This might be old news to some of you but since it hasn't been mentioned on the board, I thought I'd post it for those that didn't know.

ROBERTSON--Heather Merriweather, 38, died this past weekend in Buenas Aires, Argentina. Heather, a screenwriter, director and filmmaker, was the daughter of actors Dina Merrill and Cliff Robertson. She is survived by her brother Stanley H. Rumbough and her sisters Nina Rumbough of Greenwich, Connecticut and Stephanie Saunders of Charleston, South Carolina. Family services will be held privately. Friends may send memorial contributions in Heather's name to St. Paul's School, 325 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301-2591

It appears that the last five years have really taken a toll on Mr. Robertson.

These photos show Cliff at the premieres for each of the 3 Spider-Man movies from 2002 - 2007.

Thanks, Major. This was news to me. I'm sorry to hear this, especially about one so young. Do you know the cause of death, or why her siblings are named Rumbough?

Thanks also for the photos. Is it my imagination, or is Cliff turning into George Murdock?

Your welcome, Dan. She died from ovarian cancer & the Rumboughs are from Dina's first marriage. I should also mention that the article was originally published on May 2nd.

Wow, I hadn't heard about this. Sad to hear indeed. I can't get over the difference in 5 years from those photos -- time has definitely taken its toll.

That ovarian cancer is one they haven't licked yet. Joan Hackett AKA Esther Fortune also died from it. Wanna hear something weird? I dined with Barry Morse about
3-1/2 years ago. He'd long since lost track of Joan Hackett although they
did know each other a bit through the years (before and after TZ).
He asked me if I knew anything as to her whereabouts. I told him she died
long ago. "That's what I figured, and was afraid of," he said.
She was English, I believe...and he lives in London (although Canadian-born).
Anyhow, that's too bad about Cliff's daughter. I always hate to see parents
outlive their kids. The older the parents are, the harder it is because
they're at the end of their lives and having a child die just makes the final
stretch that much more difficult.

No, Joan was born in New York City. You've reversed Barry -- he was born in London but moved to Canada in his thirties.

I'm sure Barry will be glad you pointed that out!
