Darren Criss Marries Longtime Love Mia Swier in New Orleans

The happy couple, who have been together for around eight years, announced their engagement in January 2018

Darren Criss is a married man!

The Assassination of Gianni Versace: American Crime Story actor, 32, married longtime love Mia Swier, 33, on Saturday.

Criss and Swier said “I do” in New Orleans as their loved ones and friends looked on.

The star-studded guest list included fellow Glee alums Lea Michele, John Stamos, Chord Overstreet and Harry Shum Jr.

The happy couple, who have been together for around eight years, announced their engagement in January 2018, though Criss later admitted they’d been engaged for a bit before they made the announcement.

“Mia and I have had seven and a half years of fun, wacky, wonderful, CRAZY adventures together,” the Glee star wrote at the time alongside a photo of the pair. “And I’m happy to announce that we’re kicking those adventures up a notch. We’re goin for it. To boldly go where neither of us have gone before. Engage.”

Criss later told Esquire his proposal “was a long time coming.”

Swier has worked for Fox and Showtime and attended New York University’s Steinhardt School of Media Studies and Television Production.

Criss has been enjoying a successful awards season, picking up an Emmy, Golden Globe and Screen Actors Guild award for playing killer Andrew Cunanan in American Crime Story.

He gave a sweet shout-out to Swier in his Globes acceptance speech, thanking her for her “undying love and patience.”
