All the Stars Taking Part in the 2021 'CMA Country Christmas' on ABC

December is just around the corner and nine incredible acts are arriving to put you in the festive mood with the CMA Country Christmas special on ABC.

For the twelfth year in a row, the holiday special features some of today's biggest country music stars as they ring in the holiday season with a night full of one-of-a-kind musical performances.

This year's special, filmed in Nashville, Tennessee, airs on ABC at 8 p.m ET, 7 p.m. CT, Monday November 29 before becoming available to stream online the next day on Hulu. The CMA Country Christmas is an annual favourite for country music fans so this year's acts have a tough act to follow.

Who is hosting the 2021 CMA Country Christmas?

Two of this year's performers will also double up as first-time hosts.

Gabby Barrett and Carly Pearce will be welcoming us and leading the festivities as they introduce each act coming to the homely-looking stage before getting up to perform some songs of their own.

Both artists have won various awards in the country music genre so audiences know they're in safe hands for a night of musical entertainment.

Who is performing at the 2021 CMA Country Christmas

Nine performers will take to the stage across the night starting with the hosts, former American Idol contestant Barrett, and "Every Little Thing" singer Pearce.

Country music sensation Carrie Underwood is one of the headline acts due to perform at the 2021 CMA Country Christmas event. The Grammy Award-winner has a packed back-catalog of music but could sing hits from last year's Christmas album My Gift, which topped a number of music charts in the US and the UK.

Other acts taking to the stage in Nashville include Breland. The New Jersey-native has become a country music favorite with his song "My Truck," and for his collaboration with Dierks Bentley on the track "Beers on Me."

Country music Lady A, formerly known as Lady Antebellum, will also be performing. They released their latest album What a Song Can Do earlier this year but they also have plenty of festive songs to choose from thanks to their 2012 Christmas album On This Winter's Night.

Jimmie Allen, Louis York and The Shindellas will all be reuniting on stage to perform too. Presumably they'll be playing their collaborative Christmas hit from last year, "What Does Christmas Mean."

Another artist with a Christmas album to sing about is Brett Eldredge. On his 2016 record Glow, he put a country music spin on a number of holiday classics like "White Christmas" and "Silent Night" as well as featuring his original hit "Glow."

The Pistol Annies will be performing and will have plenty of material to choose from after their latest festive album "Hell of a Holiday" was released in October. One of their first big hits was a collaboration with Blake Shelton with the song "Blue Christmas" from his 2012 record Cheers, It's Christmas.

Singer of the 2020 hit "Things a Man Oughta Know," Lainey Wilson will also be dropping by to perform. She scored success in 2021 with her album Sayin' What I'm Thinkin' and she is another artist with a festive song in her repertoire, thanks to her new track "Christmas Cookies."

How to watch CMA Country Christmas

The twelfth annual CMA Country Christmas special will air on ABC on Monday November 29. It'll air at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific time while viewers in Hawaii, Alaska, and in Central and Mountain time zones will have to tune in at 7 p.m.

If you miss it on ABC, it will be available to watch back in full on Hulu the next day.
