solely responsible for the vaccine holocaust.

It’s also past time for people everywhere to stop having this naive and child like faith in the medical industrial complex. Trump is just as naive about “medicine” as is the rest of the nation. Our “health care” industry does just as much harm as good, so the net effect of all it’s activities is a big fat zero. All while it consumes some 20% of our economy in what amounts to mostly useless activity based on everyone’s fears of dying or their inability to take a bit of pain and discomfort. Once the country is broke, we simply won’t have the resources to maintain our giant medical temples with all its hopelessly complicated and expensive machinery. We’ll be forced back into 1950’s level medicine and naturopathy, which is a lot better and way more affordable than what we have now. It could be that the medical industrial complex knows its days are numbered for purely economic reasons, and the covid scam has been their last chance to make a bit of serious money before the big medical feed trough is janked away from their snouts and they are sent out to pasture.

“since pretending to stoke prosperity via Modern Monetary Theory only results in, duh, ruinous inflation.”

Not necessarily! In the past four decades the money printing has resulted in more and more cheap goods being imported from China et al. Thus, in this case, MMT results in zero to lower inflation but DOES result in chronic and severe Current Account Deficits and indebtedness to China et al. That indebtedness then requires the sale of US Assets to maintain the value of the USD. Those assets have included Farm land, critical infrastructure and key industrial and tech companies.
At the same time MMT type policy deindustrialised the USA making the whole of Western Civ weaker – both industrially and militarily.

    • workingclasshero August 29, 2022 at 6:01 pm #

A good book on MMT is by Warren Mosler called THE SEVEN DEADLY INNOCENT FRAUDS OF ECONOMIC POLICY. A nation can utilize MMT from any policy framework or prism it chooses to. It’s NOT simply about conjuring up and printing money for anything and everything. A Conservative Mises institute framework can just as easily put your society into a recession/depression spiral.

      • Disaffected August 29, 2022 at 7:50 pm #

Thing is, that’s how it will always be used. MMT’ers habitually ignore the political component, which is by far the most important thing. We’ve had MMT for the hyper-wealthy for at least 40 years now. How’s that worked out?

    • MaryQueen August 29, 2022 at 6:39 pm #

All I know is that MMT proponents are like Jehovah’s witnesses, they even use the line “Have you heard about MMT?” and they start telling you that you NEED to learn it even if you’re not interested.

We are clearly a bit past the event horizon moment in all this and where we all end up is anyone’s guess…but things are getting to hot and spicy before it plays out. Joe is a dead man walking for sure. TPTB are surely in panic mode bc the populace IS waking up (too slowly) but they are dazed and confused and still easily mislead. But nobody is really drinking the progressive kool-aid at this point except for the more evil whiteys in the elite coastal cities. And what way things are going…they will be wondering where are the grub is out their expensive downtown bistros is come January…and why they can’t get their dumb Teslas to charge. Things are moving quickly…

    • Woodchuck August 30, 2022 at 11:20 am #

Where we all end up? We end up in poverty living a 3rd world primitive lifestyle. Unfortunately, just because it’s primitive doesn’t mean a *lot* of skill won’t be required to survive. They will be totally new skills that were second nature to our ancestors, they learned all that stuff in childhood. The skills that are being taught in schools everywhere right now is how to live in a civilization based on high fossil fuel usage. Once that all changes, most everything learned in schools, from peers, and from tv – will be obsolete and useless. Forums like this will dissappear because people will be too busy struggling with other issues. Winning arguments or discussing crap on blog forums will be a thing of the past. We won’t have the spare time to waste hanging around in here arguing.

I love jazzed – up coffee drinks — except for Starbucks.

Great logo , but the coffee tastes like 10% coffee , 90% sugar.

Around here Starbucks seems to have forced out Caribou Coffee and New England Coffee.

        — but they can’t force out McDonald’s.

        • MaryQueen August 29, 2022 at 8:57 pm #

Tried Starbucks once when I still even drank coffee. Yuck.

I used to buy whole bean Peet’s and grind & brew it at home.

          • Night Owl August 30, 2022 at 2:57 am #

Even if Starbucks did make a decent espresso, cappucino, latte, etc., I long ago did the math and realized that I could have a cafe-quality semi-auto. machine and grinder sitting in my kitchen for about the same price as it would cost to get some kid at Starbucks or one of the many shitty hipster cafes around us to pull us one 4-5 days a week.

I have not regretted it, and it is rare that a coffee pulled in a cafe can compete with what we make at home.

I recommend Quickmill and Mazzer. Do it!

A federal judge dismissed Donald Trump’s legal claims against former Federal Bureau of Investigation officials he accused in a lawsuit of conspiring with Hillary Clinton and others to undermine his presidency with the Russia investigation.

Former FBI directors James Comey and Andrew McCabe, as well as onetime agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, all of whom were involved in the government probe of Trump’s suspected ties to Russia, were removed from the case in a ruling signed Thursday by US District Judge Donald Middlebrooks in Florida.

Since we’re discussing Nazism: Another great article by Helen of Destroy:

“You would be forgiven for not knowing that last Friday was the 75th anniversary of the Doctors’ Trial, one of 13 Nazi war crimes trials conducted at Nuremberg after World War II and the event that birthed the Nuremberg Codes, the most important medical ethics document of the modern era. The Codes set ground rules for requiring informed consent from experimental test subjects; they anchor international agreements like the Helsinki Declaration, the Geneva Convention and the United Nations’ International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and have been codified into law in the US and other countries.

Sixteen doctors were found guilty at Nuremberg of murder and torture for carrying out a euthanasia program on mentally and physically disabled German citizens deemed “unworthy of life” and experimenting on concentration camp inmates; nine were jailed and seven were executed. Yet the expected flood of commemoratory articles and events marking the anniversary of the Allies’ crowning (if illusory) moment of moral superiority over those Evil Nazis™ has not materialized.”

I think our own homegrown Nazi’s will choose death over trials. And no trial that could possibly be held will ever do justice to the monstruous evil that has inhabited this country since 9-11, nor would the prosecutors even know where to start – although at the top would be the only way to approach it. The roots of that evil now stretch far and wide and have corrupted every public and most corporate institutions we have.

For 70 years Nazi critiques have really been about justifying why the United States , once the poster boy for populism , and for most of 150 years having one of the smallest armies in the world , is now the very poster boy for ” military – industrial complex ”

1/3 of earths population survives the man made culling including war and acts of God, both natural and supernatural.

There will be no power, electric or otherwise, but the earth will be cleansed of all effluents and demonic transhumanist inventions and diseases during the 3 days of darkness, wherein you are not to go out, look out, or answer your door though you hear loved ones crying to be let in. It is a trap. You are to pray and keep a blessed candle lit for the duration.

This is after the warning, after the great persecution of believers and after the WAR.
    Maybe it ends the war.

You have food and water stored. You have emptied your house of the tainted books, objects, tv s, phones. You unplug after the warning.

You will feel great peace. The earth is purified. You may be physically and spiritually healed. You will work in an agrarian community thanking God for His great mercy.

‘It’s about Man, not Matter. Human wellbeing first and foremost, not individual or even collective profit.’ Jarek

A great line, J, and nice discussion above on National Socialism, Hitler, and the Germans. One could stretch things a bit and say that Hitler only wanted a ‘global socialism’ rather than being possessed by a megalomaniacal desire for world domination, but I wouldn’t buy it.

Waging war against the US, Europe, and Russia should have been perceived as complete folly to begin with, doing just the opposite of what a humane, rational, national socialist government would do for its people. All too often now, national socialism is equated with world ruin and the slaughter of millions. Ja, the Nazis.

Hitler gave Mussolini the complete works of Nietzsche as a birthday present. He was the classic mad genius in the Nietzsche Museum. The will to power. The Ubermensch. National Socialist, no. Flamboyant, fearsome, flagitious Fascist, yes.

    • Soul Forensics August 29, 2022 at 9:15 pm #

      ts,

The irony is that Nietzsche’s Will to Power was will against one’s own base desires, and against mob power. His ubermensch was for individuals, not for dictators. He despised (and prophesied) the oncoming 20th century totalitarian movements.

      • Jarek August 30, 2022 at 12:30 am #

Yes, profound contradictions between the two. Nietzsche also admired Jews, their down to earth commonsense and their collective power – a contradiction in his own philosophy. So much for being “a good European”!

White Nationalism is very new and also very, very old. Almost all the philosophers fail from our pov, even if a few get a few things right as he did.

        • Soul Forensics August 30, 2022 at 12:34 am #

Re Nietzsche and the Jews. He revered the Old Testament and hated the New.

          • Jarek August 30, 2022 at 1:23 am #

Yes, pretty consistent on that. But the Jewish ideal is that of a people (do you conflate that invariably with a mob?) and not the individualistic Superman that he was enamoured with.

In a good traditional culture, every man is a King like Huey Long said. It’s said that in old Bali, a King would talk as equals with “little kings” – farmers.

          • Jarek August 30, 2022 at 1:25 am #

Here and there, occasionally, he admits that the love and humility of a Parsifal is also necessary for a Man and a World.

          • Soul Forensics August 30, 2022 at 3:17 am #

“But the Jewish ideal is that of a people (do you conflate that invariably with a mob?) and not the individualistic Superman that he was enamoured with.”

An important question. With Nietzsche, he always came back to the individual. It’s his lodestar. His Superman was individuated, but he hinted that those so realized could have an organic collective that would approach a social good. In any event, it’s not where his vision was engaged (society).

    • Woodchuck August 30, 2022 at 1:05 am #

Had Hitler been mentally healthy and very sly, he could have focused only on domestic issues and rode the wave of the economic recovery of Germany to make himself as popular as possible. And never attacked Poland, England, France, Russia etc. etc. Instead of guns make butter and toys for all the Germans and keep ’em happy with bread and circuses. Avoiding conflict with other nations and supporting German Jews as much as possible, and in particular the genius German nuclear physicists like Einstein. The atom was first split in Germany, and the energy released from that splitting was measured for the first time. It became known just how much energy could be theoretically released by a chain reaction.

Then as quietly as possible and with as much secrecy, Germany develops thermonuclear weapons and pushes the V2 rocket research and production teams to develop ever more powerful liquid fueled rockets. It was a crew of German rocket engineers that built the first vehicle that made it to space. In time, they could have built powerful enough rockets to place nuclear warheads onto any spot on the planet the Germans desired to hit. There would be no defense against them. Global nuclear blackmail carried out by a country about the size of the state of Montana.

That *could* have happened, but it didn’t because Hitler was a mentally ill psychopath and a medium who was basically just channeling a bunch of self destructive evil garbage. He wasn’t smart enough to understand all the technical and scientific resources the Germans had at the time. When they attacked the Jews they attacked some of the smartest and most capable scientists they had. Some of those scientists fled Germany and soon wound up working at Los Alamos on *our* atomic weapons.

      • Night Owl August 30, 2022 at 2:34 am #

        “Fled Germany”

Most of those scientists were brought over via Operation Paperclip, their crimes forgiven in exchange for their newfound “loyalty” to the United States.

Many were hardcore Nazis, but the United States government was far less ethical than the boomers who believe these fairy tales believe.

        • Woodchuck August 30, 2022 at 11:58 am #

I wasn’t referring to rocket scientists, and yeah, some of those guys had been Nazis. I was referring to the Jewish German nuclear physicists who saw what was coming with the holocaust and got out early. Einstein was probably the most famous of the lot, but there were many more. Hitler had even once ignorantly called nuclear physics “Jewish science”. Just as Germans were pioneers in organic chemistry, they were also ahead of everyone else in physics. The atom was first split in Germany, not in the US. Hitler’s insanity compelled him to run off, remove, or kill Germany’s most productive and intelligent citizens.

          • Night Owl September 1, 2022 at 8:02 am #

What other ones were there? IIRC, most of the brainpower the US received from Germany in physicis, aerospace engineering, etc., were the war criminals and Parteitreue they resituated in the States.

Einstein himself had given up German citizenship long before the Nazis were in power, and he did not leave because he saw the Holocaust coming, he left because he was specifically targeted for his theory on relativity.

        One historical point, Woodchuck.

In 1939, it was the UK & France that declared war on Germany first, not the other way around.

I was going to make that point. He hatred of Hitler leads him to distort everything, making him into a cartoon villain. Ah well. Germans underwent the most ruthless mind fucking of anybody at the hands of the Allies. And young Woody succumbed and has never overcome that early abuse.

          • Woodchuck August 30, 2022 at 12:34 pm #

Ahh, what’s not to like about Hitler?!

Well, this is getting interesting. Years ago I had a book called “Diary of a Man in Despair”. It’s the diary of a Bavarian minor league aristocrat named von Reck something or other who eventually died in a concentration camp or was killed by the Nazis. He’d been too openly critical of the regime and got swatted by the Gestapo.

He was living in Munich during the turbulent Weimar Republic era, and Hitler was out there rabble rousing in the giant beerhalls. Beerhalls filled with angry unemployed men and bitter WWI veterans drinking junk beer.

In those days, herr Reck went about with a pistol in his pants because things were dangerous on the streets. One day while armed, Reck happened to encounter Hitler in a restaurant, and Hitler was without his usual retinue of thugs about him, sullenly sitting at a table by himself in the corner. Poor feller had problems with depression and suicidal thoughts, maybe last nite’s speech had gone badly or the communists had disrupted it.

Reck writes much later in his diary thinking about the incident. Sorta paraphrasing from memory of what I read, Reck wrote:

“I could easily have shot him, and had I known ahead of time of the years of suffering he was about to inflict on all of us – I would have shot him. But instead I mistook Hitler as being a clown or just a poor deluded fool, and I did not shoot.”

Reck may have even described Hitler as being a cartoon character, don’t have the book now.

          • BackRowHeckler August 30, 2022 at 2:23 pm #

Even if Hitler was assassinated in those early years, somebody like Heydrich would have stepped up to take his place. Heydrich was an even bigger Buster of Balls hardass than Hitler was.

That’s why when I read comments on different sites that call for Putins murder, I think “Be careful what you wish for.”

The UK and France declared war on Germany because they had a defense treaty with Poland. When the Soviet Union invaded Poland 16 days after Germany, the UK and France did not declare war on the USSR.

The defense treaty likely encouraged the Polish government not to negotiate in good faith over the Danzig Corridor, leading to a war in which the UK and France did nothing to aid Poland. Thanks to its defense treaty with the UK and France, Poland got one month of Blitzkreig, five years of Nazi occupation, and forty-four years of Communism.

What kind of trouble will Poland’s “allies” get it into next?

    • Jarek August 30, 2022 at 1:14 am #

Did Putin start this war? The Ukies were massing on the border of the Donbass – after years of relentless shelling.

Similarly, the Russians were massing on the borders with Poland. War was inevitable so he struck first.

You are still falling for Allied propaganda and its false “humane” view of history.

      • Jarek August 30, 2022 at 1:19 am #

He being Hitler. And earlier, the Poles were slaughtering German civilians in a former part of Germany given to the Poles. What kind of leader would allow that? Putin is of the same mettle. Try to get it straight in your mind. Freedom begins between the ears and you are not a free man yet.

Anmariwhateverthefuck…you’re weird, but somehow prescient. Remember, the earth is at least 5 billion years old and humankind’s destruction of it is but a drop in the bucket. We’re in the part of the funnel where the coin spins faster and faster, and there’s no turning back now. Humankind’s greatest shortcoming is its failure to understand the exponential function. Our rate of destruction will only accelerate from here.

    • MaryQueen August 29, 2022 at 9:09 pm #

      Amazingly, I agree with this.

    • Woodchuck August 29, 2022 at 10:54 pm #

Well, yes, in a way. Humankind also comes up short in in managing our rate of reproduction. We get overcome by horniness, stop thinking about the exponential function and limits to growth. Not enough food? – who cares at this moment?

We instead are experiencing a faster and faster spinning in the funnel of lust and become totally focused on getting into his or her pants. After the baby arrives along with bills to pay then the ideas of sustainability might reappear. How much room do we have on the planet for more arrivals, and when do we stop? It must stop at some point – if you understand mathematics.

I’m not feminist myself due to having encountered a lot of feminism in my extended family. Anyone with a lot academic types in their extended family will know what I’m talking about. Once you’ve had very personal encounters with feminism as child, with domineering women wanting to be like men – well – it leaves a very sour taste in your mouth that never goes away. These women raise pussy and confused feminized males who are forced to hang around indoors all day long with the feminist females. Nowadays we call them elementary school teachers, and most are all feminists.

Ha-bad is a lineage of Kabbalah. One of the many lineages of Hasidism. The Hasids, were a mystical, Kabbalistic movement begun by the Baal Shem in the 1700’s I believe.

Ha-bad is marked by its organizational genius and its full entrance into the modern world without giving up its mysticism and piety, or at least that’s their ideal.

The Kabbalah and the Talmud are one system in Judaism. Ha-bad retains all the venom for non-Jews that is part of parcel of the latter. Of course some of us admire the Kabbalah but not the Talmud. But that is not the Orthodox Jewish pov, though surely some liberal Jews feel the same.

Re: the ongoing discussion of the Vaxx

The effects of the s protein are all encompassing affecting all systems containing the blood pressure control receptor ACE2. That is slowly being established and being moved from the conjecture category to the fact category.

I would like to add my two cents worth.

All of this vaxx toxicity would not be happening if one thing had happened, the injection model the mRNA folks handle us were true. This is the The Great Lie of the Vaxx.

Injection of the mRNA particle into the deltoid muscle means that all the body’s reactions will occur in the muscle and only a very tiny, maybe, part will escape into the bloodstream.

Anyone who has given IM injection knows this is total BS. Properly done, a back pull on the syringe checks that the needle tip is not in a blood vessel. Remember the vaxx assembly lines? How many of those IM shots were done properly to ensure no transfer of mRNA to the circulatory system happened?

Another look at a data point here. Muscles saturated with large amounts of blood vessels will logically have a greater chance of getting the mRNA directly into the bloodstream.

    Like with athletes!!

The mRNA folks have duped the government and the people with their bullshit muscle injection model. If true, the model would have prevented the bad aspects of blood borne transport of the mRNA particles. The proof of the pudding is that it did not work and 150 million folks are walking around with the immunological damage of direct mRNA transfer to the circulatory and lymph systems.

Now, add onto that some recent data says that the possibility of reverse transcriptase is happening, in liver cells, causing a DNA change in the nucleus that may be perpetuating antigen presentation on cell surfaces causing perpetual inflammation.

Personally, a suspicious change. My daughter has developed autoimmune problems, potentially
Lupus in the future. T0 will probably be actually getting the virus, which she did, but she has also been shot twice and boosted as she is a teacher.

My model is that because the vaxx enters the bloodstream in an uncontrolled fashion, it is equivalent to getting the disease as far as the immune system is concerned. So the effects of both infection and the vaxx are accumulative.

Especially if the reverse transcriptase occurance is proven.

Impossible, sayeth the mRNA folks. We shall see. The same folks that say that no mRNA escapes into the blood.

Perpetual inflammation could be the downfall of the Vaxx. Exactly why it will never be investigated by Uncle Sam.

    msn.com/en-us/news/politics/evidence-of-democrats-conspiracy-to-sway-2020-election-getting-too-big-to-hide/ar-AA11gBaM?ocid=msnews

Much of the attention paid to allegations of interference in the 2020 election has focused on former President Donald Trump’s claims of voter fraud and malfeasance. However, potential fraud at the polls is far less disturbing than the growing body of evidence that Democrats, the FBI, Big Tech, and legacy media worked together — right out in the open — to put President Joe Biden in the White House.

At least a dozen FBI whistleblowers have reached out to Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH), ranking members of the Senate and House Judiciary Committees, respectively, to inform them that, in the months leading up to the election, bureau insiders tried to scuttle the investigation into Hunter Biden’s foreign business adventures. Their modus operandi was to label the story as Russian disinformation.

One whistleblower told the Republicans that FBI leadership deliberately slow-walked the investigation into Hunter Biden because they didn’t want it to have an effect on the 2020 presidential election.

Yep, folks it appears the Donald is not the evil orange slug the leftist media and Democrats have been saying.
For all the dirty tricks and cheating look no further than the modern Democrat party.
It would be a shame if they finally imploded and a new fresh party of people with morals and scruples emerged that was also right of center.

    • Disaffected August 30, 2022 at 9:04 am #

No surprises here whatsoever. The Borg had decided (actually, commanded) it would be anybody but Trump, and Biden just happened to be the next greatest fool available at the time. Particularly convenient as well, as he had a life or death stake in the Ukraine caper, meaning he wouldn’t spit the bit at the last minute about starting a full-scale war there with Russia. Why should Biden care? He’s already far exceeded his shelf life both politically and mortally anyway. They’ll be hard pressed to find a better stooge than him when he finally gives up the ghost.

Mark Crispin Miller believes that the election of Trump (which he thinks was fraudulent*, like both 2004 and 2020 – he even wrote a book about 2004) was absolutely critical to the covid narrative.

He was set up as a buffoon, so that when he backed hydroxychloroquine, everyone was able to jump on it with derision. Which led to the ‘single solution’, ivermectin having not made its entrance very loudly at that point.

*Even Trump was surprised to win – he and his speech writer had not even prepared a speech.

        • MaryQueen August 30, 2022 at 11:39 am #

I’m with Mark there. I also remember Greg Palast doing great work about the stolen elections of 2000 & 2004 but he shut up as soon as Democrats got into office.

I’m glad that Miller is nonpartisan, he’s much more reliable on all this stuff.

I listened to MC Miller on that belief, GA. I generally enjoy his takes, but disagree with him here. His hypotheticals don’t convince me.

There’s too much desperation and focus on eliminating Trump as a political player for it to be a hyped-up in-club wrestling fiction. I’m surprised there aren’t more Trumps, willing — even if he’s deluded and naive in many ways — to battle the Deep State. Even in totalitarian systems throughout the past century, there were always brave souls who fought layers of enormous power, even though they knew it most likely would result in ostracization and death.

        • Blackbird August 30, 2022 at 6:23 pm #

I think Trump was allowed to win in order to polarize the country, to set it up for the war in the Ukraine, “Covid”, and the white-punishing, bug-eating world of the Great Reset.

Those who liked what they heard Trump saying could be dismissed as deplorables. Those repelled by Trump doubled down on their trust-the-narrative delusions.

Those who want to eat bugs, get vaxxed, or invite Drag Queen Story Hour to town, are more fervent in their beliefs than they would be if Trump had not been elected.

I don’t believe Trump was allowed to win. He surprised the deep state. Scared the hell out of them in fact. That is why they went over the top trying to destroy him, his reputation and his family. The left has gone completely rabid in their condemnation and hatred of Trump. They have used illegal not to mention immoral means and methods, trying to get him out of office. They blatantly stole a presidential election and installed one of the most hated left wing ideologues in the country into the presidency. They rubbed the noses of middle, working class, right leaning people in the political stench. Don’t kid yourself. The Dems and Reps are working together on all of this. If America has any balls left, it will all come to a head in the coming elections, maybe in the mid terms, certainly by the presidential election. It may get ugly as the uni-party has most of the power. They control the MIC, therefore they have a huge advantage, but there still are a lot of pissed off people who don’t have a lot to lose.

I get why people are interested in discussing “retail” news, but there are countless other web sites that satisfy that need.

It would be nice if this space maintained a standard of addressing the “why”? Why GW 1 & 2, why 9-11, why covid/Vax, why Ukraine, why Biden?

Perhaps even more than just why, the more alarming aspect is that now operations are conducted out in the open, with no concern of public reaction, “Electoral” results, oversight, judicial process, etc.

Ask yourself the why about that facet, and I think you’d soon tire of holding any interest about what has already occurred, but rather would be engaged in being hyper alert with all spider senses firing about the next shoe getting ready to drop.

    Well, ladies and germs;

This AM;’s Situational Awareness reports something that should put a bit of “lead in your pencil”…(I do not know what the female equivalent of that phrase might be…help me out if you know).

Democrats, including the president, have ramped up rhetoric against Trump Republicans. Following Biden’s “semi-fascism” remark, Democratic adviser Kurt Bardella said that, “The Republican Party is basically a domestic terrorist cell at this point, and they should be treated as such.” Fox News this morning ran an article cataloging remarks, which include multiple accusations of terrorism and fascism. [source: https://www.foxnews.com/media/bidens-semi-fascist-label-latest-anti-gop-moniker-bestowed-democrats-media%5D

Analyst Comment: The midterms are in two months, Biden’s approval is underwater, and Democrats are focused on voter turnout to keep the Senate and lower their margin of loss in the House. At best, the strategy of painting Republicans as terrorists and fascists is meant to bolster Democrats’ chances in November by winning moderates scared by the perception of Republican extremism. At worst, this could be akin to a “shaping operation” prior to a large political development.

Shaping operations are activities designed to “shape” the battlefield, which in counterinsurgency can include psychological and information operations used to soften up targets and convince the populace to support, or at least not actively oppose, future operations.

Well, first they came for the Godless Commies, and since I was not a commie, I did nothing.

Then they came for the pederasts…and since I am not a pederast (trust me on this), I did nothing.

Now, it appears, theat they will be coming for the “loyal opposition”…Sweet Jesus….

Oh yeah, and they go on further to suggest that Biden will renew efforts to curtail, contain, or actually outlaw the ownership of…assault weapons….

    This game isn’t fun anymore.

Have you ever eaten boiled or steamed okra by itself?

The mealworms alive and eaten raw would be less slimy.

Had a bearded dragon I used to feed mealworms, crickets and when I could handle it pinkies dusted in calcium powder.

At one point I started farming them and allowing them to grow into beetles and then lay eggs had I a bit more room at the time I would have considered making a small business out of it.
They smelled pretty bad but ate scraps and the worm casings made great fertilizer.

    • Anthea August 31, 2022 at 5:50 am #

      @ wwg1wga:

Okra is a wonderful thing. Insanely productive! We have a 50-foot row of okra, and i’ve been struggling to keep up with it, as you have to pick the young pods at least every other day. (Every day would probably be better.) Yesterday’s picking netted me two quarts of frozen okra and three pints of pickled okra–and that’s after discarding all but the choicest of the okra pods–at least half of them. A few of the discards were added to the previous day’s corn chowder with shrimp. (Dump a bunch of broiled shrimp in with a can of Del Monte corn with peppers, and add some seasonings. Obviously, the shrimp is broiled in butter and olive oil with garlic and scallions, if you have them.)

Our tomatoes are now ripening very slowly, though we were drowning in ripe tomatoes for about three weeks. Now there are never enough all at one time to can, so they go in boxes in the freezer. I’ll can them after the okra and peppers slow down.

I found an online recipe for canning green tomatoes for frying. The trick to making good fried green tomatoes is to let them sit on the countertop until they begin to get a little color.

The plan for today is to can roasted poblanos and preserve the Hungarian Hot Wax Peppers in olive oil with garlic and basil. Roasting peppers is a lot of trouble, but totally worth it.

    • Paula D August 31, 2022 at 11:42 am #

My okra got too big but it turns out that the seeds are as good for you as crickets, so I pressure cooked the pods and added the seeds to various meals They are pretty tasty.

      • Anthea August 31, 2022 at 11:42 pm #

        @ Paula D:

Okra pods always get too big too fast to keep up with them. I snip off the ones that have grown to the size of cow horns and harvest the young pods. I figure that snipping off the big ones encourages more production, as with dead-heading flowers. There are always new young pods in with the big old stringy ones.

I think I harvested somewhere between five and ten pounds of poblanos today, and we only have about six poblano plants–which were falling over from the weight of the peppers. I was planning to go back out to the garden later to pick the jalapenos, but life got in the way. I’ll probably be roasting and canning poblanos all day tomorrow.

        • Paula D September 1, 2022 at 9:02 pm #

The okra seeds remind me of pine nuts, which I have only eaten a few times, as they are expensive as hell.

God is also Lord over all of the material world. But it seems like many people don’t consider that side of things. Preferring to focus on the spiritual unseen aspects and the afterlife. Not that that should not receive attention or focus. But I agree with you that there has to be way more of a balance that matches closer to reality. If we were a healthy intact culture we would actually likely have annual celebrations of the defeat of the Indians. We would not be ashamed or shy of taking what we needed. But yet here we are constantly in a state of contrition simply because we exist. While the newcomers and the enablers who are taking everything celebrate openly in our destruction.

          • Anthea August 31, 2022 at 6:12 am #

“Pushing the Indians out of the way” was an inevitability. It’s kind of hard to figure why anyone would think that two vast and very thinly populated continents could have been or should have been left virtually empty. I suppose the idea behind this is that the whole western hemisphere should be a big nature preserve with a scattered population of stone-age people.
