I am primarily interested in the history and origin of rock and roll. I therefore loved all the exhibits of the legends: Elvis, Chuck Berry, the Killer, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, Carl Perkins, and, of course, the Beatles. I spent a long time listening to the hits from the various decades. I had less interest in the clothes and memorabilia.
I found the upper floors less interesting but still worthwhile.
I spent a small fortune in the gift shop, but it was worth it.
My only complaint is the skimpy Grateful Dead section. I know not everyone loves the Dead, but that band deserves more recognition.

The Cleveland Museum of Art is one of the top museums in the U.S., and there are over 3500 reviews praising it on TripAdvisor alone. It doesn't need yet another recommendation.

This review is intended only to call more attention to the ArtLens Wall, just off the atrium. Its room is a playground for all ages, with millions of pixels-worth of tiles displaying art works on multiple touchscreens. Touch an image you like, and it enlarges, tells you which gallery houses the work, and gives you information about the piece. Further touches let you delve more deeply with offers to show you images by the same artist, or from the same period, or of the same type. A connected app for smartphones lets you download the images and information and set up your own tour of the museum. This is an innovation that teaches and delights--and in that it achieves an ideal.

If you visit in the spring/summer of 2024, don't overlook the "Seven Jeweled Mountain" immersive experience. The 10-min. presentation combines images from a 14th century folding screen (on display just outside the video room) with a 16th century account of a hike through that scenery. It's an extraordinarily peaceful and absorbing experience.

This is a guided tour and was filled with fun facts and funny stories. A treat if you love the movie, and if not a huge fan you will definitely want to watch the movie after. We went on a busy day the day before the eclipse but had gotten there prior to opening so had no trouble parking but we were in 2nd tour group so had to wait a bit but the gift shop keeps you busy! Laura was very entertaining and informative.

We had an unforgettable group tour with Diana and she is to be commended for going above and beyond. This was not your run of the mill tour guide. Started in the Wade memorial Chapel. She has a beautiful speaking voice and compassion for the art (Tiffany), the history, the family behind it (Wade) and the religious purpose of the chapel. The tour continued to famous sites and graves. We learned so much and have a new appreciation for this Cleveland historic landmark, and we’re encouraged to partake in other programs the cemetery offers. Kudos Diana!!

Had a wonderful experience watching great baseball in Cleveland. It was a little challenging to park, and I attended a day game to accommodate any problems. I also went in an hour earlier to see Heritage Park. Cool the way you can see the bull pen close up, near Heritage Park. Have a slider dog - hot dog with bacon, mac and cheese and fruit loops!

Looking at this zoo online, I didn't think it would be that good. We decide to give it a try anyway, and it turned out to be amazing. The train ride was so cool! My daughter loves giraffes, and she was able to get super close to them on the train. It is definitely worth the trip!

Once again, in town during off season. Still, a brief visit to this longtime institution was pleasant.

Cleveland has some super beautiful hiking areas and parks. We walked 3 dogs around the lake and into the forest on some great footpaths.

It might seem odd to drive 9 hours to hear an orchestra in their own hall, but Severance Hall and the Cleveland were worth it. In addition to fine music, the hall was a gem, both aesthetically and acoustically. Cleveland also provided a first rate art museum, excellent ethnic food, the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame, and the West Side Market, and we’re sorry we weren’t there at the right time for a ball game in that beautiful park. Niagara Falls, Buffalo and Letchworth Park, on the way, we’re also fun. But Severance Hall was the topper.

We’ve been season-ticket holders for years, and every year the experience gets better. The improvements to Playhouse Square are wonderful, and the performances that visit Cleveland thanks to Playhouse Square are outstanding. This place always delivers a wonderful night out. My only caution is, do not eat at any of the restaurants surrounding Playhouse Square. They are not great and can put a damper on otherwise delightful outing.
