Maria Bello Dating Younger Man After Breaking Up with Girlfriend Clare Munn: 'They Complement Each Other and Care About the Same Things'

Maria Bello is happy in love.

Bello, 48, is dating 29-year-old Elijah Allan-Blitz after splitting from girlfriend Clare Munn, Bello’s rep confirms to PEOPLE.

“They complement each other and they care about the same things,” the rep adds.

Bello and Allen-Blitz, a virtual reality director for mindfulness teaching, were first linked in August, after the two were seen getting affectionate during an afternoon outing in Santa Barbara, California.

Allan-Blitz co-directred a promotional video for Bello’s book Whatever…Love Is Love over the summer, alongside Munn, her girlfriend of two years.

Bello and Munn were last photographed together in June at the middle school graduation of her son Jackson, whom she shares with ex Dan McDermott.

Bello penned a personal essay in 2013 titled “Coming Out as a Modern Family,” in which she described falling in love with her female best friend.

“As I continued to look through photos, I came across a black-and-white one of my best friend and me taken on New Year’s Eve,” she wrote in The New York Times. “We looked so happy, I couldn’t help but smile. It didn’t occur to me, until that soul-searching moment in my garden, that we could perhaps choose to love each other romantically.”

Bello and Allan-Blitz, who enjoyed a spiritual getaway to Guatemala over New Year’s, “are a good match”, says the actress’s rep.

Bello, whose Warner Bros horror film Lights Out will be relased July 22, begins work next month on Trial, for Amazon.
