I love it! I love it was available too! Keep them coming please! A tad more challenging than I thought it would be (based on my memory of them... ) (But my diminishing brain power isn't anyone's fault but my own) but so much more refreshing than crossword puzzles nauseatingly too easy which seems to be the norm unfortunately, (along with New York times which isn't easy but way too esoteric and perplexing for my taste. ) I love these Washington Post crossword puzzles, and if you like these, you'll also enjoy L.A. Times Crossword puzzles (which get conveniently gradually harder depending on the day of the week so you can find just the right level of challenge for yourself.) I love how it keeps me learning and occupied during long train/plane rides, trying to fall asleep, etc... I love how fast it was delivered as well. Can't rave enough about this one nor any of the others in The Washington Post crosswords / L.A. Times Crossword series of crossword puzzles.

I Like This One a Lot!

I guess you would have to say I'm a New York Times crossword puzzle fanatic. But because this book was edited by Fred Piscop, known to me from his occasional puzzles at the Times, I decided to give a couple volumes of this series a try. Well, I was amply rewarded. These are moderately difficult Sunday puzzles (and you know what I mean if you do the Times Sunday puzzles) which are just enough different from those in the Times that they represented a pleasant challenge for me. Piscop's sense of humor, as seen in the definitions, is unique (and different from that of the NYT's Will Shortz) and I literally found myself laughing out loud at times.

Good book for crossword puzzlers

I often like Fred Piscop's puzzles very much, so I am glad I ordered this book. I still found puzzles I have previously done from other crossword puzzle books, with different titles, but I found enough puzzles I had not done to make this puchase worthwhile.

Someone in here had said that some of the clues are a little "too clever." I disagree. They're not "too clever;" they seem to apply only to the creator. In other words, there are colloquialisms in here that only he seems to understand. I've had to resort to the answers on several occasions because of this. And I've gone to several friends of mine located in different states to see if they'd know the answers. They didn't. I did the same thing with other clues in which the responses were just plain wrong. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, thinking maybe what I'd learned had been updated; again, asking friends of mine what their answers might be and, again trying to find if the answer might have changed since I'd last checked. Nope. The answer was actually wrong. I'm not sure what happened in the last 10-12 years when I did the WaPo Sunday crossword like clockwork, but this is not the crossword I remember.
