Heather Rae Young reunites with Tarek El Moussa as he puts his head on her baby bump… after she admitted to feeling 'separation anxiety' while he vacationed in Cabo without her

Heather Rae Young got a warm welcome for her husband Tarek El Moussa on Thursday after he spent the week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with family.

Taking to Instagram, the 34-year-old realtor - who's currently pregnant with their first child - shared a snap of Tarek, 40, fondly pressing his head against her baby bump.

'Finally reunited!!! Kissing and loving on his baby boy,' captioned the Selling Sunset star. '@therealtarekelmoussa I missed you so much.'

Young was dressed in red and white striped pajama shorts and a black hooded sweatshirt for her reunion for Tarek, who was dressed in all-black.

Hours later, Young returned to Instagram to unveil her glammed up appearance as she made her way to the launch party for fellow influencer Stassie Karanikolaou's collaboration with Booby Tape.

For the event, Young rocked a long, blonde ponytail and highlighted her growing bump in a black lace dress with long-sleeves.

She finished off the look by slipping her feet into a pair of strappy heels with an open toe.

Young recently revealed that she'd been experiencing 'separation anxiety' while Tarek was away in Mexico with his two children and other close family members.

Young hung back at their Orange County home after her doctor advised her against traveling to Mexico while pregnant.

Sharing a lovely beach photoshoot of the couple on her Instagram, she noted that this was the 'longest time' they'd been apart.

'Missing my best friend while he’s away in Cabo with the kids and our families so I’m going through photos that I love of us. This is the longest we’ve been apart since we’ve been together so I’m maybeee getting a little separation anxiety,' she wrote.

She then asked her 2.9M followers for tips on how to keep herself distracted while her loved ones are away.

'Help distract me! What are your favorite books/tv shows at the moment??' she asked.

She also said her pregnancy hormones have kicked in, sharing on her Stories: 'I felt really good up until today hormonal-wise and today I started crying out of nowhere, don't know where it came from. I feel better though now, it was just like a moment.'

The star decided not to join her husband and his family on a getaway to Cabo San Lucas after her doctor advised her against doing so.

The reality beauty revealed to PEOPLE that she remained at home so she wouldn't be exposed to potential illnesses like the Zika virus and food poisoning.

'It's not worth getting sick. Chances that you can avoid, you should. Unavoidable exposures are different,' she relayed to the outlet of her doctor's advice.

In a post shared to her Instagram on Tuesday, Young appeared content with her decision to hunker down at her Orange County residence.

'Missing @therealtarekelmoussa and the kids so much while they're in Cabo but trying to use this time to do some nesting and planning,' captioned the star, who shared images of potential aesthetics for her unborn child's nursery.

Though he's having fun in the sun with the two children he shares with ex Christina Hall, Tarek made it known that Young was still on his mind in a post shared with his Instagram followers on Monday.

Including a snap with his tight knit vacation crew, the HGTV star admitted in the caption that he was missing his wife 'like crazy but doctors orders come first!!'

Young first let her followers know that she'd made the decision to hang back in a post uploaded to Instagram on Saturday.

She gave her husband and stepchildren a loving send off to Mexico, which she documented with a photo of the trio.

'My loves heading to Cabo @therealtarekelmoussa,' she captioned the picture of the former Flip Or Flop host standing alongside his daughter Taylor, 11, and son Brayden, six, whom he shares with former c-host, ex-wife Christina Hall (born Christina Haack).

Dressed in a black sweatsuit sneakers and a baseball cap, Tarek wrapped his arms around his children for the photo that was seemingly taken just before catching their flight to Cabo.

Earlier that day, Young showed off her growing baby bump in a mirror selfie on her Instagram Story 

'Hi baby boy,' Young wrote across the photo that shows the reality star cradling her burgeoning bump.

The reality star, who learned last week that she's expecting a baby boy, went with a sporty look dressed in a light brown sweatpants and a matching hoodie.

She also wore a sports bra underneath that helped her showcase her belly, and pulled her long blonde locks back off her face and into a ponytail.

With the house empty for a few days, Young is focusing on her health and well-being, which includes getting in some exercise, girls time, and rest and relaxation.

Just a few hours earlier, she posted a photo of herself laying down and relaxing on a couch, where she revealed she'll be having a 'girl's weekend' wearing 'sweats' and indulging with 'food & sleep'.

'@therealtarekelmoussa, kids & family are in Cabo,' Young continued, adding, 'I stayed behind because of my Dr. Recommendations. Missing my [heart] and family.'

Her day started off early, hours before sending the family off to Cabo San Lucas. 

'Morning Pilates session. Been up since 5:20 am,' she wrote in another Insta-Story post showing her snapping the selfie while sitting atop one of the Pilates machines.

For her early morning workout, she again highlighted her growing baby bump by wearing black leggings with a black camouflage tank top that hugged her womanly curves.

Knowing they would be apart for a few days, Young and El Moussa spent Friday together, which included both work and play.

'Soon-to-be-mama hard at work! Swipe to see my growing belly at work,' she began in the caption of a post showing the couple inside a home being renovated while filming for their new reality series The Flipping El Moussas. 

She continued, 'It's funny because they say when you get pregnant you lose your energy, you have morning sickness, and things become more difficult to do but I'm so lucky to feel 100% fine! I wake up early still, go to pilates, go to set and work all day, and feel amazing - I asked my sister and mom about it and they were the same way so maybe it runs in the family but definitely no signs of slowing down. 

The mother-to-be ended the post by posing a question 'to all the pregnant ladies or mamas out there: what was your experience??' 

El Moussa and Young met during a fishing trip in July of 2019, and went on to tie-the-knot in a ceremony near Santa Barbara last October.
