Men's Track and Field Earns 10 Wins As 15 Seniors Were Celebrated At The Big Red Invite

ITHACA, N.Y. - The Cornell men's track and field team celebrated 15 seniors at the Big Red invite on Sunday at Kane Sports Complex. The Big Red displayed a winning-attitude, taking 10 events at the final home competition of the year.

Fabien De Silva put himself among the Cornell 400-meter dash top-10 with his 47-second performance to move to take the win and sixth all-time. Rithikh Prakash paced his way to a personal-best 14:44.76 5000-meter run time to claim first-place. Matt O'Brien was the top-finisher in the 1500-meter run, also earning a personal-best (3:55.73). Ryder King placed first in the 400-meter hurdles (52.84 seconds. Domenic Baressi won the 100-meter dash (10.43 seconds). 

The Big Red earned victories in all three throwing events that it competed in. Mannie Arbabi (shot put - 15.72 meters), Joseph Rachiele (javelin - 54.02 meters), and Danny Mikay (discus - 48.26 meters) were the throwing champions in their respective events.
