Are the Clearwater speakers worth it?

Question

I’m looking to replace the speakers in my 1995 because the current (aftermarket) speakers have a ton of distortion at mid to high volumes and I want a way to drown out the rattles in my car because it’s my daily driver and I’m on the road a lot.

I know that the Clearwater speakers have been out for a long time now and they’re the only plug and play aftermarket speakers designed specifically for the Miata that I’m aware of. They’re $200 bucks on Moss Miata and when there are other cheaper speakers going for half that, I’m not sure if I should shell out for the Clearwater.

Buy from amazon

Go to Walmart and buy some cheap speakers that fit.

Thanks for the responses, I’ll just go with some $50 speakers from Amazon and honestly they’ll probably be better than what I have now anyway

Can I just swing on into WalMart and buy those cheap speakers if I have Bose? I'm not an audiophile... the Bose sounds like ass though, and one speaker has popped.

If not, no huge deal.
