About the Author

Laura Clarson has been a practicing Tarot card reader and astrologer since 1971. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and has done graduate work in counseling. She has created 10 videotapes teaching metaphysical subjects, including a four-part course on the Tarot. She is also the author of "The Cosmic Tarot: Signposts Along The Path" and "Finding Your Soul Chart Through Esoteric Astrology." She currently resides in Portland, Oregon.

Very pleased with its arrival date and packaging. This is a very interestingly portrayed deck with lots is symbolism & imagery. I think the use of the beams of light coming from manys eyes was used a tad too often. I like the effect in a few cards but this one aspect keeps this from being a deck that I read with regularly. It does have a fabulous rendition of The World if you like the hippy look as I do. I've yet to read the book as my collection is becoming larger so I cannot comment on its contents as of yet but I did have to purchase them sperately. I prefer the pricing & convenience of a set personally but I'm still fairly new to tarot & always hungry for more to read. I'll never read all I have in the time I have left. Guess that's kinda a good thing! I don't expect many would be highly disappointed with this deck but then again my tastes in art, music & literature have a very wide range. It's a truly personal preference. Images of many cards to any deck can always be found online. My suggestion is to research before you buy what you can't see. There are those times however, when a deck just calls to you and you won't even have to see one card to know you've found "the one". For me, it's a different deck than this one.

I am very glad I discovered this book! I was previously interpreting with the Jean Huets book but was very frustrated with the lack of distinction between upright and reversed meanings. This book makes such distinctions much clearer and for that reason alone it is exactly what I needed. There is also some information on how to use the Tarot generally, which will be very helpful to newcomers. The author also gives some unique suggestions for types of "spreads" at the end of the book... these are a little over-complicated in my opinion, but as always, one must feel free to experiment. Thank you Ms. Clarson!

I just got this book today, glancing at it I know it will definitely add to my Cosmic Tarot Collection - I love how the author has a section on how this card in a spread with other suits affects the reading
I also love a separate section on what the Ace - Ten of each suit means with a brief explanation - Yes for me this is a keeper
Each person has to really decide what they want in a book, I am very happy with the book I got with my Cosmic Tarot Deck but this book can definitely add to my journey with this deck in a very positive way
Not a regret on buying this one - Happy I did and the Seller was awesome

I absolutely love this book! It is written in a way that is very easy to understand, and includes so many more things that the other tarot books I've read. Such as what the individual suits and numbers mean. Also information on meanings for a certain combination of cards, aside from their individual meanings. I also like all the individual spreads she includes, especially the Soul Purpose Spread! This is a perfect companion to such a beautiful deck. I often refer to this book for whatever deck I am reading from. I am so glad I bought it!

Tarot Friendly for Beginners

I am thoroughly enjoying the book as a companion to the Tarot cards. However, one thing that needs some clarfication is the "role of the optional Unknowable Card" in the Cosmic Tarot deck. I do not see this card in the deck. Maybe they have discontinued including that card - and if so, then the author should update and make some revisions. I ordered another set of Cosmic Tarot card thinking that I had some how missed it and the send set of cards did not have the "Unknowable Card." etiher. Ms. Clarson please revise

I do not agree with the other comment left for this item, I think this book is a must have in the way that it is simple and easy to understand for everyone, it gives practical descriptions of the cards and clear guidance for the quierant. I enjoyed reading this book and did not regret buying it at all.
