Cynthia "Cindy" Hamilton, 69, passed away on Feb. 12, 2023, surrounded by her family after an extended illness in Clarksburg, Tennessee.
Cindy was born Feb. 8, 1954, in Elkhart, Indiana, to Russell and Francis Waterson. In 1969, she married the love of her life, Willard "Butch" Hamilton. Cindy was a devoted Army wife for 54 years. They had two children, Anthony and Tiffiany, who Cindy absolutely adored. Cindy was Grandma to countless grandchildren, biological or otherwise. She took them under her wing and showered them with love and snacks. She was a loving sister, aunt, friend and dog mom to her beloved Penelope. She cared deeply for anyone who came into her life.
Cindy is preceded in death by her parents, her son Tony, and her brother Ricky Waterson.
Cindy leaves behind her husband, Butch; her daughter, Tiffiany Dress; her brothers, Douglas Waterson and Russell Waterson Jr.; her grandchildren Alexandria (Austen) Isaac, Tyler (Becca) Holtman, Samantha (Brandon) Lutzow, Joshua (Katie) Cowart, Gabriel Cowart, Emma Cowart, Josh Dress, Sarah Dress and Rachel Dress; and her great-grandchildren, Kiam, Jaclynn, Damien, Jacob, Charlie, Benjamin, Avery, Adylinn, Karsyn and Luna.
A Celebration of Life gathering for Cindy will be held on March 18 at the Clarksville Vineyard Christian Fellowship, 2182 Old Russellville Pike, Clarksville, Tennessee, from 1 to 3 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
