Booked this hotel, after reading good reviews about it including on tripadvisor, as part of our 2 week europe by car tour.Arrived very late after a very long journey with 2 kids from Berlin. To my utter disappointment, i felt as if I have entered a glorified Hostel. The room was too small for 4 people ( 2 adults, 1 child and 1 infant), and after arguing with me, the Reception manager had to agree that they were wrong and not me at the time of the booking, when I showed them printed copy of my booking. We had to make our eldest daughter (nearly 5) sleep on the floor as no way you can fit an extra bed in this room. The shower has a clear see through window and if you prefer privacy especially infront of your growing children, you cant do that.For that either they should be…

We just returned from a one night stay at the Daniel Hotel, Vienna. I booked our room on a whim based on a AMEX Platinum Card Departure Magazine which spoke very highly about the Belvedere Suite. If you desire traditional Viennese elegance - this hotel is NOT for you. If you enjoy experiencing the modern SOHO feel of an upscale, visually interesting, yet well-priced hotel, the Daniel is for you. The hotel is brand new and their opening party, I was told, is next week. The design is modern, whimsical (check out the sailboat on top of the hotel roof) with a funky and fun vibe. Think the Village in NYC or SOHO or Union Square. It is a short walk to the Belvedere Palace. The staff was outstanding. Everyone was extremely helpful. We stayed two nights at the hotel , on the top floor , with sight to main street with very traffic and so much noise. In the back there is a building under construction...The staff didn't do nothing to resolve the issue of noise, so I sleep with ear protectors...

Came to the restaurant because "the internet" said it was a great hotel breakfast. Was made to feel as welcome as a cholera outbreak for a cost of 28 euros. Tiny selection of food and seemingly nobody around half the time. The hostess just looked at me like I was an idiot and sent me to the restaurant where the workers weren't around. They made some good eggs but the rest of the experience was little better than a spare continental breakfast. They seem to be going for some kitschy 70s hipster vibe with rooftop bees (bees) and upholstery that looks a Dennys in the 1970s. Dennys was way better than this and doesn't deserve to be insulted.

With a boat dangling off the roof and a bakery on the ground floor, the Hotel Daniel is a great hotel. There are many things to admire about this place however the reviewer would like to highlight some of the little things that brought joy to his stay: - The television had access to all streaming services. In 2022 you would think this should be a given in every hotel room however it is rare. Reader, I acknowledge that this might not be essential and most of the reviewer’s time should be spent admiring Vienna however, after a long day, this was very much welcomed. - The bread, the jam and the orange juice at breakfast. We had an excellent 5 night stay at Hotel Daniel. The hotel accommodations and rooms are just as advertised and shown on photos. Very modern, affordable, urban hotel, so if you want lots of extras, you’ll have to go elsewhere and pay significantly more. My husband is very light-sensitive in the morning but found the blinds in the panorama room more than sufficient. Also, the hammocks were a fun feature that added some quirk and charm. It's effortless to travel anywhere in the city on the tram or underground from the hotel and the brunch and dinner menus we're spectacular in the bakery. We will definitely stay again if we are ever in Vienna.

Thank you Hotel Daniel for making our first visit to Vienna a comfortable one. PROS 1) clean 2) comfortable rooms good size. 3) location good, easy to main station and trams. 4) Shower was good powerful and plenty of hot water. 5) breakfast good and evening meal worth staying in for. burger 8/10 and chicken curry 8/10 apple strudel 9/10 6) buzzy vibe in the restaurant area 7) servers were good CONS 1) Pillows too soft with no support and need replacing immediately ! 2) Shower no privacy ! A suggestion. Put a mirror the basin side half way up - this would be two fold- mirrror to shave and apply makeup and the person showering has privacy with just head showing to retain the quirky vibe. 3) our room was at the back facing the flats so quite quiet apart from around …

We stayed in the hammock room. The shower was incredible, from the shower you could see the view outside. The hotel Daniel products were of good quality and were on offer to use complimentary. The hammock wasn’t really worth the extra money. The breakfast selection was very good quality and all made fresh. I had the Bircher muesli was very tasty. The ambience in the bar/ restaurant area was very cosy.

First of all there is no closet and i was living from suitcase for 2 weeks. bedsheets where not changed during my stay. U can not open windows because they are so old. and if u manage to open it takes u 30 min to close it back. the cleanig laidies woke me up every day.

Do NOT consider this place if you like a DARK room to sleep (no black out curtains, see picture). We asked to change rooms, however, we were told all rooms lack this option for a good night rest. Do NOT consider this place if you want TO WALK TO Vienna’s main city centre. We have stayed in better places. Hotel is trendy decorated (sneak peak: transparent shower)

Its not really center center, but easy to get around and completely walkable to lots of things. They have a great resto bar in the hotel too!
