She was born on April 1, 1885, in London, England, and was the daughter of Sir Henry Hozier and Lady Blanche Hozier. Clementine Churchill was known for her intelligence, wit, and strong personality, and she played a significant role in supporting and advising her husband throughout his political career. She was also involved in various charitable causes, particularly those related to children and the arts. Clementine Churchill died on December 12, 1977, at the age of 92.

Her father, Sir Henry Montague Hozier, was a British Army officer and courtier and served as the Private Secretary to Queen Victoria from 1883 to 1901. He was educated at Harrow School and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst, and later joined the British Army, serving in India and Afghanistan.
