Ryan T Very entertaining it's your typical sci fi action movie of that time with a twist. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/24/23 Full Review Josh G The 80's at it's finest when Dj tanner dates abs boy, evil robot teachers are here to kick butt and murder everyone who doesn't obey. This is a kick ass, fast paced awesome scifi film from start to finish. Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 12/08/23 Full Review DanTheMan 2 Class of 1999 is certified B-movie genre goodness, take the unruly setting of its predecessor but this time mix it with Terminator Teachers and the dystopia of Escape from New York. Everything about Class Of 1999 screams 1980s. The fashions, dialogue and soundtrack are almost a perfect snapshot of the era. It's completely insane and totally unrestrained in the best way imaginable, more than deserving of a Gold Star. Plenty of cult movie actors including the likes of Malcolm McDowell, Stacy Keach, John P. Ryan, Patrick Kilpatrick and Pam Grier; all having the time of their lives delivering on the movie's made cap premise. It's violent, sweary and full of cheesy dialogue. Naturally, the sci-fi-led effects are cheap, cheerful and, most importantly, practical, in keeping with the budget. It's the sort of film that nowadays would go straight to DVD without so much as a blink of an eye. Acquired taste? For sure. Coolly anarchic in a B-movie way? Definitely. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 09/26/23 Full Review David W A deserved cult classic sci-fi b-movie. Very much of the era and with an excellent cast who ham it up gloriously. It's cheesy and it knows it but It's long been a guilty pleasure movie of my friends and I. Punks vs Terminators, what's not to love? :) Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 07/06/23 Full Review william k Trashy sci-fi actioner with a put-on message; watch it waste its star cast's talents! Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review jon c Malcolm McDowell, Pam Grier, Stacey Keach, and Bradley Gregg in a mixture of 'Terminator' meets 'Robocop' with some 'Breakfast Club' after 1998 Seattle became a hot zone for crime run rampant with many of the United States high schools plunged into ruin and turmoil now many high schoolers patrol the streets with firearms where chaos and disorder are abound forming many gangs even the schools have patrol officers roaming the grounds to keep stability in check but the police will not enter the main character ex-con Cody sees a chance to get things back on track yet the government's response to the wasteland of the youth of America may prove challenging thanks to the Department of Educational Defense not to mention new girl Christie's father is the principal, Miles Langford who just wants balance brought back to the institution 3 cybernetic professors have been manufactured to bring order and stability back to Kennedy High School unbeknownst to the students themselves; living human tissue over robotic bits of data and metal, all these teachers believe in is hard punishment and discipline depending on the students' actions and misbehavior  can the future of education still survive or will it be up to the teenage gangs to take back what's theirs? or is the programming too strong and putting the students in danger? is military learning a good mixture with school education? a war is then waged on all sides but it's important to know who your real enemies are  the movie is perfectly paced, love the set design of a gang ridden, graffiti covered environments, the action is pretty damn fun to watch, and the level of violence is quite bloody next to the makeup FX oh and did I mention the number of explosions that take place, too? wow! also keep in mind this came out in the 1980's where pretty much the feel of America was filled with drugs, guns, pollution, gangs, and run down neighborhoods this is a stupid, over-the-top sci-fi teen action flick that delivers on its entertainment value and that's good enough for my book you'll never look at high school the same way again or state-of-the-art technology for that matter after this one Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating

Jan 1, 2000 Full Review Entertainment Weekly Rated: B- May 1, 1990 Full Review Eddie Harrison film-authority.com …Class of 1999 deserves a gold star for trying, it’s got some great cult performers acting up big time, and plenty of mad action… Rated: 3/5 Feb 18, 2023 Full Review Eve Tushnet Patheos 1984 has a certain grim conviction in spite of its soapiness; this felt more soulless, and the action bored me, but I admit I'm not really into that kind of movie as a rule. Oct 21, 2022 Full Review Chris Jackson Starburst Everything about Class Of 1999 screams 1980s, which is no bad thing of course. The fashions, dialogue and soundtrack are almost a perfect snapshot of the era, despite the film being set right at the tail end of the 20th century.
