Prince’s Estate shares rare track ‘Don’t Let Him Fool Ya’

As the outpouring of previously unseen content continues to flow out of the deep dungeons of Prince’s estate we’re very pleased to be given a spin of the rarely heard song ‘Don’t Let Him Fool Ya’.

The track, which has been shared by fans for many years, is now getting it’s first official release. You can listen to it below and be sure to find it on the upcoming reissue of 1999, which arrives on November 29th.

Recorded by the late singer in 1982 in his home studio on Kiowa Trail in Chanhassen, the track is a delightfully bouncing and groove-filled jaunt. It’s a disco-tinged jam capable of getting anyone ready for the weekend.

The song is just one part of the mammoth reissue which will feature 35 previously unreleased songs. The reissue will come in the Super Deluxe Edition which comes with 10LPs and a DVD. The Deluxe edition which will arrive as either a 2 CD or 4 LP edition and the standard edition which will be either 1 CD or 2LPs.

The Super Deluxe Edition is a must for any fan. It not only contains the above, with the DVD of a full previously unreleased concert film from Prince‘s Houston show, but will come with 23 previously unissued studio tracks from Prince’s time in the studio between 1981 and 1983, and a complete live audio performance of the ‘1999’ tour.

As well as all that, it will also feature unseen handwritten notes from Prince himself alongside rare photos from Prince’s photographer, Allen Beaulieu.
