Toni Basil[]

The Toni Basil album Word of Mouth featured three Devo covers. They were performed by members of Devo except Alan was not on her version of Be Stiff.

Extra info – Basil was a well connected early supporter of Devo.
A pioneer of street dance, she was to have choreographed the promotional video Through Being Cool'' (but Jerry ended up doing it), the first music video to feature breakdancing, according to the Rolling Stone Book of Rock Video.
Jerry did the concept for the cover of her follow-up album.
She did the choreography for two of David Bowie’s tours – the Diamond Dogs tour, whose presentation and theatrical staging impressed Jerry, and the Glass Spider tour, which included Spazz Attack as a featured dancer.

Debbie Harry[]

Mark and Jerry, as Pud and Spud Devo, add their backing vocals to Jump Jump.a.
It was the first track on her album Koo Koo and was released as Saltar, Saltar = Jump Jump on a single in Peru.
Extra info - Harry performed Come Back Jonee on SNL.a.

Jermaine Jackson[]

At Jackson's request a., Jerry and Mark add their backing vocals to the track Let Me Tickle Your Fancy. They are credited as Spud and Pud Devo.
The first track on the album of the same name, this Motown song received radio airplay and was a hit single.b.
Extra info - They performed the track to playback in a Halloween TV special shot at Knott's Berry Farm theme park.
